Recently I went back to LaYa. in Joliet and was told I had a balance of well over $200. I was not paying that amount and went on my way to my regular tanning place Unlimited Tan. Shortly after my visit to La Tan I received an email stating I was "missed," and the balance would be waived. I continued to receive emails from La Tan one which was customer appreciation on April 24 and ,25, 2026. Perfect opportunity to try out La Tan once again. I arrived and was once again told I had a balance. It appears in order for my balance to be waived, I needed to use a COUPON which had expired 3/31/2026. I guess I was not really missed.

Even after I politely said "no" multiple times, the sales pitch continued. Every reason I gave for not wanting to purchase anything seemed to be met with another reason why I should, instead of simply respecting my decision. What made me especially uncomfortable was that even when my body was already out the door, the sales pitch still didn't stop. At that point, I just wanted to leave, but I felt like my "no" wasn't being respected. I understand that retail businesses encourage product sales, and I don't mind being offered products. However, there is a big difference between making recommendations and making customers feel pressured. A simple "no, thank you" should be enough. Unfortunately, the aggressive sales approach left me with a negative impression and made me not want to return. But...... I wanted to give a shoutout to Kiley for providing such a great customer experience! She really was the saving grace! She was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable without ever making me feel pressured. She took the time to answer my questions, offered recommendations based on what I was looking for, and respected my decisions without pushing additional products. I will only be doing business with her from now on. It's refreshing to interact with someone who genuinely makes you feel comfortable and valued as a customer and not just a dollar sign. Kiley's professionalism and positive attitude made my visit enjoyable, and she's a big reason I'd come back. Thank you for making the experience so pleasant!

The staff at Mokena are the most rude (one in particular) I've ever met. They won't give a refund, even if the people behind the counter mistreat you. I will be telling every single person I know to never go here ever they steal your money they give you faulty products and they treat you like absolute crap. Wow, just wow is all I have to say about this horrible horrible entity. my husband is 64 years old and they refused to let them tan because the information in their system was faulty and we had paid for a full month of tanning and we were only halfway through the month.
