We were here for Firebirds but there are a dozen and a half others from quick order to sit down. Do you prefer shopping? How about Field & Stream and TJ Maxx? Hotels, movie theater and fitness center too. It's a busy place and getting set in the right direction was a challenge. I can not imagine what a mess this place must be during the Christmas season. Whomever designed this place, which feels like it was dropped in with no regard to the surrounding landscape, was possibly a civil engineering dropout or friend of a local politician. Let me list the ways this place will inspire frustration if your try to navigate this eyesore. 1. Interconnected parking lots, why do that? Let's just have everyone funnel in and out of one entry/exit. 2. No crosswalks (I felt like I was going to die in Ohio) 3. About crosswalks, how about some pedestrian marking and signals? You know since it's "walkable". 4. Speaking of trying not to get hit by car operated by a texting teen, how about speed-bumps and some four-way stops? 5. Finally, the signage for this place is confusing and subpar but no need to worry...look at the fountain!!! If I was a tax-paying Miamisburg citizen I would want to see the receipts on the construction group that put this place together. Nice Christmas decorations, NOT busy at all on the Saturday night we ventured out that way, and, although far from "finished" yet, I imagine it'll have most of the outdoor mall "usual suspects," along with a few unique offerings thrown in for good measure. Parking was EASY, which I'm sure will change with better weather/completion. I will say that this place is a pedestrian nightmare, in contrast to Easton in Columbus and The Greene in Beavercreek/Dayton (or wherever the heck it is...) which are MUCH more browser friendly, which (I imagine) is the whole point of places like this. Here you have to rush across several semi-major/busy streets to get to the chain restaurant of your choice... We had a bit of a struggle on a NOT so busy night, can't imagine what it would be like during warmer weather and/or when this place is finally finished. Not bad, but nothing all that "must see" if you've got another one of these "artificial towne centres" in your neck of the woods. I suppose we'll be back in warmer weather to see the finished product, but in no great rush.... read more

The parking here sucks , I hate coming here . Not pedestrian friendly at all , parking lots are like a maze. The only time I venture into this place is Kohl's and TJ Maxx. The same developer has plans for the sight of the old Kroger in Centerville..... that should be a hot mess . read more

Austin Landing is one of the newer outdoor lifestyle areas that are popping up instead of indoor malls. It continues to evolve with more and more being built here every day. Currently featured are many different types of places. There is Kroger and Kroger gas, apartments, a movie theater, many restaurants (casual to upscale), private businesses, Kohls, TJMaxx/Homegoods, Field and Stream, exercise places, and so much more! The only downside here is that there is just not enough parking in certain sections. The way it is situated for many of the middle restaurants is quite awkward and leaves you walking somewhat far. Employees are required to park at the parking garage so it is busy purely from consumers. During nicer weather it can be nice to walk around and browse or enjoy some of the pretty outdoor water features. They often hold events here such as food or concert type things. Some are to benefit charities! Check their website for a calendar of said events. Overall this is a great place to visit that is clean and nicely landscaped. read more

There are a lot of restaurants and some shopping places to check out here! There is also a movie theater. It's small than the Greene but a place to check out. I will say, parking is HELL. If you are an inexperienced driver, have someone else take you. Besides that it's ok. The place is slowly growing so be on the lookout for new shops! read more

Great concept, poor execution. The Greene is the standard that this spot should have copied. The Greene is a delightful place for pedestrians to go, be, enjoy, and spend. Austin Landing is the complete opposite. You don't want to walk around there because the layout makes no sense and traffic is a danger. There's no ambience and no desire to just go and spend time. It's a place you go for one particular store or restaurant, and then leave. read more

I was excited to see this development start but have not been impressed with the large amount of chain restaurants and few retail options. The parking lot and traffic flow is challenging. The only restaurant worth frequenting is Another Broken Egg, it's decent and consistent. Other than that, we don't go very often. I can get everything I need elsewhere and do not have to deal with the annoying parking and traffic. read more

Whoever designed this place must like playing Grand Theft Auto. It's a pedestrians nightmare. Sidewalks lead to god knows where. Parking lots are everywhere. You literally walk down a sidewalk and the next thing you know you are standing in the middle of some parking lot or walking through some landscaping or about to get run over by a hundred cars speeding around some corner. Whoever designed this was more interested in making money rather than creating something truly worth people's time and energy. Just cram in as many chain restaurants and big box stores as possible and hopefully no one gets killed by soccer moms in their minivans rushing to Panera in between picking up or dropping off their kiddos down the street. Wait until the movie theater opens, it will literally be a traffic jam in a parking lot. Austin Landing is literally a forced neighborhood. It's what developers think you should like - so like it damn it because they need the cash to build more. Austin Landing is like lipstick on a pig. Create something that looks nice but is actually just a mess. Can I stop complaining now? Well...Great Kroger! Overall, Austin Landing seems very congested and not well planned out for good pedestrian use...I want a movie theater...Nothing big, maybe two screens is all but have the recliner seating with the awesome audio and capability of 3D. The new flats look nice, but they should for the prices they are charging... I will be trying out some of the restaurants and shopping for groceries and what not, since I will be living near by soon...The New Austin Park Apartments will be completed by May...I am really excited... read more
