Rice and a good Panang Curry

Still my favorite Thai place in PHX! I have tried numerous places in phoenix and this place has so much more flavor than the others. 10/10 recommend.

    Pad Thai

Canned Soda!!! Who does that anymore? Ordered Pad Thai.... Was expecting wider noodles in the Pad Thai. It's like they use angel hair pasta. Pad Thai is usually traditionally with a wider noodle. Had a good taste though.no crushed peanut either It's just mediocre

Not the greatest Thai food, but was all right. I think the best thing I had was their special drink. Also, when eating here it was under construction, so the ambience wasn't really that pleasant, it just felt overall weird to be there.

    Egg Rolls
    Clare R.

Food was SUPER yummy! I got it as takeout tho , so by the time I got home the skin on the orange chicken was soggy and the egg rolls weren't crispy. However - I was impressed by the flavor and think it would be even more delish if you went to eat in the restaurant.

Steamed Chicken Dumplings Not a big fan. Not much flavor
    Surbhi A.

It's definitely a hole in the wall kind of vibe. I liked the curry. The rice was a bit mushy. Pad Thai ok. Dumplings lacked flavor so wouldn't recommend. I'd come back for the curry.

    Pad Se-Ew

We love Authentic Thai Kitchen! This was my first time eating from here, my boyfriend has been coming in for years. I had the pad see-ew with tofu and my bf had the chicken fried rice. Everything was cooked perfectly and very flavorful! Although we got takeout, the restaurant's ambience was very clean bright! The employees were very kind and welcoming as well. Thank you guys for the consistent great service and food!

    Egg Rolls

To start I got the chicken egg rolls. The most memorable thing about them was that the sauce was clear. I've never seen that before. If that's how it's supposed to be than someone please let me know. As for the flavor, I thought it was ok, but could have benefited from a better sauce with a much deeper flavor. My entree was the Penang curry. I'm admittedly not an expert on Thai food, so I picked this one because it had a lot of the veggies I wanted and said that it added peanut butter. It was delicious. However, my main problem, and the reason why gave it 3 stars, is that it was SO MUCH peanut butter that I couldn't taste much else. I mean who doesn't like peanut butter? It's hard to tell someone why I didn't like peanut butter overload. If not for that, then I feel like the flavor really needed to be dialed in more in order to make this something I would come back for. One more point that I should probably make: I thought the spice level was perfect, but my midwestern girlfriend couldn't handle it, so you should probably specify what spice level you need when you're ordering

    Pad Se-Ew with Tofu

The food was okay. I ordered a Pad See-Ew with a 3 spice level. It was way spicier than I expected. Usually at Thai Basil, a 3 is not very spicy at all. When we first went in, we were the only ones in the restaurant which made me a little worried. The Thai tea was pretty good!

    Burnt Egg Rolls
    Audra H.

On a quick trip to Phoenix I ordered some to/go on 12/12/2022. Sadly, it missed the mark. The egg rolls were burned. Although crunchy, the sauce was not too flavorful and the burnt could be tasted. Rating of dish, 1. The pad-see ew was okay. Not too flavorful. The chicken was cooked well and quite tender. Sadly, Quite bland taste. Rating of dish, 2. The pad Thai was cooked well somewhat sweet but not up to par with the flavor standards I'm used to when getting this dish. Rating: 2. I'd try a different place if I came back to Phoenix.

    Pad Thai with chicken

Have had this place a couple times and I always come back for their pad Thai. It's delicious! The basil fried rice is also delicious!

Upon my approach, the exterior was so beautifully curated that I initially mistook it for an exclusive, private small garden. I stopped at Glai Baan and ventured inside, finding the dining room wonderfully bustling with a lively, fashionable crowd a thoroughly excellent sign. The venue offers the most delightful arrangements; one may choose to dine within the main room or enjoy a seat adjacent to the exquisite flower beds and lush, cool greenery. There is also a beautifully structured small bar. The entire aesthetic is nothing short of exceptional, and I found myself quite enamored with the decor. I escorted myself to an excellent table facing the bar and requested a traditional Thai Iced Tea to begin. The bartender was an absolute credit to the establishment immensely warm, professional, and genuinely friendly. The hospitality here is truly remarkable; the staff handles their patrons with the gracious care of family, which I found immensely pleasing. For my dinner entrée, I selected the Kanom Jeeb, which bears a marvelous resemblance to the finest dim sum found in elite Chinese establishments. The kitchen executed the order with commendable timing, and upon its elegant presentation, my evening meal was rendered entirely complete. The seamless blend of sophisticated flavor, beautiful botany, and refined hospitality was an absolute treat. I shall most certainly be returning to this charming sanctuary in the near future

I asked for a chef tasting of non-spicy options (the Arai Kodai. Mine came to $67 as I wanted extra tastings). Isaiah asked my preferences then went to town! His dance moves while he entered my order were a great touch! The aroma inside is exquisite! Everything around me looked so fresh! I loved seeing all the food around me. I see why everyone loves the green mango salad (yam mamuang boran). Delicious! So flavorful! Just know not to expect lettuce. The fried chicken was tasty but I wished I had asked for not fried options. That's on me. It was certainly good. Very crispy and flavorful. Next time I would just prefer something more unique than wings. The bok choy with garlic (pad pak twang toong) is so good! Very light and tasty. I asked for a side of white rice to enjoy it with. I ended with Naem Khao Tawt. It was again flavorful and zesty. I would have avoided more crispy and pork with this one but again that's on me. It was still tasty. Next time I would ask for more grilled options and something with beef and noodles. The scallops and buffalo tartare sounded fantastic! Would definitely want those in the future! They were out of buffalo tonight. The dueling brule dessert was so good? I'm particular the purple one! So tart! Really wonderful experience and made new friends while here. Parking is a bit of a nuisance, but after 15 minutes I got lucky and snagged a street spot close by out front. Otherwise, it's either street parking, meter parking or nearby garages. Will definitely be back to try more dishes.

The pork was so overcooked and dry it caused me to find the restroom to spit it out. There's nothing wrong noodles tastes a bit like burnt marshmallows (or I'm having a stroke) All in all a good restaurant with 1 of 5 dishes disappointing. As a proud Yelp Elite, I decided to give this place a chance because the reviews were the best I saw in the city! The place was busy on a Sunday night and it is small but I never say customers waiting too long. There were two larger parties seated so the food took some time but nothing outrageous. We started with the calamari, spring rolls, and crab wontons. The calamari were the biggest I've ever seen and very delicious! Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the spring rolls or crab wontons. I feel like those are hard to get wrong but I was not a fan of the cream cheese that was used and it was a lot of it, barely any imitation crab. For entrees, I had the spicy basil and substituted ground chicken for chicken breast, my personal preference. I ordered level 2 spice but it was still a bit spicy for me. Trying a new Thai place is always hit or miss with spice levels so I actually thought I was being safe with 2. Additionally, the chicken was so bland. Some Thai places season their chicken, some do not and unfortunately Pad Thai Cafe missed that mark. My partner ordered the short rib curry dish and my goodness, it smelled like heaven and tasted just as good. I don't eat beef but had to taste it and it was divine! He also ordered spice level 2 and his dish was not as spicy as mine. Overall, the rest of the party enjoyed their food and there were good flavors there so I'd definitely recommend the entrees, not so much the starters.
