This shop is one the most personable and professional shops I've been too lately. I returned with my X5 to see why my car was leaking after I got an oil change a couple weeks ago, and they quickly looked at it. Raul is always so friendly. He welcomes you by name and even offered me his creamer out of the back while I made a cup of hot coffee from the mini coffee bar. I rated 4 stars instead of 5 because I had to return because of an oil leak that wasn't there prior to me getting an oil change, which Auto Check completed for me; however their services are warranted. They tell you one thing on the phone and don't honor their word. The owner had the nerve to tell me don't come back to his facility because I stood my ground. The service person said the diagnostics charge of $99.99 would be waived if they do the repairs. They didn't even state to me how much the diagnostic would cost... found out by looking at the bill. On top of that they didn't tell me that my oil cooler seals to filter housing was leaking... which is under warranty with them. I had to read the bill to find that out.... they only mention changing all 6 coils and spark plugs because that where it would cost the most. I looked at my receipt before leaving after I charged the repair on my credit card. I ask to credit and honor, but they wanted to argue with me on why I should pay for it, I told them, they won't get paid, because I will dispute charges with my credit card. The owner was so pissed at me, he finally gave me $100 cash and told me not to bring my car back. In return I told him that I will be bring it back if anything go wrong with my car from previous repairs. The owner really showed his other side. I've never been charged a diagnostic charge from BMW or Auto Check as long as they did the repairs. Why is it they try to play a woman. They don't have to worry about me, unless it a warranty issue. When the dealership down the street didn't want to deal with our extended warranty and expected us to pay up front for them the try to figure out the problem, auto check one said no problem. I took my Volvo here as I was having wind shield wiper problems. After they diagnosed the issue they had to get me a new CEM. When I took it back they gave me a ride home. There was issues with the programming but they didn't give in, when I got my car back it was fixed, washed and vacuumed out. These guys are very knowledgeable and nice. I highly recommend taking your car here if your looking for a trustworthy auto repair. I ran into several customers that had been going there for up to 20 years. I LOVE Auto Check...they get me in and out as quickly as possible or just as soon as they can if they have to order parts. Their prices are reasonable & they told me they even do warranty checks, which is a blessing since going to the dealer is painfully long and expensive. 1st time going. Went to get my brake and power steering systems flushed. Female employee who helped me was hot. She had beau...oh wait I'm here to review the business. They did excellent work and fast as well. Exceptionally reasonable prices and something that surprised me is that they also offer to take you back to work or home while your vehicles there. I declined because I had already taken off from work and they only said it would take about 1.5hrs. While I waited I watched Netflix and checked e-mail on my laptop. Let me start off by saying I am picky about the care of my vehicles. Wait, picky doesn't cover it - I am obsessed with the care of my vehicles. I like them clean, in good working condition and the maintenance should be done always. I have been to 3 mechanics since I purchased my used 2001 truck and each one of them did something wrong - either they left filth on my steering wheel OR they didn't explain things properly or quite frankly it was in worse shape than I came in with. I know a lot about cars and how to work on them but I choose not to. Regardless - I went into Auto Check One because of the reviews on Yelp. Went in there to have them flush my brake system and I ended up having them fix a transmission fluid leak. I made a same day appointment, showed up at 9 AM and I was out of there within 2 1/2 hours - that's after having multiple other things done that weren't part of my original appointment. My truck was clean, the radio was in the same spot I left it and - the truck is in better shape than when I went in there. Everyone was extremely helpful, friendly and courteous. I cannot explain enough how nice it is to have a mechanic treat you with respect and not having you feel like you need a shower after going there. I spoke to every customer in there and they ALL said they were repeat customers. The employees even called those customers by their names (Imagine that - doesn't happen very often). I can't speak much about the cost because it seems almost all mechanics charge the same but make sure you get their yelp coupon. I can tell you this with certainty - I have finally found a mechanic I can go to on a regular basis. Lastly - the waiting room is beautiful and inviting. Cannot ask for a better place!!! read more

It was that time where I had to get my yearly state car inspection and was dreading it all day, mostly because whenever I did these, I always had my go to mechanic back at my hometown and had no idea where to go in Houston. As I was already in the energy corridor area for a Pilates class, I checked Yelp and found this place. Came in without an appointment at 4:09 and left around 4:25. Fast, efficient, customer friendly and got the job done! What else would you want for an auto repair place? They even had a nice and clean air conditioned waiting area with interesting reads like Ripley's believe it or not and Guinness world records (if those float your boat, and in my case, yes they most certainly do). I was honestly writing an etsy review and was thinking of what to type when the mechanic came back with my car and keys ready to go. I didn't even get to finish. there are a lot of choices when it come to oil change and state inspection. This place is a bit far from our residence and not the cheapest. it does have good reviews and to be honest we drive the extra 20 min to take advantage of groupon. At the last visit, they refused to use the groupon saying groupon wouldn't honor it since one was used 9 months ago! Groupon on the other side did honor it and wanted the business to accept it. Auto check one refused. Got caught in cross fire and ended paying ~$150 out of pocket in addition to the groupon. not worth the hassle. read more

I despise having to get stuff done to my car! However, these Houston streets and this Houston heat are beating up my little 350Z! I first had AAA tow my car here after my radiator blew up (through no fault of mine!) And I took a chance on this little shop tucked back off the streets that when they walked in on Monday morning and found my keys dropped at their door, they would take good care of me and my car. I was not disappointed! Service is AWESOME...from everyone! Seriously.... They took the time to explain everything, they were patient when I wanted to relay the info to my boyfriend because I didn't really know what they were talking about (yea, I'm one of those, Lol) and they are big on keeping you informed periodically. Despite the unexpected issue (an engine problem), I never once felt like I was being taken advantage of.
