The first time I saw one of their trucks I thought, that's kind of silly. Who needs someone else to wash their trash bin? Oh how wrong I was. I thought I should update my review after my last experience: I may have failed a bit in communicating with my Better Half on the pick-up scheduling and the end result was a recycle bin full of "stuff." Oops. Anyway, the Austin Bin Wash people came as scheduled, found the recycle bin full, and there was nothing they could do. I received the nicest note from their office letting me know why they hadn't washed by bin - and they CUT MY BILL for that service! I also like that they email both before and after every service. Really, their service, their systems, their back office staff and their policies are all top-notch. In an era when "customer service" has become a late-night punchline, an exercise in navigating automated phone trees, or waiting on hold for an international call center reading from prepared scripts, this is a refreshing change. I was impressed when I initially used them, they were great. I had to reschedule to a different date for my 2nd appointment. No one came on my scheduled day and when I called, they took me off the route and said I was on schedule for the end of the month. ABW came in clutch to help us fix a problem I never, ever thought I'd have. We use compost in addition to trash and recycling and recently we found rat droppings in our garage where the bins are all kept. We keep a clean space, so this was shocking, but still...it happened. The weird part was the compost was never really full. Just smelled bad which probably attracted the issue. So we called ABW and started a monthly rotation of getting the bins cleaned. Wow! Why haven't I've been using this service before! I am a believer and I will be using them again. The process was all online and easy to set up. I received a notice a few days before to remind me and on the day of the cleaning they came and went without any issues. They even set the bins up my driveway. The bins are cleaner than when they were new. If you use your garage for more than parking your car and you store your stinky bins in there.
