Long story short , I had a collision with my truck and after the collision repair shop was done and after a month and 4 visits could not find why my ac would loose a charge. I had no AC and the compressor would not engage. Unsure if it was because of bad compressor or lack of Freon, they charged up the Freon and my AC was back to proper working order. They sent me on my way and told me to bring it back in 48 hours to see if it was leaking. This was just with a handshake. For real? No name or financial information. Steve and his guys are just the best!! I've been getting our car a/c's repaired here for over 20 years. Steve is possibly the most honest, reliable and competent mechanic I've ever used for repairs. We've had 4-5 compressors, relays, fan motors you name it. Basically anything a/c related he has repaired it for us. He's always on time and as promised and for less money than anyone else. I most recently I called Steve on a Tuesday because my a/c compressor died in my SUV and I made arrangements to bring it in to repair it the following Monday. Two days later my alternator dies. What are the odds right. I asked Steve if there was any chance he was able to replace an alternator while he was in there. His response was this: "yes I can do that as a matter of fact I will have to move the alternator to get to your compressor anyway. Therefore I won't even charge you any labor for installing the alternator". That's the truth. And on top of it when I came in to pay the bill he literally only charged me the cost of the alternator. I mean seriously could you even be any cooler? I would say Steve easily saved me $600 this time between the already great price he quoted me for the a/c repair plus the alternator at cost and no labor. I called Auto Air Pro today May 27th, 2020 and Art said bring it in Saturday morning and he would fix it on the spot. MUST GO!!! AUTO AIR PRO NOW OPENS SATURDAYS ALSO! I have Chrysler 200 (2016) at 60km, which requires R1234yf. Initially I went to 4 different auto repair shops, and they all advised that, no one can recharge R1234f except for Chrysler dealer, so I went to Lake Elsinore dealer, that they would charge $135 for just the diagnostic and if its recharge only then it will be additional $400 and if it's something else, then we will let you know upon diagnostic. Out of frustration I was ready to get it to fix it, the service consultant said, we are already 2 days behind so you would need to leave your car but they provide no courtesy vehicle, so was big "NO" for me as I needed the car for work to Newport Beach. That same evening on 4/18/19, I just Google AC Repair in Lake Elsinore and "Auto Air Pro" name came on the top with 5-star reviews. I called and left a few messages for the owner "Steve" at the number provided but no answer, so I finally emailed him. Next day I got his reply that he does service R1234yf; I was so happy but got disappointed to read on his website that they are closed on Sat/Sun. I wrote him back if he could see the car on Sat, and he replied "Yes" at 8 am. Despite Sat my being the only day to take rest from a 5-day long commute, I was excited to go to him, and I was at his place in Menifee, sharp at 8 am. Without wasting any single min, he got on to my car right away which still took almost 3 hours. Not only Freon was low, but rabbits had chewed up the lower protective shield which allowed them to enter to the engine area and chewed up the wires, connecting to AC, etc. He rewired the whole thing, fixed the protective shield hole and revamped the AC working as if I was in Alaska. Now the biggest worry was, OMG, how much will be the damage in terms of $$$, I estimated that had I have gone all this done through a dealer, it will be easily over $1000. Yes, $1000. So I thought if he even charges me $500, for all what he has fixed, it's worth it and I will ask him to give me $50 first time credit as per his web so for $450, it's not bad at all. Plus the savings of getting the work did same day, and no to pay for a rental car through a dealer, etc. Now, any min, it was a time of the verdict, so I asked him, how much total, and when he said $272, I just did not believe what my ears were hearing. Right at that moment, I asked myself, Sean, do you still want to ask for $50 first time credit....and my conscious did not allow me to take advantage of "Steve" and let me tell you WHY? Because, besides Steve work ethics and knowledge, particularly for specializing in AUTO AC only, for the whole 3 hours, I never felt for 1 second, that if I am at the Auto Repair shop. We were talking if we were friends, he even shared some of his personal family stuff and so did I because I felt personal. I am not Steve relative to boast about him, but listening to him, I concluded, that he is a very humble and compassionate person and above all very honest. So YOU, all out there who have a problem with your car AC (Cooling/heating), irrespective of any Make and Model, must go to him, and yes, one last thing, NOW HE IS OPEN SATURDAYS ALSO at 8 am, and best to text him, rather than trying calling or emailing him. A year ago I took my SUV here after I paid $30 at a different mechanic in Menifee who said it would cost me $1,000 to fix my A/C. I didn't have $1,000 and felt I might be getting taken advantage of. So I came here to get a 2nd opinion and they advertise FREE ESTIMATES. I did not mention that I was told I needed a new compressor. I just went in and said my A/C stopped working. Steve Chagolla started diagnostic tests on my car and first thing he said to me was "Your compressor is working fine". He continued to do tests and then spotted a loose wire. He fixed the wire and had me start my car. A/C FIXED!!! He charged me $50 to fix the wire! I am so thankful for his honesty and integrity. I am a young woman who knows nothing about auto mechanics but they did not take advantage of me. If you need A/C work, PLEASE go here first. I am so happy I got a 2nd opinion. And I was furious about the first mechanic trying to rip me off, so I went back and demanded my $30 back for the incorrect diagnosis. After driving around with no A/C for a while, I figured the compressor would be toast -- either oil gone or moisture in the system. Found these guys; they tested the system and found that the expansion valve needed to be changed. They warned me that the compressor might be bad (which I already expected), but it turned out to be fine. Imagine that -- a place that tells you that you don't need an expensive part. The tech explained everything he was doing -- no smoke and mirrors with these guys. A supplier tried to overcharge on the valve, but Steve caught it and was able to get the valve from another place. Work done quickly, done right and for far less than I thought I would have to pay. I only wish these guys did complete auto maintenance -- I wouldn't have to go anywhere else. read more

Excellent service. Steve diagnosed what was wrong with my compressor and didn't automatically require me to replace the entire compressor. He asked me to leave my car the entire next day and when I said I couldn't because of work, he told me to come back later and he'd fit me in. His mechanic fixed it in under 3 hours when I returned. However Steve went to complete the work, he wasn't happy with how it ran. Steve went back and opened the underskirt to adjust the ground wire to his satisfaction before he'd let me leave.
