This is an outdoor shopping mall with some restaurants and a movie theater. It has changed throughout the years and right now I think it's on the down end of things. There are a decent amount of good stores (American Eagle, Soma, Victoria Secret, Sephora, Kendra Scott, Bath & Body Works, Books & Co.) and some okay restaurants (Panera, Chipotle, Cheesecake Factory, The Pub, Coronado Taco), but there is a lot of empty restaurants as well as random stores. The two main nicest restaurants are now gone so you are only left with one higher end steak house. They definitely need to figure out how to revitalize the area. Parking is ample. read more

I work close to the Greene and it is a go to for me and my coworkers on lunch breaks or after work. There are plenty of places to eat and there's something for everyone. There are plenty of sit down restaurants (The Pub, Pies and Pints, Condado, The Brio) and multiple quick eats (Auntie Anne's, Cold Stone Creamery). There is also so many shopping options ranging from clothes, to shoes, to board games. There is also an Apple location here. During the summer, there is a fountain located in the center when kids can play and cool off. At Christmas, a huge tree is placed in the same central green area. There is plenty of parking as well. Some lots fill up quicker (the lot by the Pub), but there are other lots and garages. The Greene is also not that large, so no matter where you park compared to where you are trying to go, it will only be a short walk. They also have a public bathroom and water fountains. Be careful when crossing the street around here though. There are lots of crosswalks, but it can be hard to see around cars parked on the street. If you have some free time, I would recommend stopping by and spending some time walking around the Greene. read more

I thought this was the last thing the Dayton Region needed...more shopping space. So many empty stores in the local malls and the Salem Mall even being torn down. And won't it be cold or hot when moving from one store to another. Fresh air is over rated. I was wrong. This place in unique. It's a fun mixture of great restaurants, interesting shopping, salons, businesses, bars and entertainment. It's become my go to destination. Parking here is easy if you know the location you want to go to, and it's actually pretty easy to just walk. Don't care about fresh air and exercise...You can easily move the car from one end to another, and if you're really lucky you'll get on street parking in a central location. I very seldom go to either the Dayton Mall or Fairfield Common malls, cause they're just malls. Malls are so 70's. Now if only Cornerstone can get on the ball and add some great shopping. It's the up and comer, but doesn't hold a light to Greene. It's easy to be Greene after all. read more

I enjoy coming to the Greene for shopping, eating at the different restaurants and watching movies at the RAVE. I tend to come here more so than Fairfield Commons and the Dayton Mall. I love shopping at an outdoor mall! When the Greene first opened, it was a nice mix on unique local and national shops. Gradually, the local flavor is fading and as they do, more national chains take their place. Seems a shame to lose that mix. Still, the vacant storefronts are rapidly filled, even if they are the same old places I have seen in a thousand other cities and places. About the only difference anymore is it is an open air center in Dayton instead of a closed mall in Omaha, Dallas, Cupertino or any city you could care to name. The Greene Town Center - Center of the Center - Shopping Centers Near Me - Beavercreek, Ohio

A short review this will be. The Greene is the younger sibling of The Easton Town Center in Columbus. Smaller but still growing. Has a large number of stores and restaurants, mostly chain stuff. There is one notable exception, Books and Company, which I believe is a locally owned book store which is right next to The Pub. Very nice book store with a very open and inviting feel. Great selection of reading material. Equal to Barnes and Nobles any day in my book. If you read my review of Columbus's Easton, you'll have this review. They are so similar in look, feel, purpose, everything. It's pathetic. The Greene is about 1/2 the size of Easton with about 1/2 the same stores and restaurants. It's too bad they didn't try to change the theme of the place so that people would have a reason to go to one and then another as opposed to doing it the same. What I'm saying is that it could've been done in an Art Deco theme, an English town theme, a Parisian theme, anything else but the same American theme as Easton. Wouldn't that be cool? But no, they made it the same. Why make it the same? It's part of the Disneyfication / McDonaldization of America. 5 Stars for what they do and for doing it so well though. It brings jobs to the area and contributes to the growth of the SE Dayton area. Not really my thing but it works for most people these days. read more

The Greene is an outdoor shopping center... almost like a tiny town of just stores. While it's nice looking and laid out ok, I just don't get the appeal here. Parking is on the street- meaning about two places in front of each store- or in garages at the far ends of the streets. No matter what, you're looking at a lot of walking around outside... which in Ohio, is only fun a handful of days a year (you're either freezing or melting). Call me old fashioned, but a strip mall or an indoor mall makes more sense to me, unless you're just here for the exercise. The sidewalks are narrow- two couples can't pass at a time- so it's not really open for strolling in groups. Maybe if I just got some iced coffee and looked at this as a place to walk around and hang out, I'd "get it"? I don't know. The stores are mostly middle to higher end stores, with VonMaur as the biggest department store. Books & Co. and Old Navy are the two stores I visit most often here. This is a fantastic outdoor shopping community for day and night time. The shops are open the same hours as a mall. It is nice to be able to walk around in any kind of weather and see stores that are local as well as chain stores intermingled with each other. Parking is a little limited but if you drive around enough you'll find some. They have every type of food you would want, and any shop just about that you would want. Great place to go shopping for any occasion. Great place to go and window shop if your lonely or bored or just need a change of scenery. read more

This is your typical tacky/trendy outdoor mall that works so well in Florida and California. I've been to many of them, but just like the Cincinnati Premium Outlets mall in Monroe, snow and ice can make this mall a problem. Even on good days, finding your way to a parking space may be a problem, if you're coming from Indian Ripple Road. If you arrive from Stroop Road, turn early and use the parking to the south, including the garage. Once parked, you have the wondrous experience of dodging traffic again, unless you're lucky enough to find parking on the street, next to the store you're visiting. Many of the stores seem to be those which you could find at Fairfield Commons or Dayton Mall. Apple is planning to take the space Mac Town has been using, so get ready for lines when new products are ready to arrive. I was here because of Peet's Coffee, a fixture in the San Fran Bay Area, expanding to what were Caribou locations. I'm sure many enjoy "The Green" because it's not the typical mall you'd find in Ohio. read more

The Greene is an outdoor multi use complex that is nice enough to remind me of a similar place in West Palm Beach, FL. It is busy at all times of day and any day of the week! There is so much to explore! Retail stores here are all the way from high end department stores to clearance stores such as Nordstrom Rack. I frequently stop at Bath and Body works, Victoria's Secret or Eddie Bauer and love the bookstore. Restaurants here have something for everyone from sit down to fast casual. One of my faves is BD Mongolian Grill. There is a movie theater that includes IMAX and offers a discount on Tuesdays all day. They do special events here during the warmer months (check the website). Parking can be a little annoying, as on street parking is metered and limited. Free parking can be found at either end of the complex in free lots or garages, but requires walking which might not be desirable during the colder/rainy months. During the warm months it is a great place to walk around! Also available are condos if you wish to live in the center of it all! read more

This is by far my favorite mall here in Dayton. Unfortunately, because it's outdoors, it sucks if it's winter or it's raining. And since this is Ohio, that about 60% of the time. Womp womp. But this mall is so pretty, well taken care of and has lots of places I actually care about - Cheesecake Factory, Victoria's Secret, Carter's, a huge book store, a movie theatre, a playground and a performance space for summer concerts (complete with a water fountain/splash pad for the kids to play in). read more

When I met up with the Greene Town Center, I think I found shopping Nirvana! Of course, do note it was also a lovely sunny October day in the 60's, perfect for walking outdoors. So, I parked the car in a huge lot at one end and walked the entire premises blocks wide and blocks long -- a village of shops. And the selection is perfect for my taste -- Life is Good, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor (and Loft), White House/White Market to name only a few. I also dined at Pasha Grille, a Turkish restaurant that is both stylish and flavorful (see that review, as well). Absolutely love, love, love this mall. As I have grown to learn, depending on where you live, good shopping is not to be taken for granted. On a great side note, I also hope I spread some good karma. I helped someone out in the parking lot when returning to my car, me being oh so content as I was. It was a feel-good day all around. read more

Park your car by Von Maur and then walk around to the variety of stores and restaurants, some chain, as well as local stores Books & Company. The center has year round events - holiday music, lights, caroling and carriage rides. Spring & summer brings music on the town square. You can stop by and have a coffee, lunch, nice dinner, dessert or enjoy a beverage at several of the bars, there's something for everyone here at the Greene Town Center. read more

Started my Sunday Funday off with the family today seeing an early movie at The Greene Town Center. I always enjoy my time at The Greene, the space is always incredibly clean and well maintained. The restroom facilities are conveniently located and they are very well kept as well. I see that there are a couple of new things coming to The Greene and I'm excited to see what else will be coming soon. My only thing about The Greene was that there isn't a Starbucks. However on my visit today I saw that they just built a new Starbucks location right across the street. If you check out my review on the Shell Station by The Greene this Starbucks is right across the street and is def on my list to check out ASAP! Back to The Greene.... The Greene is without question the best place to shop and walk around in Dayton. It has a nice design and layout plus it also has a nice selection of stores. On a nice day you can feel like a you're in a small town or even London if you really want to feel like it. I've been have many many times and I've felt happy everytime. I have visited The Greene many times in the past few years, some for specific shopping needs, but some just to get away from town and walk around in the atmosphere that The Greene offers! Not only are the shopping experiences that are offered top-notch and incredibly varied in terms of goods and styles, but you can easily spend an hour just walking around and relaxing! Just a few of my favorite places at The Greene: THe RAVE Cinema is probably my favorite movie theater in a very wide radius. With incredibly comfortable seats (that recline just slightly!), perfect sound quality, and overall very clean premesis, the RAVE is my #1 spot when a film comes out for high quality viewing. I also love the dining options that The Greene offers. From Panera/Chipotle/EO Burger for the casual dining, to Brio/McCormicks for more fine dining, and there are a huge number of places I haven't even tried yet. There is always something to do at The Greene, whether it's shopping, dining, fun with the family, or just getting away for a day! read more

The Greene provides the best combination of shopping, entertainment, and restaurants/bars in the Dayton area. Nicer and more upscale than the Dayton Mall or Fairfield Commons. There's an open courtyard type area right in the center that is used for outdoor concerns, food festivals (Taste of the Greene), and other forms of entertainment. Great for families or date night. Wonderful place to walk around on a clear, beautiful day or evening. On the flip side since it is an outdoor mall it's not so pleasant to jump between stores on rainy days. read more

I think this place is pretty darn cool! Day or night it is a gret place to shop, eat, or just stroll. There are lots of name brand stores (Lids, Ann Taylor, VS, and the list goes on). There are also cute little boutiquey places like Francesca's. Love it!! There is a fabulous selection of restaurants and bars with just about anything you may be in the mood for. They also seem to have live music whenever I go...um...not always the best but nonetheless something to jam to as I support the US economy. Parking is endless. They have those super cool signs that tell you where the open spaces are. There is also "street" parking with "meters". It's a super cute idea (meter money is considered a donation) but slightly deceptive. That's aiiight though. Who isn't down for donating a little something to those that need it? Bottom line...this is a cute little shopping "town" that I will definitely be frequenting. read more

My absolute favorite place to shop in the Dayton Cincy area. Great array of stores and super variety of restaurants. We don't even mind walking around in the winter with the snow, a nice holiday feel! Ample parking and all my favorite stores: Banana Republic, Sephora, Forever 21, Gymboree, Charming Charlies....the list goes on. I'm not a huge fan of malls. But I am a big fan of shopping. So whenever there is a chance to make a mall more enjoyable, I'm all for trying it! As cliché as Easton in Columbus is, I do like it because its more about the outside destination than the shopping for me, and the Greene is the same idea. Its the same shops as you would find in other malls, but in an outside setting. The boy and I came here to go to The Pub and watch World Cup action and then stayed for a couple more hours walking around the grounds and stopping in the shops. There was plenty to do outside and it was nice to stop for a bit at the fountain and sit, relax, and eat a snowcone. There were activities going on for the kids including bouncy castles and slides and a schedule of other Center events were posted on the side of one of the buildings. It looked like they had quite a bit going on and it definitely one of those places that you can go to spend and afternoon without having to buy anything! read more

Beautiful outside mall with shops, entertainment, and restaurants. There is a central courtyard with a fountain and green. Children are often playing in the fountain so it's a great place to come if you have kids! You can't go wrong with a nearby Flemings and a Cheesecake Factory. Stores like Victoria's Secret, GAP, Nordstrom, and Sephora all in an outdoor mall. This outdoor mall is only a few years old and is still expanding. It is kept pretty and clean, and parking is always available within a reasonable difference (except for special events such as the lighting of the christmas tree). As with any such place, there are a mix of business, some of which I visit and enjoy, other I will never return for a second visit. My favorite shops include Pasha's, MacTown, Books & Co., Banana Republic, and a blended fruit smoothie place who's name I cannot remember. read more

This place is lovely and it's a nice place to walk around on a nice sunny day. This was my first time visiting The Greene. I had a blast walking around and looking at the stores they had to offer. I went on a Friday and there was a band playing in the middle area where the fountain is. Kids were splashing and getting wet. Adults were sitting on the side watching their kids and listening to the bands. Some were dancing towards night time. It was a happy and cute sight :)! I enjoy the atmosphere of The Greene. read more
