I spoke to three companies about my floor. I had done it myself 15 years ago and the old epoxy needed to be removed. Longhorn came out and looked at it and didn't act like they knew what to do and said it was gong to be very expensive to get the old epoxy off. They had to do research and then they were going to call me back. I never heard from them again. GarageApes came out and wanted to sell me storage racks more so then getting my garage floor done. At this point I had two days invested off of work and nothing had been done. My biggest concern was I didn't feel like I could count on them to get the job done and show up. I live in the country and it is a hassle to get to my place. Imagine moving all your stuff out of your garage and then nobody shows up to work when they said they would. Based on positive Yelp reviews, I called David and he was at my house the next evening to give me a quote on the garage and back patio. He provided me a price per square foot over the phone, so I calculated an estimate before he arrived. David's estimate was spot on...no surprise fees, etc. David arrived on time both days (two-day job), and did a great job with installation and cleanup. He also taped-off the door leading from the garage into the house, to reduce the epoxy smell while the floor dried. When looking for someone to do my garage floor, David/Austin Epoxy Floors was the only one I could find reviews on. While I had called and emailed someone else I already knew, David answered the phone and came over right away. He was professional and available, so I went with him to do the work. We just moved from Austin to Driftwood. I LOVE my garage and have always painted and epoxy'd the floors myself with those kits from Lowes or Home Depot. This time I decided that before we moved in, I would have a professional do it. I called David, left a message and he called me right back. The next day we went to the house and he gave me a quote. My garage is a four car so it's big. David showed up the next day and laid down the paint and chips, then came back the day after and did the top coat. It's the MOST beautiful garage floor I have ever seen and I'm not exaggerating. David was outstanding, professional, on-time, and lived up to all my expectations. Even the builder stopped by after it was done and was amazed at how it looked. We picked the Portabello color and the brown star with the Red Ring. We hired David to do our garage floor in Spanish Oaks in Bee Cave, TX. David met us at the house on time, brought samples, a bid, and we hired him after looking at others. He is very professional, hardworking, takes pride in his work, shows up on time, and finishes in the time he says the job will take. There is no upselling of anything else and he is no nonsense and very respectful. He was thorough on his diamond grind of the floor, he uses high quality materials, does a 300% coverage with the epoxy chips, and cleans up after his work is complete. In my previous house I had Home Depot do the epoxy floor. Huge mistake. There is no comparison in the materials or the broadcast coverage of the high quality materials David uses. We would highly recommend David to anyone. Full disclosure: we didn't know David. We saw our neighbor's floor in Spanish Oaks and they directed us to Austin Epoxy because that is who did their floor.
