    I wish there was a way to not give a star at all. First they call and say they don't discuss numbers or anything over the phone even after I used their capital one finance application and I should come in. They ask what time you'll be here so they can make sure to have the car ready. I say tomorrow 1pm. Once I get there I wait over an hour just to see the car. Then the guy Jon refused to talk numbers before I test drove. Trying to make me fall in love with the car before they hit me with crazy numbers. Car price went up 7k with a bunch of optional added nonsense. Which then I wasn't able to finance. Wasted all afternoon and now almost 6 weeks later I'm still waiting to receive my $500 refund back. These guys are completely unprofessional and unethical. I had someone text me saying " are you sure your not playing games with us" because I told them I hadn't got the check they claimed they sent. I told him to check the tracking I asked to that he never gave or with accounting to see if anything was cashed. Why would you even speak to me that way. Sleazy dealership with people just the same. BBB complaint submitted as well as a fair trade complaint. Small claims form done. They probably just roll over most people, not me. Record your convos with the guys, will def help once you have to sue them. See you guys in court!

    Had a great convo with Andre Saturday evening. I'm showing interest in two of the cars on their website. Me and Mr. Andre made a plan for me to come in to see the car on Sunday; and get a book of sales. Sunday morning I get a text from Mr. Andre "Bruce our address is 46 Northern Blvd, Great Neck, NY 11021... Let me know what time we can expect you sir?". I tell him what time. He texts me later to ask my ETA.. I tell him 19 minutes. I get there and no one has the notes on the convo from the day before. One of the cars (GLE) isn't there. I was told the other one is "15 minutes away on another lot". So I waited; even though I thought is was strange to ask my ETA, like you had something in order waiting for me. I gave the same associate(Mike I believe) 3x as much time he said it would be. After 50 minutes I got up and left. 15 minutes turned into 50 and still no car. Not even a "hey would you like some water?" Or "hey sorry the wait will be make it worth your while when it comes to pricing. ANYTHING to show you want me business and your company messed up. I text Andre to see if this is the company idea of customer service. No answer. Lol

They called me around 3ish and let me know they finally got to my car and found out the issue. And they door dashed the part that was needed for the car. They did mention if they can't finish I won't be able to get the car back until Monday. Was a weekend and after that was a holiday. But to my luck they were able to finish right before they closed so that I was able to get my car back the same day instead of waiting another day since they'll be closed the next day. They were able to find the issue why my car wasn't starting.

    For a long time, I was taking my car to the dealer but gradually learned that I could not trust…read morethem. My brother-in-law recommended that I consider Douglaston Auto Care. He noted that they were friendly and honest. He was correct. The first time I went, it was shortly after working with the dealer---I was hearing a strange sound and had just paid the dealer an exorbitant amount of money for repairs on my brakes (which I had been noting for several visits and the dealer and they kept saying nothing was wrong until it got so bad that it became an expensive job). I brought my car to Douglaston Auto Care and the sound was coming from my positioning of the rubber mat on the floor against the brake and gas. Another mechanic would have seen that as opportunity to take advantage. Not at Douglaston---they are honorable. They told me the truth. I have been going there ever since and will never return to my dealer. They are always truthful and explain in detail what has to be done. Their work is also impeccable. I give them my highest recommendation.

The drive to the shop for any of us literally passes dozens of other shops. I can easily find mechanics out to rip me off, that'll let me drive away in a 2 ton vehicle set to fall apart in a week on the highway or better yet not know what they are doing and cause more damage. The last thing anyone in NY wants is another bill, driving in NY streets whether an aggressive driver or not it's obvious these cars take a beating. At the end it boils down to if: you want some one to sell you and sail you along? Or some one that fairly addresses areas that need attention the most? I'll continue to come here, while the staff are decent folks and owner is very personable the real value is when I am able to drive off with those guys in the rear-view in a car that is notably in much better shape.

Instead of answering, the front desk person slammed the table, got extremely angry, and made me feel like he was about to get violent. His eyes were full of rage, and he accused me of being disrespectful, even though I was polite and calm the whole time. I didn't insult or question his skills--I just wanted to know if they had the capability. Instead, he told me to go back to whoever changed my brake pads. The aggression was so intense that I felt genuinely threatened. This was an awful experience, and I cannot recommend this shop to anyone.
