I've finally had my first cracked windshield and it was an awesome experience to have someone come to my house to fix it! So convenient!

TO YELP READERS After 18 years of driving, I got my first ever cracked windshield. And I drive a lot. My insurance company referred and set me up with All Star Glass within 24 hrs! Awesomeness: - They came to my place to fix it. How freaking convenient (as I am in high productivity mode right now). Sooo cool! I don't know or care if this is standard, I super appreciate this feature of their service and the execution of the service. - It cost me 60% less than my dealership would have charged (I called). - Was able to fit me in immediately. TO COMPANY Hi All Star Glass people! I want to say thank you so much for your service. I was on the phone as Carlos was completing the windshield work and I didn't get to properly thank him. So I called and got Jessica (who was also pretty pro with a cheerful attitude). Carlos, you did great work! Probably routine work for you but I super appreciate that you fixed my windshield and added new wipers. I use my car A LOT for work and you saved me a lot of time and stress. It's really nice not to have to sit in line anywhere. Thank you so much for driving all the way to Richmond! Thank you and have a wonderful and fulfilling new year!

Nothing like a little smash and grab auto burglary in the city when you're already feeling low & poor. I like all of my money to go towards food, but I can't exactly be driving a vehicle without a window, so I was forced to replace it. Of course, the *sshole broke the window at dusk or maybe later, so I was forced to drive home at 9 pm & do a little online search. I found All Star Glass & liked that I was able to do an online quote which came to around $204. This amount was a pleasant surprise, but I didn't think it would remain that low once a live person contacted me in the morning. Surprise again. The mobile window repair person came to me (from across the other side of the bay which was included in the price) for $214- less than my deductible & not worth reporting losses since the insurance doesn't cover anything not bolted to the car. (You may want to check your policy before you go to the trouble of filing a police report like I did if this happens to you.) The repair person was very nice, super fast & even went over & beyond & vacuumed the broken glass inside the car. Thank you All Star Glass. You made a major inconvenience a heck of a lot more convenient!

I brought my car in for a small cracked windshield and worked with Angel, who was very helpful. I…read moremade a claim through my insurance, and the repair was applied to my deductible, which made the chip repair free for me. It's not a perfect fix, but it prevents the crack from spreading, which made it completely worth it in my opinion. The repair was paid by insurance, and the process was easy once everything was confirmed. I did have to come twice because my appointment wasn't fully confirmed the first time, so I'd recommend calling ahead if you're unsure. Other than that, service was smooth and professional. I'd definitely recommend.

RETIRED JUDGE SAYS "NEVER AGAIN!!"…read more I had a full windshield replaced a year ago at their shop. All went well. My other car recently got a little pebble-size crack. I called them, and they sent out a mobile van repair guy. It took an hour to do the resin, etc., and it looked fine. $213, no problem. A month later, the crack re-appeared!!! Exact same crack, we matched the photos. I called customer service, they check things, and said they would come in two days to fix it again. I requested a different technician. They agreed. Their technician "Cameron" showed up. BUT---he said he was only there to take photos, NOT TO FIX IT! He explained in detail how the previous technician had not properly applied/squeezed the resin. I said I just wanted my money back. A friend wanted to buy the car, so we agreed to deduct $200, and he'd buy it "as is". Cameron said he'd send me copies of these photos and his report when he got back to the office, and tell the office I wanted a refund, not further attempt to repair it. I heard nothing whatsoever from him in a week! Today I called the cell number he had left. He answered. I said I wanted copies of the photos, and asked how the refund was coming. At first he said he had erased the photos, and couldn't help me!! I asked about the refund, he said he also couldn't help me!! Then he said "maybe" his Manager had the photos, and "might" help. He switched me to someone, then disconnected me. The new person listened to the details, said she couldn't help me, and switched me to someone else. They said they couldn't help me, but would get someone to call me in a day or two. At this point I called my credit card company and filed a complaint. That could take up to 90 days, but I should get the refund, they have been very good with a few similar claims in the past. SO---they never fixed it properly to begin with! On that basis they get zero stars. THEN--I waited 3 hours to get it"re-repaired"---and they only sent someone to take photos! Another zero stars. AND---the guy NEVER sent the photos, and lied about erasing them, -- AND, FINALLY---all the "Customer Service" agents I was forwarded to simply passed me on to another "of no help", and sais someonewill call me. SO, FOUR ZEROES OUT OF FOUR!! If you need your cracked windshield fixed, I'd suggest you DON'T give in to the multi-million dollar ad campaign splashed ALL over the TV 20 or more times a day! Try a local shop that may be a few bucks more, but which will get it done properly, and stand by their work!

I would not recommend this company based on our experience…read more My daughter scheduled a windshield replacement. Prior to the installation, her vehicle did not have any known issues with wind noise or water intrusion. After the first installation, she immediately noticed loud wind noise. A technician returned the same day to attempt to address the issue. When she later drove back to Sacramento, the wind noise continued. A second technician came out and applied sealant, but the issue was still not resolved. My daughter notified him by text that the windshield still did not appear sealed and expressed concern because rain was expected. The message was read and not responded to. A third visit was required. The original technician returned, removed the windshield, and installed a new windshield using a different sealing method. During this visit, he expressed concern about the quality of the prior installation. He was responsive and polite, and this installation appears to be holding. Unfortunately, during the period when the windshield was not fully sealed, a storm occurred and water entered the vehicle, leaving the interior soaked. The vehicle required professional detailing at a cost of two hundred dollars in an effort to address the moisture and reduce the risk of mold. The car remains damp. On Christmas Eve, my daughter and the technician attempted to contact the office to ask how to proceed regarding the repeated installation issues and the resulting damage, but the office was closed for the holiday. The day after Christmas, I contacted the manager. Rather than discussing a resolution, he was dismissive, interrupted repeatedly, accused us of unrelated issues with the vehicle, and suggested the water intrusion may have come from another source despite stating he remembered the case well. When I expressed hope that the situation could be resolved professionally, without lawyers, the manager responded that people threaten lawyers all the time, told us to go that route, and then hung up the phone. Multiple failed installation attempts, poor communication, and unprofessional management made this a very disappointing experience.

It took four separate visits just to get…read moremy windshield installed correctly, and because it wasn't sealed properly, water leaked into my car and completely soaked the interior. This caused major inconvenience during the holidays and forced me to pay $200 for a professional detailing to clean up the damage. When I called to speak with the manager about reimbursement, he was incredibly rude, dismissed my concerns by saying "that's not how it works," and then hung up on me. Very unprofessional service and zero accountability, I would not recommend this business.

Yelp does it again! After a rock cracked my windshield, I came here looking for somebody to…read morereplace it. Yes, there are several mobile repair operations around the bay area, but how good are they? It seems like you never know who's going to show up to fix your windshield. So I found Bob Santini here. Had never heard of him and really wasn't sure if he was for real. But the reviews convinced me to give him a call. Bob returned my message quickly and asked about my insurance coverage. I'd assumed that it wasn't worth it to report it to my insurance company, but he said that many people have policies with small deductibles for windshields, vandalism, etc. It turned out he was right! I called my insurance company and not only was my deductible $100 instead of $250, but Bob Santini was on their list of preferred repair people! Less than 24 hours later, Bob came to my place of employment (exactly when he said he would) and replaced my windshield. I learned that he has 30 years of experience and does mostly commercial work. He doesn't need a lot of new business, but despite that, he was always prompt and professional. And, oh yeah, he saved me hundreds of dollars. I gave him a check for $100 and he was on his way. Bob Santini represents everything that is great about Yelp. Highly recommended.

He said he could fix it, but not while it was damp; to let it dry in the sun, then put tape over it to keep it dry until he could do the work. My friend did this right away, but I still put it off. Yesterday, I finally called Bob and we made a date for today. He was right on time, did the job beautifully, helped me with the insurance paperwork. He is a AAA authorized shop and they were glad to guarantee his work.
