Thank you Tony and Jim from the bottom of my heart. You guys are awesome. An hour and a half from my hotel the coolant light came on. I pulled over and liquid was spraying everywhere over the engine. I added water, said a prayer, and endured a white knuckle ride along steep mountain roads with nowhere to pull over and no cell service. Thankfully I made it to the hotel in Gatlinburg where the rest of the coolant poured out of the car into the parking lot. I called Tony the next morning after checking out their reviews and he told me to drop the car off which I did at 10 AM. A few how hours later he had it diagnosed as a burned hole in a coolant hose caused by rubbing against the radiator due to poor design. I authorized fixing it and by 2 o'clock he had me back on the road for an extremely fair price. You do not want to pay dealer prices and these guys are very reasonable. I worked in a mechanics shop for 20 years so I know honest mechanics and Tony and Jim are it. If you have a problem with your vehicle in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Sevierville take it here. We were on vacation when we began hearing a noise in our steering, checking google we found T&J's who we called and they said to drop the vehicle off and they would look at it. Trying to figure out how to get it there and drop it off decided to download the Uber app (we're old )dropped off the car got a ride back to Gatlinburg. After a short time they called and said one of my front struts were bad, I told them to replace both front struts, couple hrs. later it was done, they did a great job at a fair price. It is easy to see how a busy business could be tardy with a response especially when they cannot accommodate a customer. They have since contacted me with all the information I needed. Consequently, it they were able to fit my vehicle in their service bay, I would be delighted to have them perform the service. We are traveling from WI to TN and just south of Indianapolis our car began to make noise from the rear driver side tire area. After arriving in Sevierville TN we decided we needed it looked at. Not only was the shorter guy who runs it a complete douchebag, but they not only charged me three times what I paid to have the AC charged, but they didn't even fix the issue. Car broke down while on vacation here. Thought it was the fuel pump, and they could get me in right away. Quote me over $600 to install a new one, and it would take two days (basically the rest of our vacation!). Later that same day told me he could get the part faster, so next morning it would be done. Called me by 9:30 am and said it wasn't the fuel pump, but just the fuel pump module, and the total cost was only $170!!!! I appreciate an honest business man who didn't stick it to an "out of towner" on vacation. I would highly recommend them! read more

We were visiting the area from Chicago when our car suddenly had engine problems. Check engine light started blinking and engine was misfiring. Being out of state who do we turn too? Happened to find T and J"s and the reviews sounded good, but you never know. We dropped the car off and took a extremely overpriced taxi to Dollywood. Within an hour or so we got a call, problem was diagnosed and repairs would be $300.00 and car would be ready in a few hours.I talked to a mechanic friend back home and he said "that's a good price" As promised car was ready and we were good to go. Had a check engine light on, asked Jim if he could check it. Right away he went out to the lot and cleared it. Diagnosis was "random misfire" he recomended a fuel additive at Walmart. No charge. I'm going back tomorow for an oil change. Went back today for an oil and filter change, wow what fast service, curteious and reasonable. Wish we lived closer I would definently come back for all my car repairs. We are so used to getting screwed over when away from home by "national companies" when service is needed. Our Subaru Outback overheated on the way north through Sevierville. We were able to get it over to T & J's first thing in the morning the next day. Jim found a hole in the radiator. Long story short, 3 hours later we had a new radiator and were back on the road. Outstanding service, very reasonable price. Jim also told us about a great library a few blocks away where we spent our time until the car was fixed. Should be a 6+ star rating. read more

Honest Joe's (actually Jim!) We had car trouble while vacationing in Gatlinburg. Oil light & "stop engine" warning at Newfound Gap. I called T & J's. They saw us the next morning. Jim recommended a good spot for breakfast while they ran diagnostics, & had us on our way within an hour. It was a sensor malfunction. VERY reasonable fee! Excellent service is an understatement! 20 miles from our cabin in Sevierville, we noticed a bad sound in our brakes. Metal on metal! We limped the car up the mountain and immediately searched online for a mechanic. Called T&J's first thing in the morning and luckily they were able to work us in. We were able to get a rental from Enterprise for the day and the next morning our car was fixed. Drove it all over Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge for the next 3 days and then almost 600 miles home with no issues. Price was very reasonable, especially for an emergency fix. Me and my family were visiting Pigeon Forge in August when we heard a loud noise in our van. I didn't know anyone in town to check it out, so I searched Yelp and found T & J's automotive. I gave them a call on Tuesday late afternoon and they looked at it and knew what was wrong right away (broken fan motor blade, and it punctured the radiator also). They ordered the parts, had them in the next morning and my car was ready by 11:00 AM. They kept me informed with the entire process as I dropped my car off- ended up needing new timing chain and was leaving the morning after they were able to get one. Called them late Thursday afternoon and they told me to drop the car off Friday morning at 8:30. By 11:30 they had my car fixed, and the price was about half what I had prepared myself for. It's a real small shop but don't be scared. It's run by two guys and they are great!! Can to Gatlinburg for vacation and found out my rear axle seal on my Wrangler had gone bad on the trip down. Went to another shop that checked it out and couldn't do it do to the bearing being a press fit. They immediately called T and Js for me and they fit me right in! Me being from Illinois figured it was going to cost a lot more do to much higher shop time where I'm from. It cost half of what I figured so I asked if he could do both sides and he said "not a problem." I payed for the service and I bought them both lunch. Had a headlight fail while we were on a weeklong camping trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Knowing it's easy to get gouged in the area when you really need something we were hesitant to even get it fixed. Not wanting to forgo early morning or evening driving, we checked Yelp and saw T & J with a five star rating. We called Tony and he said if we came over he could help us out for a reasonable price. A 30 minute drive over but worth it. Tony got the part and fixed it in around 30 minutes and the price was actually a little cheaper than my mechanic at home. Tony's a man of his word.
