Sometimes I've boarded her, which usually causes her to be reluctant the next time we go for day care. Not at Pups and Pals! She is so excited every morning! The daily schedule allows for group play and indoor rest. The staff evaluates the dogs' personalities, size, and energy levels before putting them in a group. Playtime includes best friends, lots of cuddles and kisses, pools in the summer, and always playscapes. They go out anywhere between 6-8 times a day, with breaks in their air conditioned suites. The building is super nice, very new, and the play areas have K9 grass that keeps their paws nice and clean. I especially like that it is hosed every night. BTW there's a groomer onsite! Just a heads up -- it's hard to see the marquis from the 1st street entrance. You really need to know what you're looking for! April and I give Pups and Paws 4 paws up!

Anybody with clippers and time could have accomplished this. 4 hours and $100+ later, I expected the quality of cut my dog had received in the past for a lower price and in less time. I'm not sure if they have new staff or if someone was having a bad day, but this did not live up to my previous experience here and we'll be looking elsewhere in the future.

We also have twin 1 year old boys so our goals for Caitlin training Watson (the dog) were lofty! After just two weeks with her, Watson was walking so nicely with the stroller and on his leash. He learned how to greet all of us kindly, including the babies with very gentle, mindful "hugs". He was just so polite, even in his excitement to see us he didn't jump once!! Her husband and kids participated in loving and "helping" Watson learn!!! Which I know is huge for us! Caitlin allowed Watson to be a puppy, make mistakes and try again. He learned, succeeded and thrived. The ultimate outcome, Watson will be a very well mannered dog, but that will take work on OUR part. Caitlin set an INCREDIBLE foundation and we are responsible for making it stick!!! Caitlin is accessible, very realistic, and listens to the goals that a family has for their fur baby. My dog Leroy was with me and I asked how much for bath and nails. Her prices were comparable to those local chain groomers in the pet stores without all the drama of bringing them there, having them kenneled and leaving. I took her card and scheduled an appointment, which happened this afternoon. I asked her what she would need, and she said she brought most of her own stuff and just asked that I provide the towels. She is however, happy to use any products you wish to provide. Lori texted me a day before, and arrived promptly at the designated time. While she was bathing them, I could hear her sweetly talking to them and keeping them calm and happy during their baths, drying and nail trim. She treated them like they were her dogs. Within an hour and a half, I had two freshly washed, nail trimmed, happy dogs. Leroy and Ivy are stylin' now! Woof! I had her use my guest bath (but you can have her also bathe them outside). When she was finished, she cleaned up the area thoroughly and I had the sweet smell of clean dogs.
