I asked how much for an oil change and the guy tells me 130.00, although I could see on the sign it says 99.00. However, 99.00 was still high for four quarts of oil but only 20 bucks hirer than where I usually go, but 130.00 before taxes, no way! Then to add insult to injury, he tells me it will cost extra for an oil filter. I have had oil changed in may places on many cars over the last 40 years, but never ever have I been charged separately for an oil filter. After some discussion, they gave me the first responders discount, since I was a retired police officer. This will be my first and last time going here. I asked them what temp it tests to now? They looked at me puzzled, so I even had to explain to the tech. Then, they brought out the antifreeze tester, but sorry, it busted - all they could say was bring it back in a week when we have another tester? Seriously, so after I returned and pulled out the photo I had taken right after the engine cooled at my home. I tested with my antifreeze tester. It showed only to 0 degrees F! Showed it to the tech back at Valolene- his only reply was Well, ok, it doesn't get cold around here anyway! I then asked for my money back, but he immediately declined, so I drove to Jiffy Lube down the street. They pulled the upper radiator hose hooked up their PRESSURE machine pushing all coolant through the radiator & heater core and engine - then out the unattached upper radiator hose. This is the only way to throughly replace the old fluid. No vacuum garbage there! I checked the antifreeze before adding it, and yes, good to -35F as it should be when done correctly! Stay far AWAY FROM VALVOLINE as possible , terrible service, extremely ignorant and rude! Cooling systems are only positive pressure, any negative pressure can hurt gaskets within the cooling systems. The staff was very rude and obviously did not care. Terrible service so stay away! I called the V headquarters and registered a complaint, was given a case # and was told I would hear back - well good luck with that, as of today the Aug 24 still waiting- that says something about the company! FYI Below you will see their invoice, then my HOME freez point of theeir service (since they had no instrument to use?) Clearly showed only 0F, then same day over to Jiffy Lube and I checked their work freez point was a good -35F as it should be! FYI BEWARE

*PLEASE DON'T GO HERE* We took our F-150 to AutoPro Alcoa…read moreon Gill St in March 2025 for warranty repair on a turbo and came out having to tow it to a Ford dealer and needing a new engine! AutoPro had the truck over a month (had to return twice) and following the final pick up, fluid drained everywhere and the engine locked up on the side of the road so we towed it to Ford. Ford claims per the attached invoice this was due to faulty install of the turbo and provided many photos for documentation. AutoPro initially tried to make it right by putting in a new engine and the general manager promised verbally as well as in writing to reimburse our rental car expenses incurred as a result of this mess. Unfortunately, per the attached email chain from AutoPro's general manager, they are now refusing to reimburse our rental car expenses. We are also out another $4,500 as that's what it took Ford to get the vehicle fixed following the new engine install. Shame on AutoPro! They left my family out to dry so we're having to sue following an already 6 months of disruption in our lives! Also, these bullies keep trying to get my reviews taken down but look at the evidence for yourself. The truth prevails. This place sucks.

Everyone is always friendly, well informed, and gets the job done. I always felt like I was a real person talking with a real person, rather than a consumer transacting with an institution. I'd give three stars for doing what they promised at the time promised, maybe 4 for being extra personable. What gets them to a strong 5 Stars is what Joey Matlock did when something went wrong. To be brief and intentionally vague, I bought the product they recommended, was unhappy about it, and they replaced it with something better. No argument, no resistance.
