From the very first interactions via email, I was impressed by how promptly and clearly Andy communicated. He came to my house on time and showed a depth of knowledge I had not found with other contractors. He also explained in detail what he could do and why each step was important. Then he executed on time and according to plan. The resulting patches match the historic edifice perfectly. They integrate with the existing stucco seamlessly, and this is a huge relief. We had gone quite a few rounds with the other contractor but the wall just didn't meet our quality standards. Andy was super responsive, professional, and very friendly. He was confident that he could match the stucco with no problem. He came over a few days later, shaved down the old stucco, revised the work with new stucco within an hour. It matched perfectly! Extremely difficult to schedule an estimate…read more I called in late March and was told to wait for the owner/estimator to call back for an appointment several weeks later in mid to late April. No one ever contacted me. I called twice again in late April. First time no one picked up the phone or responded to my voicemail. Three days later I called again and the receptionist would not connect me directly to the estimator so several phone calls were exchanged. In the end, only 1 appointment time was offered to me 9:30am and I asked to move it earlier to 9am since there were no appointments before me and I needed to attend a 10am work meeting. I was told nope. I gave up because it's hard to work with inflexible unresponsive people.

He was also very flexible and accommodating with our other trades and was able to work around our roofers, framers, etc. with no issues. He and his crew are pros and are very talented stucco tradesmen. I had some work done by another company a few years ago and the quality was disappointing. Memo was able to re-coat the previous work and make it look 100% better. He and his crew also did new stucco on a large 2 story addition we built on our house. It all looks extremely good. The corners are straight and crisp. The control joints are straight and level. The color and material consistency is also great. I highly recommend Memo for any stucco work.

Seamus learned his craft from his dad back in Ireland. And he knows what he's doing…read more My 100-year old bungalow in Oakland had serious issues. Roof leaking, windows leaking, wood rot, termite damage. What a mess. Seamus has the skills (and in the case of the roof, the associates) to fix all of these problems. His team chiseled out all of the aged stucco and added new chicken wire, flashing and weep screeds. He removed all the rotten wood and essentially rebuilt the front corner of my house, including a decorative wall that was so leaky that its bones had completely rotted away. Then his team re-applied base stucco and let it cure properly before mixing a beautifully colored finishing coat that was perfectly textured. The house looks amazing now. I had been putting my head in the sand for years, ignoring all the growing cracks in the stucco and knowing that water was soaking the bones of my house. I have peace of mind now. Also, as people note below, Seamus is responsive and a good communicator. So important in a contractor. Thanks Seamus.

I prefer to keep the materials the closest the what was originally used for our home. Seamus was able to just that. He used wooden lath and plaster that blended right in to the rest of the wall.
