We spoke to Lasca, who was actually out with her family for dinner Despite this, she got us set up in the cutest farmhouse, gave us directions and instructions to get in, and after her dinner was over, she stopped by to check if we needed anything. The excellent service did did not stop there. We were treated like family, and we really enjoyed walking the beautiful, scenic grounds and hanging out at "The Club" on property! Next time we go to Fredericksburg, we know where we will stay - at Barons Creekside!

I understand that the cabins are old, and authentic but it would help a little. I would also recommend a little better dusting, around window sills, and windows/curtains, a fair amount of dust that came off, every time we closed the blinds or pulled the curtains. The room was appointed in beautiful old world charm. It had a huge king size bed that sits high off the floor, an old hard wood cloths wardrobe and night stands on each side of the bed. It was also furnished with a couch that pulls out into a bed and also a coffee table. The bathroom was great , it has a huge jacuzzi soaking tub that easily accommodates 2 . I had to use the step stool provided for the bed to get into the tub. I am only 5'1 and the tub is so deep that it's hard to get into. Yes here is not much counter space in the bathroom to put toiletries but we made do. There is also a fridge , microwave and coffee maker in the room. The grounds are well kept and the pool area is so relaxing. In the outdoor lounge area there are comfy couches and a fire place. Breakfast baskets are provided every morning and were a great touch. It was an amazing weekend and we will definitely be back.

Thankfully, we found out that it's not quite as expensive as it looks, and we could afford to stay there, so we did! The room was wonderful and very comfortable. I love the stone wall! Only qualm I had was in regard to the shower/tub. The jacuzzi tub itself was amazing, but they put a "rainshower" head above it for showers. First of all, it was a regular showerhead pointed straight down, not a rainshower like those positioned that way should be. A sign asks you to utilize the shower curtain properly so there is no water damage... which is impossible even when using the curtain. It's just a very odd setup. There will be water damage just of how the whole thing was designed. Worst about it all, was how high the tub itself is- if you are in any way disabled (be it permanently or temporarily injured) or elderly, you are going to despise this tub/shower. I'm a 34-year old fit and active person, and I struggled getting in and out of this thing. It's awkward to start with but then add water and oh sh!t, you're going down for sure! We used the stairs for the bed and put them in the bathroom for this reason but it didn't help much. Other than that, everything else was spectacular. The staff was friendly and helpful. We took advantage of the fireplace which was SO cozy! Perfect for the chilly nights we had. They supply firewood and firestarters so it's very easy to make your own. During one of the days, it was warm enough to enjoy the pool too. Breakfast gets delivered in an adorable picnic basket and it's loaded! We expected the norm of simple breakfast options like mini boxes of cereal and muffins. Nope! Hard-boiled eggs, fruit galore, prosciutto, cheese, danishes/pastries, oatmeal, and yogurt. It was different every day and delicious every day. Treat yourself and stay here! You'll be glad you did. If you fear the wacky tub/shower, don't choose room 10. That's where we were but all the rooms are unique and others may have a better layout in the bathroom.

We had a very disappointing experience. When we checked in on 2/6, the first property did not have…read morerunning water. No one contacted us about any issue prior to arrival. I had to call the host to report the problem, and during that call was informed they were already aware of the water issue and were working on relocation. We were then relocated to another home, which also did not have running water for the duration of our stay (2/6-2/8). A maintenance technician later indicated there were ongoing water issues. Without running water, we were unable to cook, wash dishes, make ice, do laundry, flush toilets, or wash our hands. These are basic necessities and habitability standards, not minor inconveniences. We reported the issue immediately and remained in communication throughout the weekend. Unfortunately, the resolution offered did not reflect the severity of the situation. Future guests should confirm that all essential utilities are fully operational prior to arrival.

It's got all the modern amenities you'd want. Beautiful modern bathroom with walk-in shower (though the water pressure left a little to be desired). Comfortable sitting room. Cute kitchenette. King sized bed with perhaps the comfiest mattress and sheets I've ever slept in. There's a salt water hot tub outside as well. There's another rental property right next door in the old converted barn, but we still felt like we had a lot of privacy. And you're close to 290 so you get some highway noise (not from the inside of the cabin), but then again that also means you're just minutes from downtown Fredericksburg. There's satellite TV and Wi-Fi available for those who can't completely unplug. The rental owner left lots of nice touches like a complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates and snacks and a Keurig coffee maker. Just an FYI there's no range or hotplate in the kitchen, but there is a microwave and waffle maker along with plates and bowls and such. Price was spot on to what I'd expect from this level of accommodation and working with the owner was very easy. Would definitely return. Very happy to make this my 500th review!

Recently updated, it was cozy and comfortable with lots of great amenities. I didn't receive any information regarding our stay until arriving at the property and realizing there is a gate around the property. A gate code is needed...well that is good information to send to your customers a day or so out in an email. Just sayin.... So after calling the number listed in an email received when i paid the deposit to stay at Day Dream Cabins about 6 or 7 times with no answer and no way to leave a voicemail, i get a text message with the gate code and the code to get into our cabin. That was kinda bad communication on their part because it was an hour after check-in time and we were sitting at the gate trying to get in. Anyway, i am not going to allow that to make me not enjoy my stay at this beautiful property. The bed was so comfortable, the kitchen was pretty well stocked with pots and pans, but bring paper plates and silverware and coffee with you! There are some very small coffee cups and plates to use but.... The refrigerator is very cute, but is not there for a lot of food. Freezer space is very small. Bring a cooler with ice to keep drinks cold if you are planning on a multi day stay. They provide wood for the fire pit and there should be a fire starter in your cabin but you might need some lighter fluid or a starter log. You also will need charcoal for the grills if you plan to cookout. Fredericksburg is a short 5 minute drive up 16, so very convenient to go and shop or for dinner and drinks. We are looking forward to visiting again with all the above things in mind for our next trip. Very peaceful place with great patios on all the cabins. Go check this place out!

We booked this property expecting what was shown in the listing photos -- a clean, comfortable home…read morefor $600/night. What we found on arrival Thursday was completely different. The house showed clear signs of active personal occupancy, with belongings crammed into nearly every room, and a remodel had been done that isn't reflected in the listing photos at all (and actually removed some features shown online). Outside, there was stacked limestone and a dirt mound covered with a tarp. Both refrigerators -- the kitchen unit and a second one in the laundry room -- were packed with the owner's personal food and items, leaving almost no room for our own groceries. We spent our first evening cleaning out refrigerators instead of settling in, since it was too late in the day to find alternative accommodations. The pool was dirty and unusable Thursday evening. A cleaner didn't show up until mid-morning Friday, so we lost use of an amenity we'd paid for. Most seriously: we found six scorpions inside the home during our stay, including one in the bed. We took video showing multiple live scorpions inside light fixtures, which strongly suggests an infestation in the attic or walls -- not just the occasional one wandering in. This is a genuine safety hazard for any guest, but especially for us, traveling with a 15-month-old and a 91-year-old family member, either of whom would need emergency care if stung. We also ran out of trash bags partway through our five-day stay (given only two at check-in) and called the after-hours line on Sunday to request more. None were ever brought. We reached out multiple times by email and phone (including calls on Friday and Sunday) trying to resolve these issues during our stay and after, and have not received a satisfactory response. We would not recommend this property until these issues -- particularly the scorpion infestation -- are addressed.

The suit was old-world charming with a huge 4-poster bed, a large couch, and an overstuffed chair. There is also a large TV, a small kitchenette, and a fridge. Suite number 1 sits right on Main St, so if you are a light sleeper, then you should probably rent one of the other suites that are not facing the street. Unfortunately, fortunately, we did not get a chance to enjoy this suite as the ceiling AC decided to spring a leak and there was a considerable amount of water leaking onto the hardwood floors. A call to management, and we were moved to one of their new world units that sit between Main and East Austin St. This was a spacious, well-appointed unit with a large patio and hot tub. So what started a tad rough became a wonderful weekend experience. Kudos to the support team and owner for quickly responding to our issue and exceeding our expectations.
