My college aged son scheduled an oil change and repair for timing belt. Upon picking up his car he was told that the belt wast just loose and they fixed it at no cost and just charged him for oil change. Who does that in this day and age ... well Fisher Tires does!! We are very grateful for their generosity and treating a college kid so nicely. They could have charged him for the tightening, but didn't. In the words of my son, "those guys are great!" I started using Fisher in the 80's and they consistently do a good job. That enables me to confidently use Fisher without shopping around.

Their oil change center did not have synthetic oil, no problem. I purchased my oii and filter from Walmart and returned to Fisher oil to have them change it. Unfortunately, the technician didn't wear gloves, left oily handprints on the driver door, the hood and both sides of the fenders. Oil was dripping from the driver side fender and oily prints on the passenger side. The tech entered my truck three times with oily hands. I discussed the situation with the tech. I then called Fischer Tire to report my experience with them, but was unable talk with the responsible person, I was on hold for 16 minutes and finally gave up. I would not recommend Fisher Tire oil change business until they bring their quality standards up. I am a former customer who used Fisher Tire for all three of my vehicles. read more

Have been buying tires from Fisher for decades. Just recently we asked them to remove a license plate that we were unable to get off my car. We had already gone to Acura to remove it, since Harper Acura put the tag on the car when I purchased my MDX. Harper wanted $149 just to "diagnose" the problem. ATTENTION TRAVELERS: Fisher Tire diagnosed and fixed a broken tie rod on my beloved 350CLK Mercedes Convertible. They also changed the oil, and fixed a running light that was out. Mercedes wanted almost 2k to do the work. Fisher Tire did all of the above for a little over 4 hundred dollars, and took 2 hours to do it. Mercedes place couldn't even look at it until Monday August 21st. Amazing effort, and customer service at Fisher Tire They knew I was from out of town, and afforded me every courtesy and kindness. I went into Fisher Tire to have someone look at my son's brakes on his Jeep, after making an appointment. When we got there, they told me that they couldn't find our name anywhere. They said that it would be a few minutes, but they could squeeze me in and have look. After they opened up and investigated it, the service man said " the brakes have 65% left on the rear and 5% on the front", they are suggesting new rotors and pads for the front at $430+. "But, for $218, all it really needs is for the rotor to be shaved down and new pads". My kid is going back to school, will this be safe and effective? I asked. "Yes ma'am, and for half the price!" Excellent, so I made another appointment for 2 days later at 10am. My son brought the vehicle in a little before 10am and waited to talk to someone...finally at 10:45, the manager tells him both rotors and both sets of brake pads need to be replaced at a cost of $640+( including multiple coupons and discounts that would be applied!!! )What?? After, I called the manager myself, he tells me that a "tire installer" looked at the brakes and not a brake specialist...Again, what?? Why is someone that is obviously NOT qualified, looking at something as important as BRAKES?? As a sales professional myself, I take this extremely personal!! I would never treat a customer like this! Sorry FISHER TIRES- this sounds like a total bait and switch and taking advantage of a 19 year old kid!! I would never recommend you to anyone. Went to Fisher early last Saturday with an front end sway issue in an Red 88 Econoline Van Camper. The van was exhibiting a dodgy front end mainly caused by a worn steering sector and pitman arm bearing. Parts were not available on Saturday. Our mechanic made a decision to try and help mitigate the problem with a re-alignment and guess what? It worked well enough to restore most of the steering functionality. I have been to auto repair shops, dealerships, tire stores all over the country. It's usually "buyer beware". Not Fisher Tire. We have used them several times over the last few years and have found them to be very unusual. As near as I can determine, they are a rare bread in a shady, shady business. They are honest,charge fair prices, courteous and they obviously care about their business. They show this care by the way they treat their customers. Very, very happy with Fisher Tire. I had a small leak in my tire. Went to the Bearden location where the technician filled it with air. They were unable to put a patch on the tire due to time constraints so they called over to Farragaut and confirmed that I could be taken care of there. Once at the Farragaut location they got the car in the garage bay and realized that the patch was going to be placed in a spot that they weren't completely confident that it would hold. And due to the fact that my tires are run flats they couldn't replace it on the spot without ordering one in. However they told me that they would put on the patch to keep me going and they were kind enough to not charge me because they couldn't guarantee the patch. I'll get the tire replaced ASAP and send all my people to Fisher tire for their superior service. Thank you so much read more

Stay away from this place at all costs if you value your time and money. We experienced nontransparent pricing and multiple screw-ups on the part of their employees when having a simple wheel replacement done. They selected, ordered, installed, and didn't notice completely wrong aspect wheels (visualize tires hitting fender wells!) and when they corrected the error (another week without us having the vehicle) they made money on the backend of the deal by replacing with a cheaper brand. I called them on it, and they said they "forgot to refund us the difference" all the while not revealing the invoice so assume we still got gipped, just less. As a capper, they sent us away with a shoddy balancing job so we had to waste more time and money to come back for them to get that right. I trust Firestone more and that should speak volumes. read more

I walked in with a simple problem and was ignored multiple times by multiple front desk people. I was even prioritized by people calling in, to just chat on the phone. We pulled in and they were able to get us in immediately. They were very courteous and took care of our car immediately. They even let the kids draw on their sidewalk with sidewalk chalk. We were traveling from SC home to KY and realized we had a screw in our tire. We went 20 miles out of our way to go to Costco because that's where we got the tires back home, but then they told us it would be a 2 hour wait (with a 5 year old). As other reviewers have warned, you should stay away from this place. Took my car to this place and they said the back breaks were bad including the pads and rotors and so i told them to go ahead and replace them. But only after 3 months, the noise was back. I made an appointment online but somehow i was sent to the Fisher at Broadway in East Knoxville. When they inspected the car, they said the back break pads and rotors were all bad and needed replacement! I was shocked!. I showed them my receipt from this Fisher at 10232 Kingston Pike and they said they would replace them for free. However, when i got home, realized they only replaced one side. Surely after 9 months, i had to replace the back rotors and pads again. Wasted money and time. Spare your self the troubles and go to another shop. These folks are not honest. read more

I recently moved back to Knoxville and have a vehicle that has nitrogen filled tires and one was low. I was having great difficulty finding a place to get them inflated properly, even the tire store that replaced a blow out a few months ago and said they filled with nitrogen now states that they don't carry nitrogen. Everyone at Fisher Tire was kind, smiling and very helpful. They not only topped off the low tire but made sure all tires were correctly inflated with only nitrogen and not a mixture. The Hubbs went in for an oil change on 6/20. Haven't had anyone touch the car since... Now we are sitting on the side of the interstate without a drop of oil in the car. Someone did a pisspoor job of "changing" the oil. Now had we known that the person doing the oil change would not put oil in the car, we probably would either double checked their work or have gone somewhere else but we didn't know we would have to go behind someone that does this for a living. Hopefully the engine isn't ruined because either Travis or Jacob (their names are on the receipt) COULDNT DO THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF AN OIL CHANGE (not sure which one did the oil change, but both of their names are on the receipt). These guys were great! I was passing through TN on the freeway and developed a worsening vibration in my wheels. I stopped at one place in western TN in the morning and they balanced my wheels. No difference. Stopped the next mornng at Fisher. I got there about 7:45am and they got me in immediately. Diagnosed my problem as a bent rim on the front (where I had hit a pothole and destroyed a tire two years earlier). They didn't try to sell me a rim, but rather showed me the problem, re-balanced the wheel and rotated the front tires to the rear so I could resume my trip and find a used rim at my leisure. They had me back on the road by 8:15 and at a very reasonable price. My tire store in Tucson had not caught this nor did the guy who balanced the wheels that mornng. They are knowledgeable, honest and reasonably priced! read more
