Jarel was the one that responded to my son's email right away yesterday and set up this appointment. My son was able to test drive an all-wheel challenger and was pleased at how well it drove. There wasn't anything wrong that stood out. A gouge on one of the tires but it wasn't bad and the tire is fine. The rest of the car is great. Mr. Hazen is the manager and handled the trade in with my son's car smoothly. So, I had written this review before the end of the sales and it's set up this way. I recommend waiting until all sales are final and here's why. We get to the last guy Mr. Laird and found out there's a tracker put into the car and you get charged just under $1500 for that. No choice. I didn't like that at all. We let it go since it was already in the car. Not right though.

Update: Colton the sales manager (decent guy) stepped up and tried to make this right after being…read moreon the phone all day back and forth. They agreed to refund the full amount of the GAP insurance and Warranty we didn't want. As on now after 3 weeks, we have not received the refund which is alarming. I'm almost at the point of reaching out to an attorney. I'll keep you updated if they follow through. Regarding the misaligned trunk, broken seals on the taillights, and other bad body work; Colton did arrange a loaner car and the vehicle was fixed at the Paint Spot and is no longer flooding the trunk. I'm not sure how the car made it to the lot in the first place; if there was a 150-point inspection completed. Here are a couple of things to be aware of: 1) They will try to sell you a vehicle monitoring system that is $50 GPS tracking unit that is connected to your OBDII system. They wanted $1799 for it, and they say it can't be removed. It has two tabs to remove the unit in about 10 seconds; Later the salesman said we could pay for a year then they will remove it.... this was a complete lie. Don't Pay it! 2) They tried to add on a carbon credit fee of $200 which no one could explain what it was. 3) Their dealer fee is $699 which is on the high side and the highest I've come across in Utah. 3) Branded cars have no manufactures warranty left, you have zero warranty on their cars. They will offer you a warranty and in my son's case they said it was $2,200 off but the contract was $4500 for a warranty, he thought it was $2200 total????? They also said it was through America Frist CU and it could be cancelled if no claims were made. Of course, when I looked at the paperwork it wasn't with America First.... 4) The next morning after driving the car home he noticed the trunk was leaking, the taillights were full of moisture, and the trunk is out of alignment. We had an autobody tech look at it and he said there were numerous panels out of alignment and the car should not have left the shop. We went into the dealership Monday morning and asked to return the car and get our down payment back. They said it's his fault and he should have checked the vehicle (it was dark at night when he saw the car). I would get the car checked out at a local body shop before signing anything FYI.

The truck we bought so far is great (so far anyway). Here is the bad: 1. The salesperson knew absolutely nothing about the vehicle. We asked a lot of questions and he knew nothing. 2. The salesperson left us every few minutes to help other customers, leaving us sitting in the vehicle. 3. Several times when we asked specific questions, the salesman said he would ask his manager. He would leave us, then return 15-20 minutes later and forgot to get the answer from the manager. 4. They lowballed me on the price of my trade-in, which was quite a bit lower than the trade-in value on KBB. I started to walk out the door, but the salesman said he would talk with the manager again. 20 minutes later the manager came out and fed us with garbage about kbb is not accurate and they would lose money on the trade-in. Blah blah. Again, I was not ready to bite so we proceeded to leave again. Then another manager came out and asked us "what do you want your monthly payment to be?" We didn't want to settle on a number but finally they agreed to a reasonable price that we eventually agreed on. Don't you love the wheeling and dealing of car dealerships? Always a game with them! 5. An hour later we finally met with the finance guy to go over numbers. This is where it gets really bad. First of all, he played games with the numbers, putting in things that we had to and ask him to remove again. Then, he in a excited voice told us that we qualified for Ford's PremiumCare plan which covers almost everything. We of course didn't believe it. He wrote on a paper how it covered the engine, tires, transmission, body, etc. etc. It was truly too good to be true. I have never heard of a warranty that covers everything for 20 years of 500,000 miles. NOBODY keeps a vehicle at long. After really trying to get him to explain how this kind of warranty was possible, he excused himself for a few minutes, and left. A few minutes later his came back with his manager. He told us that the actually warranty was nearly $10,000, but he said he made a mistake and only charged us $5000. His manager said that it was their mistake and would give it to us for $5000. The finance guy has been working there for a while and you are telling me he didn't know the cost of this so-called Ford Premium warranty? Good job guys, that was an amazing acting job. 6. We decided to bite on the warranty and he had to print it 4 times to get it right because he added things to it that we did not agree to. I looked a the 2-page warranty, and then he told us that the tires and rims were a separate policy, I looked at that 2-page document. It didn't have any information on it regarding what was really covered, just some general things. By the way, there was nothing on those sheets that said FORD on it. The company offering the warranty was Gold Standard Automotive Network! We were tired of the games he also played with our interest rate, claiming he could buy some of it down for us (which he did not do), so we signed what was left and drove away in our truck. 7. The finance manager gave me his personal phone number and said I could call him anytime if I asked questions. When I got home, I had a lot of questions about the warranties, so I tried to call him during normal business hours. I called five times on the same day. I was told he was there, but was with other customers. I called the next day and talked with our salesman. He said he would get a message to him and that he would call soon. Six hours later nothing. I called again, got another salesman who also said that he would give him the message. Again, no call. During this time, I texted him multiple times over 3 days. No response. On the fourth day, he finally texted me back and said he would call me soon. All day went by, nothing. The next day, nothing. I called again, nothing. 8. I called the Gold Standard Automotive Network and asked for specific documentation that detailed what was covered and the stipulations. They emailed me all the correct documents. We carefully read through both the tire and lifetime policies. Now remember the finance guy told us that the warranty pretty much covered everything and was a Ford Premium Care warranty. The person at Gold Standard Automotive Network specifically said that they do not have the Ford Premium Care warranty but carried their own services. After reading the red tape and lawyer-talk, I can tell you that the warranties definitely do NOT cover everything. If fact, the warranty covers very little. There are so many stipulations and exclusions, that I doubt I would be able to actually get and money out of them. If you go to their website and the BBB, you will find that many many people have been screwed over by this company, with just a handful actually getting anything out of them. DO NOT LET THEM TALK YOU INTO ANY EXTENDED WARRANTY!

Took 3 weeks to get the roof rack, it was evident the salesman had totally forgotten about it. As I was getting my Utah license about 30 days later, it occurred to me to check the plate status. The state hadn't received any paperwork! Called EV auto and got a runaround, that they go through a "3rd party vendor" for titles and they didn't have it. I didn't buy the car from a 3rd party-- I bought it from you. EV express mailed me an extension tag, and when the title finally came in the salesman walked it into the DMV. We were super happy with the experience and thought their sales team and cars were great. Fast forward to this year. We messaged them about a car since we were helping a friend who needed to purchase a car. I received a phone call from Trevor asking about our interest in the car and I told him we were coming in the next day to look at it, but mentioned to him we were looking at a competitors car as well. He told us that the competitors weren't good and sold lemon cars, which I thought was pretty negative of them. Especially since we've bought several cars from this competitor many times throughout the years and been super happy with them. And whenever we've told the competitor that we were looking at cars from Kentson, they didn't say one bad thing about them. When we went to test drive the cars today Trevor wasn't there but another sales guy helped us. He was helpful but all of the cars we drove were all filthy and smelled bad, or the tires were completely worn down and would have needed to be replaced. We walked back in to the sales floor after driving a car and our salesman wasn't there so we handed the keys to the salesperson there. He looked at us confused and like we were bothering him (even though there was no one else in there) and we wondered what was going on. We told him we were dropping the key off and were going to look at another one but didn't know where the other guy had gone. He didn't say much and it was really uncomfortable. Come to find out, that was Trevor that I had talked to the other day. It wasn't professional at all. Instead of greeting us and asking us what he could do to help us he just stared at us and acted confused. We went back outside and the other salesman was there with another car for us to drive. That one was much better, and my friend was seriously considering it, but after driving it we told them we wanted to check out the other one at Rand's just to see what it was like. They mentioned again how they sell lemon cars (they do sell buy backs with minor issues that have been fixed from Tesla) and that they would never buy cars from them. My husband told them that we'd be talking to the guy we usually buy from over there and we'd be in touch. All of us were really uncomfortable with how they were trying to trash the other car dealership and it left a really bad impression. We drove down to the other dealership and all of the cars there were so much better taken care of. They had replaced tires and detailed all of the cars and it was just a much better experience. We told them that we saw one at Kentson that we liked and he said that they are a great dealership and have good inventory. We all looked at each other and were blown away. It just made Kentson look even worse. My friend ended up buying the car from the competitors and not Kentson. And afterward both of us got calls and texts from Trevor asking us how the test drive was at the competitors. I texted him back that she ended up getting a different car (so that he didn't keep contacting us - talk about high pressure) and he wanted to know which one she bought! It's none of his business which car she purchased, and I knew he was going to look it up and tell me what was wrong with it and why we shouldn't have considered it. It was just super unprofessional and we all said we would never go back there. It's a shame because they used to be really good but they've gone way down hill!!

We bought the car knowing it had a branded title but Trent had said it was rebuilt and restored to code and things looked good on the outside. But it was far from that. We took the car to Kia in layton to get a sensor recalibrated and when they took off the front bumper they immediately called my husband and said they wouldn't work on the car because of how bad it was and advised us to get a lawyer and sue immediately. Here is a list of some of the problems we had with this car Self tapping screws holding things together including the radiator, a screw in the sunroof shade, bad battery, bent crash bar, bent frame, broken radiator, missing skid plate, the bumper was plastic welded together, forward collision sensor was broken and the hood latch broke. We contacted trent to see if he would make things right and he agreed to take it into a shop to get it fixed well the body shop had the car for almost 3 months and Trent was absolutely terrible at communicating and wouldn't answer our messages or got shitty with us when we asked for parts lists and things that were getting fixed. Well we Got the car back and found out he only got the radiator fixed, new crash bar and supposedly fixed the frame. And has now ghosted us. For them to have my car for almost 3 month I thought it would have been all fixed but we still have to put so much money into it. Long story short please for the love of god don't buy from this dealership especially if it's from Trent and me and my husband have learned to never buy a branded title again.
