We went in to get a sore throat checked and cough. The checkin line was extremely long. There were only 2 people working the front desk. We waited about 10 minutes after check in to be called in by the doctor. Doctor came and said everything is fine. Told her about the nasty cough and then she check his lungs again more intently. Tested hi. For strep and sent us home. From check in to exit was total 30 minutes. By the time we got him the result was in and prescription sent to pharmacy. No one called us to discuss the result or that there is a prescription to pickup. Neither the nurse or doctor asked us how we were or greeted us. Quite transactional. Super wired. read more

This specific clinic is absolutely disgusting... I gave it a few more chances as we seemed confident in our doctor but for my newborn sons first few appointments, I expected a lot more especially cleanliness. To start, the nurses aren't very kind. One of them told me to leave my newborn on the table unclothed while we waited over 30 mins to be seen? Like no, I'm sorry I will not just let him lay there cold for that long. When we were taken over to the weight and height section, the machine was completely covered in dirt, and long black hairs. My baby even had a long hair stuck to him. Mind you, we are told to place them there without clothes- so this is completely unacceptable and down right unsanitary. Each time a child is placed there, it should be MANDATORY to sanitize the machine after each use. What is wrong with you people? They are always running behind and the place is a disorganized and didn't have a working machine for my son to get an X ray. They have random machines in the waiting area and overall the place is dirty and confusing. I had to leave while we were waiting 45 plus minutes to be seen by Dr. Peterson and that is very frustrating with a new born. Will not be returning. read more

Cool quick professional new PCP. Th is is my third PcP transfer within less than six months. This was a great more access to labs and different specialist. The referrals went through the same day. Check in was quick and they have 7:30 am which was helpful to my work schedule. Clean and more spacious than the other ARC clinics. read more

This clinic is a nightmare! I was there today for a chronic pain and illnes needed treatment. Unfortunately my PCP has been fully booked and unavailable for weeks. I chose another internist for help. Dr. Poage is by far the worst MD I've ever met. His bedside manner was rude, condescending and arrogant. First off I was made to wait an hour past my appointment time. Which i understand sometimes things happen and patients get backed up. However when I finally get seen by him. His mannerisms were rude, arrogant and unsympathetic. My questions and concerns were not addressed but ignored and unhelpful left without guidance. He spent literally 8 minutes with me. I paid for my bill without having provided proper care and relief. The staff was equally rude and unkind towards complaints or concerns. Worst treatment ever never ever going back that clinic or an ARC clinic. So disheartening. read more

Like most ARC clinics, this one is run very unprofessionally. Communication is especially terrible. They want you to use the portal, which they do respond to but it's almost impossible to get details from them since they respond in sound bites. So naturally the next best option is to call right? Problem is that they don't answer the phone. How does a business not answer the phone? They also like to do lab work more than needed and run additional tests for unknown reasons. Almost every visit to this office is followed with a call to the patient advocacy number to get clarification since the doctors and nurses don't provide the details I request. I recently called to question a doctor's practices, and their response was to recommend another doctor, which tells me there is no accountability for what the doctors do. I'm moving on to Baylor, Scott and White now. read more

Care Quality- Let me start this post by saying that I've worked in the medical field for over 18 years. Dr. Butler has been my mother's doctor for at least 15 years. I've been to her last 2 appointments. I'm convinced he is just a pill mill. This last appointment was a follow up for a self-check in at a mental health facility. Dr. Butler spent exactly 3 or 4 for questions on her mental health, then proceed to write prescriptions. My mother is going through a mental health crisis, and I need help. ARC is a communications nightmare. They clearly are trying to churn as many patients as possible, and the quality of care suffers as a result. I went into the Cedar Park office for the first time and sat in the waiting room for 36 minutes before anyone bothered to tell me that I was in the wrong waiting room. When I finally got in to see the doctor, he asked me a lot of questions that had nothing to do with the reason for my appointment. Turns out the notes he was looking at were either out of date or just incorrect. Bottom line is I wasted almost an hour for a 5 minute follow up. read more

They are awful. Starts with stupid call system, with many prompts. I have to stay on the line for 40 minutes to get a refill. No prompt respond on MyChart. I know you are busy, to answer my call but I'm also busy working. Your care includes providing me refills so, so it promptly! The physician assistant doesn't know how to measure the pressure and could but do a flu shot, she had two attempts! After visit the assistant told me to go home, forgetting my blood work. So I'd leave without my blood work done. The doctors are rushed and don't pay attention to patients. They don't even listen and discuss concerns that you raised with the nurse and she wrote it down. There are an isolated group of doctors that actually want to help their patients here. The problem is due to long waits, you are often forced to see physicians that have availability. My family has consistently run into situations where we get inadequate care from physicians when we need it most, when we are ill. My adult daughter was having significant symptoms and likely had an inhalation injury. The doctor completely ignored The circumstances surrounding her getting ill and lazily ordered a cold and flu test after listening to her lungs for all of seconds. When she tried to ask questions about her treatment plan and symptom management, he rudely told her that she was trying to "doctor." She wanted to know things such as if he felt nebulizer treatments would be helpful or how to best manage her constant, severe cough. This ARC physician apparently felt that that was very arrogant of the patient to ask questions about their own treatment plan and chose to mock her. read more

We had to take my two year old in for a weird rash. This is my first time here and I am pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. Making an appointment was easy and changing it was simple too. The place was clean and comfortable. We were called back within about ten minutes of the appointment. The nurse that met with us was great with both of our kids. Dr. Spencer was fantastic as well. I'd reccomend them and will go back if we have another weekend medical issue. read more

On July 10th I felt very bad ( high fiver 102-103). My wife brought me to Austin regional clinic to show me to the doctor. In general, all nurses and other employees did their job very good. They took flu test, other tests, blood test etc and doctor said - don't worry, it's just VIRUS infection and just do what you have been doing last 3-4 days (high doze of ibuprofen ). We came back home . In the night and next day situation became even worse - body temperature was about (103f) and severe headache . Then we went to Emergency (St. David's North Austin Medical Center) where they diagnosed pneumonia and said that it was NOT Virus but bacterial infection. They also told me that they surprised that previous doctor didn't give me right dosage of ibuprofen in line with my weight. That's explained why I couldn't stop temperate increase for many days. My conclusion after visit of Austin regional clinic cedar park. Pros : good and friendly team, easy to book visit Cons: doctor was not competent enough or attentive enough to make right diagnose . Do not go to this clinic if you are a senior. My physician apparently no longer wants to see me as I am a senior and has referred me to a Geriatrician that is way too, far away from me. Seems like a lot of the negative reviews are for the after hours NOW clinic. This is for the Cedar Park Clinic, not the after hours clinic (which has its own page). That out of the way, I moved to Cedar Park last summer from the DFW area. My old doctor gave me refills to last several months; when I was running low, I finally got off my rear. I'd heard good things about ARC from several friends, and they're in-network for my insurance. The Cedar Park location is closest. I have health issues that are best handled by an internist, so I looked at their doctor list to find one, then compared them to healthgrades. I decided on Dr. Poage - he does internal medicine, he has good ratings on healthgrades, and he's affiliated with the hospital I'm most likely to wind up at if I have an emergency. First visit (new patient visit + refills) went easy. I was surprised by just how big this place is, and impressed that each doctor has their own section of the building. Got vitals taken, Dr. Poage came in and we talked about my conditions and current meds, asked if I was comfortable with them. He wanted to do bloodwork that day, but it was a no-go since (a) I hadn't been fasting and (b) I had to get to work, so we agreed to do blood work next time I needed refills. The next time was yesterday (2/25). Went in for the yearly wellness exam that my insurance wants me to get, along with bloodwork. I was in and out in about an hour (including me showing up about 15 minutes early). I was taken to an exam room right when my appointment was scheduled. The usual yearly exam stuff happened, we discussed my medications and concerns, then he sent me to the lab. It was quick and easy, he's very efficient without rushing you. I didn't know they had an on-site lab. My veins run away and hide for blood draws, I did not expect them to nail one so easily (first try, even!), in a place where nobody can ever nail a vein (I didn't even get a bruise). I did not expect to receive an email at 8:45 am with the lab results, when the blood draw was around 3:30 pm. I especially didn't expect the labwork to already have Dr. Poage's comments attached. Very happy with ARC Cedar Park. Can't say anything about the after hours clinic nearby, but the main clinic is aces in my book. read more

Ask your ins company before doing tele-health visits with ARC. They are trying to make $$ off the Covid. Sad! I have had many billing issues with ARC in the past. Going back a decade or more. After going somewhere else for a while I went back due to insurance changes. And...I am regretting that. I have had so many bills after Covid. I never went to to the dr in person due to Covid and recovered fine with some amoxicillin. Every visit was over the phone(2). Somehow they billed these differently with different prices and did not charge me a copay. Instead I have ridiculous tele health bills lol. Before coming here we had almost free tele-health visits. I have a decent insurance plan. I guess ARC is the only place that bills tele health higher than an in person visit ??Thanks ARC! I can't come in because I have covid. Couldn't work for 2 weeks and now for the first time in a few years I am paying $150.00 to talk to a dr on the phone?! With insurance?! We absolutely love our pediatrician Dr Cheng. I picked him based on the few reviews that mentioned him here on yelp and I was hoping that he will be a great pediatrician as we had an amazing dr for our children back in Califonia who had been their dr since they were babies. Thankfully, those reviews mentioning Dr. Cheng were right. He is great with children. He is very patient with the little one and parents. He takes time to answer every question or concern you might have. He will never brush any of your concerns off rather he offers help and solutions. He is very well prepared for each visit (he knows your chart and remembers history). My boys love Dr. Cheng! We also like ARC convenient after hours which makes it convenient for us never have to go to an urgent cares. Hubby had a little accident where he fractured his shoulder and the care he received here was outstanding! They are really good in following up and making sure you are okay! We went there to try to get squeezed in after our son's preschool called to let us know our son had ingested concrete mix, a whole other story there. I had called Poison Control first to find out what exactly we should do and their response was to watch for symptoms which included burns in the mouth, throat, etc. So, instead of playing the waiting game for my toddler to develop burns I thought it would be a good idea to have a Dr take a look at him even though it wasn't an "emergency situation". I'll start off with the positive: The front desk reception lady who tried to help us was very nice and tried. The negative: The doctors at our pediatrician's office were all booked and shortly going to lunch so she called over to their Urgent Care across the parking lot and got an appointment for right then. My son was being picked up by his dad and was a couple of minutes away (across the street at the stoplight) when I went in to get us checked in at the Urgent Care. The nurse over there said "Oh, I thought he was with you" and I explained he was 2 minutes away. She said she would need to talk to the Dr then and went to the back (11:52 am). Meanwhile, my son arrives in the parking lot, outside the front door, and she returns to say that the Dr has decided to go to lunch (11:54 am) because he goes to lunch at 12 pm every day. I pointed to my son out in the parking lot and said, "He's right there." Two minutes difference and your Dr decides lunch is more important? Really? Bottom line: Lunch is apparently a bigger priority than a 2 yr old's well being at ARC. We'll be switching pediatrician's and avoiding ARC like the plague from now on. Don't go to their urgent care if it is indeed urgent and don't expect the staff at the urgent care to be very helpful around eating time. read more

We've been very happy with the pediatric Doctors, nurses and staff here treating our baby girl. It's a very clean and friendly environment. We switch from Dr. Chang to Dr. Wheeler to better meet our availability for appointment times/dates, but both have been wonderful with our baby girl. I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews but I'm glad we didn't let them scare us away. We've had nothing but good experiences so far with the pediatric side that we're considering switching our primaries over for the adult side. Thank you ARC staff, keep up the great work! read more

We really love our Pediatrician, Dr. Cheng and his team. They all have great bed side manner and we've always enjoyed our visits. The appoints always start on time, if not earlier and we've never felt rushed. The MyChart system is really easy to use to book appointments and review the care summaries. We've also used the nurse after hours hotline to ask a couple of questions regarding our newborn. The facility is really clean and I like that they have the automated check-in system. We also saw Dr. Jackson and Dr. Singh, who were on-call when I delivered at St. Davids, they were really great too! read more

Set an appointment to get a physical so my husband can go back to work 2 weeks ago. ARC called the day of with a very bad attitude like my husband is the one in the wrong saying they need all this information that is impossible to get the day of to continue with his appointment. When I asked why this wasn't brought up previously, lady rudely says I've called 3 times since 7:45am- the day of the appointment! asked why this was not brought up in the previous 2 weeks so we have time to get what was needed for this appointment-Was told 'sorry about that'. Very rude. Gave numerous reasons why he can't see the doctor- Dr. Gaca- from this not being his PCP, even though he has seen her a couple times concerning his issue to he needs to be released by a neurologist and heart doctor which they have record of saying there is no issue with any of that from last year. Been bringing kids to ARC for long time now. I like this location in cedar park simply due to close proximity to my home and it's never crowded. We are in and out in a jiffy. Saves us time. On this visit I took my oldest one to see dr nick. He was very thorough with his explanation of the condition and took time to explain. I would like to be able to give a higher rating as the friendliness of the staff is good as is the ability to make appointments. However, the wait time to see the doctors is rather excessive 30 minutes+. I wouldn't mind that so much if I felt that they were not rushing through my appointments. I leave with questions that have not been answered. I have waited over 45 minutes to see my PCP only to spend less than 10 minutes with her. I have been sick for over a month now and have been seen by 4 ARC physicians. When I call to speak to a nurse I'm usually on hold for 10+ minutes only to be told someone will have to get back with me. The staff and physicians are great, I just don't think there are enough of them to serve the volume of patients effectively. read more

Never have thought to leave a yelp review for a dr office, but we had that good of an experience. I called this am to get my daughter in. Sore throat, fever, fatigue. All pointed to strep. Called at 9:00 and got in at 9:45am to see Dr. Charity Jackson, a pediatrician. Kiddo was terrified of having the Q-Tip thing rammed down her throat like she has in the past. We used a kiosk to check in. Was called back in less than 5 minutes. The new building is clean, large, very nice. The dr was very sweet and spoke directly to my 10 year old daughter, which helped ease her mind. Calmed her down and made the strep test as pleasant as possible. Called 10 minutes after we had left, to confirm it was strep. Overall, it was a breeze. read more
