I was referred to this company by a disabled man I met on the bus; he was using an electric mobility scooter, which is something that I want and need. He explained how he went through Austin Wheelchair, so I called them and sent them an e-mail to the "Contact Us" e-mail address on their website. I asked what I needed to get the balling rolling so I can get an electric scooter through my insurance company due to my disability. When I didn't get a response, I called them from the doctor's office, and the receptionist told me that I needed a prescription from my doctor ordering either a mobility device or an assessment for one. As a result, I got the required note from my physician and sent it in to Austin Wheelchair as instructed. The receptionist also gave me the name and e-mail address of the gentleman who would deal with me. I then e-mailed the note to Austin Wheelchair to the gentleman per the receptionist's instructions and to the e-mail address mentioned in their website. Again, no response. After not receiving a response, I then called the company receptionist, Stacey, the next day to confirm that they had received my e-mails and attachments, and she confirmed that they did. She spoke to the person who either owns or manages the company, and he specifically forwarded my e-mails & dr's note to the gentleman who is supposed to handle my application and he would call me asap. It''s been two days and no attempt to contact me via any means. If they are too busy to be able to handle my business, then I don't want to deal with them; likewise, if they are too lazy to deal with me, then the future doesn't look bright if I use this company. Hopefully I'll have better luck with a different company. UPDATE: It's been 3 days and still no response of any kind. I contacted a different company with good reviews here in Yelp, and they began corresponding with me immediately, got my insurance company info (which is through my employer the City of Austin), asked for necessary information, and I'm going to go in an look at devices this week. This is how it should be done.

This Sienna is by far one of the nicest vehicle I have ever owned. Isabel, the general manager has handled the last 2 sales. Steve one of the maintenance guys, is great, and always seems to have a unique fix for strange issues that come up. I haven't always been happy with the service especially when I tried to get a ramp check about 14 monthis ago. To be fair, Covid19 was still an issue, and they had just hired a new service manager, ( he is gone now). Initially, years ago, I was not to happy to learn that I had to pay an iventory tax, but that is a company policy not the dealers problem, and I learned to live with it. Isabel and her people have always responded to meet my needs. They have kept my vehicles in good shape, and they take my old vehicle back on trade in. I am fortunate as a veteran the VA pays for the cost of the conversion, while I only pay the cost of the new vehicle. This vehicle allows me to go places, that I could not otherwise go. Its better than carrying a wheelchair on the back of a truck or car. The ramp van restored my freedom to do what I want to do with out depending on someone else. (To be sure in 2020, I purchased a vehicle from Mobility Works, that dealer was hard to work with, their personal would say things that were not fact. They just did not know how to treat people.) My inital vehicle and the last two have come from United Access. If I ever need another van I will return to United Access. Thanks to the people of United Access for everything they do for me and other veterans.

When his chair started malfunctioning and National Seating and Mobility said it would be 5 months before they could schedule time to even evaluate what the chair needed, I desperately looked for anyone else who could help. I found Martin Mobility. Within 2 days they had diagnosed the problem and within a week had fixed it. Since then, they have continued to maintain his power chair, always bringing him another power chair to use for the interim. They are courteous, knowledgeable and such a pleasure to work with. Jordan just turned 18 yesterday, and he already runs his business with more professionalism, integrity, and kindness than many seasoned companies. A few weeks ago, I saw a post about Jordan helping a woman stranded with a flat tire and a small child in the car--and he refused payment. He helped simply because it was the right thing to do, believing good deeds come back around. That alone impressed me. Then, this past Saturday, my husband was driving to Lago Vista to pick up his dad for his 91st birthday party when he had a tire blowout that completely came off the rim. Because of the ice storm, we had to wait a couple of days--but the moment we contacted Jordan, his communication was excellent. He was punctual, professional, and handled everything quickly and safely. He removed the damaged tire, put on the spare, and made sure the vehicle was safe to drive for repairs. Jordan was incredibly respectful, polite, and kind--just a genuinely good young man. And to top it off, his pricing was very reasonable. My husband tried to tip him extra for such outstanding service, and Jordan gave the money back, insisting his fee was more than enough. We have AAA and could have called them, but we wanted to support a young local business owner who clearly believes in paying it forward. We are so glad we did.
