I always go to those affordable Greek places but this time I tried this Greek restaurant with course menu for first time. The first impression was super good. We ordered the Summerlicious menu and honestly every food was tasty, but the main--this sole fish dish?--soooo good, I can't believe. Desserts were also nice, like some homemade cake, looked simple but right amount of sweetness to enjoy! (Not too sweet) Even appetizer, don't need to say, it's already so delicious. And the 3 different dips came with bread... those dips just stuck in my mind, so good. The restaurant vibe was amazing, it feels like I'm chilling at some fancy bar next to the ocean in Europe, all bright and so chill, like holiday mood, you know? Also server was super friendly, like we didn't really know the greek foods but she explain everything so nicely. Service was just perfect. After this place I think I wanna try more Greek restaurants next time!

Came here on a Saturday night for my dad's birthday. We were a party of five and had made reservations. We were greeted warmly at the door, and when we asked to switch tables from a busy aisle, our server was very accommodating. We started with a generous serving of pita and bread for the table, then ordered a variety of dishes to share family-style. Everything was delicious--highlights included the fried calamari, kontosouvli (rotisserie pork), Greek salad, rice, dolmades, chicken souvlaki, and saganaki (flaming cheese). The octopus was the only miss for us--it was a bit rubbery and overly charred. For dessert, we ordered the Greek yogurt cheesecake, which was rich and delicious. Our server added a candle and joined in singing happy birthday, which made the evening feel even more special. The atmosphere was lively with great live music, and the restaurant itself was clean with beautiful décor. This place is a gem--I can't wait to visit again!

This is an amazing Greek restaurant uptown without the hassle of going downtown & having to pay for parking just to dine in. This restaurant is located in Scarborough next to Kennedy Commons. It is spacious and it felt homey. I came here for a work (late) lunch. Our reservations were for 2:30 p.m. and even though it was pretty late in the day, there were still quite a few other diners there. We were greeted and served by this older lady. She was excellent in her order taking & was pleasant throughout our time there. One of my colleagues took another colleague's meal by accident & she fixed the issue right away. For appetizers, we shared the garlic shrimp, saganaki, fried calamari, and grilled octopus. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. My favs were the fried calamari and saganaki. For my main entrée, I had the Kontosoulvi plate which consists of marinated spit-roasted pork shoulder and comes with two sides (potatoes and a Greek salad - there was an up charge for the Greek salad however it was a large portion). The pork shoulder was tender and melt in the mouth good. The potatoes were tomato based and not the usual lemon but was still yummy with the right texture being soft & creamy on the inside. For my dessert, I had the traditional Greek citrus cake with a hint of vanilla topped with slivered almonds and sweetened with a simple syrup. It was okay and was a little to sweet for my liking. I also had a fruit daiquiri of some kind. I forget what flavor but it was non-alcoholic and very good. I would definitely recommend this place to others & would be happy to go back for another fulfilling and satisfying meal :)

We tried this place for winterlicious. I have the day quite a bit has changed since last year. The ambiance was the same. Dim lit for dinner, the restaurant is very spacious. The staff are fairly consistent since the last few times we weee here, and the owner made a few rounds to greet the guest, which I think is a nice touch. The position sizes were much smaller than they used to be. And the veggies on all our plates were very much over done. Last year we had a delicious piece of salmon, this year they didn't have that on the menu, but I believe had sole, which wasn't as flavourful. The dessert, this place makes the honest to god best baklava ever! The other desserts were meh. But I would go back again to just order this home made, cooked to perfection, absolutely delicious baklava!

We ordered a bunch of dishes to share: the calamari, grilled octopus, saganaki, beef souvlaki, lamb souvlaki, moussaka, sea bream, lamb fournou, seafood medley with orzo, cool dips and baklava! Pros: - We loved the taramosalata dip (made from fish roe!) from the assortment of cool dips so much that we got a tub to go at the end of our meal (in case you are wondering, it's $7 for a serving the size of a typical hummus container) - Their tomato-y dishes were a hit! For example, the seafood medley orzo and the side of potatoes that accompanied two of the dishes were super flavourful! - The moussaka is also a must-order! Such rich flavours! - The space is huge and the atmosphere is nice with the seafood display when you first walk in and the various decor once seated Cons: - The texture of the octopus indicated that it was not fresh - There was no exclamation or warning for the lighting of the saganaki (flaming cheese) which made this usual fun Greek restaurant experience anti-climatic - The beef souvlaki was extremely chewy - The baklava was not flaky or light

Great food and comfortable seating without the hassle of going to the "Danforth". Portions are decent and the taste is quite good! Only qualm during my last three visits is the service is so-so. They are good when they are around but during our multiple visits there are long stretches of missing servers and we have to hunt them down to get water, condiments, dessert etc etc.

Beautiful indoor decor to mimic dining in Greece, dressy and perfect for a date night or family gathering! 1pm on a Sunday had lots of empty tables still. Looks like this is where the locals go. Service was excellent! Summerlicious menu is a good bundle meal, ban for your buck versus ordering the items separately on the regular menu. Chicken souvlaki and rice was flavourful and classic, fries crispy and not oily, the only thing was the dolmades was quite salty and the dessert was very sweet too. We left extremely full and still with a large doggie bag!

We recently celebrated a birthday here and had a lovely time. The venue is so big and spacious that you do not feel crowded even as outdoor dining picks up again. There is a large patio, so you even get the choice of outdoor or indoor dining. It is a great space to host a party, as they can section large areas off tables easily. Lovely service and attentive friendly staff. The food is great! We ordered the Octapodi Skaras and Maria's Dolmades for the table to start. The octopus was amazing, sooooo succulent and well charred with a hint of lemon. The pairing of smoky charcoal flavor and bright citrus is always a win for me. The dolmades were good also, but I really liked the avgolemono sauce it came swimming in. Ended up dunking a couple pieces of toasty garlic bread in it. I had the Lamb arnaki fournou as my main. The slow roasted lamb shank fell off the bone with a gentle prod of my fork. The herb tomato sauce had the deep delicious flavors that could only come from slow cooking. I liked that I could choose my own sides as I preferred having it with the Fasolakia (green beans) and Horta (wild greens). Generous portions also! I could only finish half after the appetizers. All the better to have as leftovers the next day. I snuck a couple bites from around the table and I would also recommend the Kontosouvli for the meat lovers. Very well made also.

Service is friendly and courteous. Ambiance is beautiful except we were a group of four and seated in a dimly lit area in the restaurant. Food is ok (see pics for review of each) but nothing special. Had a good time here but would not go again. Top recommendation for this restaurant: - lamb arnaki fournou - saganaki - dip sampler - be adventurous, try whichever!

I've been craving Greek food for ages! Momma Chris' birthday was a great excuse to try this place, as we were passing through Toronto, and this place is easy access from the 401. Mr Greek offers a lunch menu, and all three of us got souvlaki- 2 pork and 1 chicken; you get Greek salad and your choice of side, either rice or potatoes - $15.00. Service was attentive and reasonably quick - even to refill our water glasses. I also had a latte after the meal. The meal was good - very filling, and the chicken was tender. The latte was only ok (have I become a coffee snob?) The place is huge; I was surprised it wasn't busier, but we got there at 1:00 on a Friday. Maybe it's busier at other times? If I lived closer, I would certainly become a regular here!

I've been coming to this place since it was a Mr. Greek in another part of Kennedy Commons. The food and service were always pretty good. Floga really upgraded the decor of the place. The food itself is still as reliable as it used to be -- my parents and my friends all love their fried calamari. Generous portion and good tzatziki. Saganaki isn't something I always get, but the first time I did have it was because of their tableside flambé and accompanying "opa!" It's particularly good with the garlic bread that they serve with the meal. At its best, Floga's pork souvlaki is really juicy. My most recent it wasn't quite as juicy as usual but still pretty good. Hope they can keep up their food quality to their standard at their original location.

    Fried Kalamari

This place was a life saver as my friends were scrambling a bit trying to find a place to have a KK Party. The staff were very accommodating with our party that included kids. Kalamari - We opted for the fried version and theirs was one of the best ones I've had at a Greek restaurant. Lightly breaded and perfectly fried, with the perfect texture. I'd recommend this to anyone. 5/5 Kokkinisto - This was so delicious! If you like stews, then this dish is for you. The beef was so tender that it basically just melted in your mouth. You can tell that this has been braising for hours. The orzo was gooey with the cheese which made the meal quite rich overall but in the best way. 5/5 Spicy Feta Dip - Didn't get a chance to take a picture of the dips as I was starving and wanted to just stuff my face. But this dip was delicious! Had quite a kick but wasn't so overpowering that you lose the flavour. Goes great with the warm pillow and even better with the garlic bread. Definitely a must-try if you want something to peck on while your main comes.

The decor here is beautiful, bright and inviting. The servers are super friendly and the food is delicious especially the grilled octopus. Cocktails are inexpensive compared to other restaurants I frequent. There is quite a wide selection of cocktails to choose from.

It was my first time being here and I was impressed with the venue and the service. The name, Parkview Manor, suggests something exotic or traditional, maybe like an old mansion. Instead, it was a rather plain looking grey building with a large parking lot, in the middle of an industrial area. It was clean and in good repair but really had no character to it. Stepping inside, however, told a different story altogether. The reception/bar area was a bit small and cramped, making it a little hard for all the guests to move around comfortably. The passed hors d'oeuvres were plentiful, with a decent variety but tasted a bit ordinary. The main banquet room, with the head table, dining tables, and dance floor, was very spacious and beautifully decorated, with intimate lighting. Our meal was very good, maybe even excellent! We started with soup and salad, both served tableside. The main course had a properly cooked piece of salmon, a very tender steak, potatoes, and veggies. Dessert was chocolate mousse tart and creme brulee, served alternately. Other than the dessert being a tad sweet for my taste, the food quality was good. Kudos to our server, who was very friendly, engaging, and efficient! Having worked at one of the top banquet facilities in the GTA for ten years, the food and service here was top notch! If they had an area, indoor or outdoor, for photos, it would be perfect! The wedding, overall, was fantastic! Congratulations, Melissa and Brian!

But then I…read morethought about everything else, the antipasto, the dessert, the food stations, the service, and the insider info from my friend about how great the coordinator is. So I'm thinking...meh, why bring down a decent venue over some overcooked steak? Parkview Manor, like every other banquet hall, has a fairly boring exterior, but the inside is clean and well-presented with your typical banquet hall decor and chandeliers. TONS of parking, which is an advantage of being in a bland commercial area. The building is split into two areas so it's highly possible there are multiple events happening at the same time. Food, of course, is the number 1 priority as a wedding guest. As stated up front, the entree was bad. Really bad. The filet mignon was tough like leftover meat from boiled stew. The chicken, already expected to be underwhelming at a banquet hall, was especially bland. I suppose that's the risk of a 2-meat plate. But everything else made up for it, I think. The antipasto was plentiful and delicious, especially the smoked salmon and the giant parmesan cheese wheel. The dessert was a wonderful creme brulee. The oysters at the oyster bar were fresh and shucked before your eyes. Even the sweets table had some tasty cakes. Servers were quick and unnoticeable, which is a mark of a good banquet hall server. You don't want plates clanging against each other during a speech. The bottom line is I had a wonderful time here as a guest; food, service, and coordination being a huge part of that. So I can live with a little chewy beef. If you are planning a wedding at a banquet hall, I wouldn't pass on this. I hear the guy that coordinates the venue is fantastic. (50/100) - 2018

DO NOT BOOK THIS BANQUET HALL - Horrible Experience from Start to Finish…read more Our experience with this banquet hall was a complete disaster, and I would never recommend it to anyone, especially not for an important event like a wedding. Let's start with the bridal room -- or what they claim is a bridal room. When I asked Jeet to direct me to it, he told a staff member in Hindi to "clean it before taking her." I was then led down to the end of a dirty basement hallway and shown a few tiny, stuffy rooms with no AC and one barely working fan. It was one of the most disgusting spaces I've ever seen -- completely inappropriate for any bride. Next, the decor situation was a mess. We had hired a third-party vendor to decorate, but Jeet failed to remove decorations from a previous event. Our team had to work around their leftover decor, which made setup extremely cramped and chaotic. As guests began arriving, the carpets were still dirty. I had to ask the manager 3-4 times to get someone to vacuum, and by the time they did, it was already too late -- guests were walking in as a worker was vacuuming the floor. Jeet actually told us to keep the guests outside while they finished cleaning. Unbelievable. We were also charged extra -- a few hundred dollars -- for microphone and speaker use because we had organized speeches. However, the sound system didn't work at all. When we notified Jeet, he brushed it off saying they were "working on it" and asked us to wait. Obviously, we couldn't delay the entire event while they took their time trying to fix it. As for the food, we were told we'd receive authentic Afghan food from their partner, Riaz Catering. What we got was anything but Afghan cuisine. The food was bland and disappointing -- most of our guests didn't even eat. Later we realized that another Indian party downstairs had been served the exact same food, falsely labeled as Afghan. On top of that, they just left the food out all night without properly storing or managing it. To make matters worse, the temperature inside the hall kept rising throughout the night. While the AC was working in the beginning, it was clear they were turning it down (or off) to cut costs, making the atmosphere uncomfortable for all our guests. In summary: 0/10. Jeet and the entire management team were completely unprofessional and disorganized. From the venue conditions to the service and food -- everything was below acceptable standards. Do not waste your time, money, or peace of mind booking this hall. You will be disappointed and frustrated, just like we were.
