I received several calls, texts and emails prior to my appointment confirming my scheduled date and time. I also filled out the online questionnaire which included my insurance information. When I arrived, I arrived 15 mins ahead of my scheduled time only to be told that they might not accept my insurance but that I can join their membership program. After waiting 10-15 mins they still didn't verify my insurance but told me they don't accept HMO's. My insurance is an HMO, so I left. It seemed like a really nice place, it just would have been nice if they ran my insurance before I went out of my way.

((((( MAJOR SIDE NOTE: The first experience was with the Dr. Axelrodes... epic fail - which I can write about and should write about- but I don't really like writing mean reviews. Bottom line: 6 years with both top and bottom braces- quoted 2 years - my teeth weren't that bad - and also a huge jaw popping problem which my dentist wanted me to sue them over but I never did. FAIL!!!))))) Karen- the lovely, friendly, and super nice receptionist always made me feel welcome. She worked with my schedule wonderfully. I ran late once and no one made me feel uncomfortable or bad about it- instead they kindly allowed me to come in 10 minutes late and did not make me feel like they had ruined their next appointment at all. Another time I totally forgot to call in and reschedule due to work- and again- I was treated kindly and easily rescheduled. Judy - the bubbly, energetic, orthodontist assistant (?) - was also cool. She was in charge of my molds, removal of bands and wires, and was about as gentle as it gets when you work with that kind of awkward thing. In my life I've gotten at least 4 molds done on my teeth and she made sure to accommodate my weirdly shaped gums/ridges and didn't force a metal plate into my mouth. (like the Axelrodes did- just fyi.) I really appreciated that btw Judy if you read this. Thank you. Dr. Ludwig- friendly, professional, and knows what he's doing. He told me exactly how long my braces would be on for and did not need to put it off for four years as did my last orthodontist- my conclusion is.... that he knows what he's doing and he does it well. I'm getting my braces off tomorrow and I'll have to update this if anything goes wrong (ha! no update will be added due to 100% positive it'll be awesome). But I am so glad I chose to work with this Orthodontist office and highly recommend them to all you amazing yelpers out there!!! ;)

But once inside you are greeted by a quaint, modern and well appointed office. Dr Ludwig knows teeth and he knows how to move them. I started off with teeth that looked like Stonehenge. Dr Ludwig managed to work his magic and my teeth are straight and all the gaps are gone. After a few years you get to know people and I believe Dr Ludwig is very sincere and cares about what he is doing. Dr Ludwig and his staff are very good people and it shows in their work. Always going out of the way to help families to resolve issues. 3) this office uses the points system to motivate children to take care of their teeth and braces: keeping your teeth clean and healthy can win you a gift card to jumba juice or Starbucks!
