I'm the personal assistant to a family that just moved into a new-to-them house. Their trash and recycling bins were the nastiest, smelliest most disgusting bins in the entire city of Austin. They smelled like death and looked like it too. I called the city, begging them for new trash bins. Of course, the answer was NO! However, the very kind city employee told me that she had seen fliers on her door for a bin washing service. She gave me the info on Austin Bin Washing. I really just wanted to get some new trash cans for the awesome family I work for, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to give ABW a try. Arranging the service was simple and pain-free. I like that they didn't require payment until AFTER the suds had settled. Speaking of suds.... WOWZER!! I'm not sure what kind of suds they use, but they worked some serious magic on the previously described bins of death! As I pulled the trash bins up to the house I could even smell the sweet smell of those magic suds. I stuck my whole face into the trash can just to inhale its sweetness (how often have you done THAT???). Aside from the pre-existing scratches, gouges, and dents on the bins, they looked brand new! I wanted to write and share what an amazing experience we had with this company. Both my husband and I were totally unaware that our garbage company neglected to empty our recycle can the day before our scheduled cleaning. Honestly, we should've checked because we have had problems with them not emptying it in the past...but we didn't. We have a security camera in the front of our house that alerts us to movement, so we could see when the truck driver showed up and opened the can to find it still full. I'm sure he was frustrated, and could have easily cancelled the washing or rescheduled for a later date, which would have been completely understandable. That is not what he did. He took the can and emptied it himself, then proceeded to wash both cans and place them at the top of our very steep driveway once finished. This was the first time we had used this service, and I was so looking forward to those clean cans! I really can't express how thankful I am that he took the extra time and effort to do this for us. We will certainly be continuing the service for ourselves, and will recommend it to all our friends and neighbors! read more

my son got me a gift certificate for christmas for 2 bins. they are clearer than i thought possible. the lid is back to being black. i clean them myself pretty regularly and never get them to look this clean. BEST PART - they are sanitized. they get especially gross with the summer heat (even with the bag liner i use). was so happy to put them back and not feel like the ick i usually do. I've found yelp to generally be the place for haters so this may be hard to believe but this company is awesome. They return emails. They show up. A reminder email is sent reminding you what day they will be there. They move the carts to the garage so you know they've been cleaned. They cleaned one of my carts for free for 3 months just b/c the owner couldn't leave it undone though I was only paying for 2 carts. My cans are cleaned and washed with environmental consciousness.
