Can't recommend. Installed our windshield through Mercury Insurance. I have not been able to get the windshield "clean". Always looks like there is something on it (like bad sealant on the glass). Seal has failed and it has taken 3-4 attempts to get it fixed. Installer has been calling in sick or is late etc. very frustrating. read more

Recently had my windshield on 2025 Honda CRV Hybrid replaced...after not one, not two, not three, but four separate visits. The incompetence and lack of care and customer service on all points is staggering . On the first visit as I arrived, parked in their driveway, we then get a notice that the technician will not be in due to car trouble. Second visit after the install, the technician takes our car out for what we were told to do a dynamic recalibration that was suppose to be five minutes..gone for nearly 25 minutes. as we drive away, as the sun light hit our windshield just so...we notice at least a dozen fingerprints on the windshield and all over our interior mirror. Figuring this was just sloppy workmanship, I would just clean it when I returned home. cleaned the mirror, but no matter what I used I couldn't remove the fingerprints..cleaned both sides to no avail. The receipt said what was performed was a static calibration. Onto our third trip, it was determined the fingerprints were embedded into a class layer during production. Where was the quality control from the manufacture and why didn't the class technician inspect the class before installing after telling us this class company has had similar past issues. So the office personnel has to order another windshield from a different company whose company is better regarded for quality. So why , if they knew, would they order an inferior windshield in the first place. Finally on our fourth trip, we're told the technician is running 10 minutes late..shows up a half hour late. We get the car back in a timely manner only because the technician chose to do a static recalibration...makes me suspect that the tech had taken our car out to lunch the first time when we were told it was a five minute dynamic recalibration that took twenty five minutes. Driving home, I notice the dash just covered with "debri particles " from replacing the windshield. Don't know if autoglassnow are independent franchises but if this is standard of how they run their business..it is a business I would do everything to boycott the business. Unfortunately, Yelp ratings don't have the option of zero or negative stars. My advice...DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS!!!!!! Lastly, I hope this review impacts there business negatively until they get their act together ...be accountable, be transparent and do your job right! read more

I had a terrible experience with this company and recommend that you choose a different place to get your glass work done. It took multiple attempts to get the correct glass for my car, and that meant that I wasted one afternoon and one full morning off of work trying to get the work completed. They did offer me a discount, but then when the work was finally completed, they charged me more than their quote, and they couldn't explain why. Very, very frustrating experience. read more

First attempt, they never called me back to set up the appointment, then second attempt they set up the service at my home but then 5 minutes before the appointment called and said they had to have the car come to their shop, so I set it up, the appointment was for 2 weeks later, so went to the appointment, walked around the area the shop was in for over an hour and then noticed that my car hadn't moved. When I came back they told me that they had the wrong glass and I would have to wait until they find other glass...I took my car and will not go back. The worst experience I've ever had with an auto glass company. Scheduled an appointment for 8/1 8am, the installer calls in sick and I am not notified til after I get there. I reschedule for 8/4 8am, get there right at 8 and no one is there. Call the office and she says he's on the way. I wait 30 minutes and still no one. Martin at All Star Glass in San Rafael knows what he is doing and does not overcharge for it. Great experience getting my windshield replaced on my 2017 Honda Odyssey. He also did a side mirror replacement that was not covered by insurance. Pro tip: I was pleasantly surprised that I had "glass replacement" insurance as part of my Geico policy, which brought the deductible down to $50 instead of the $500 deductible that applies to other work/repairs. I will now make certain all future auto policies have the Glass Replacement coverage. read more

I got estimates from several places about replacing my '17 Subaru Outback windshield. Since it has the more advanced tech, it is way pricier than a plain one. All Star came in several HUNDRED dollars lower so I made an appointment. I met Martin at their no-frills shopfront and took a walk while he changed things out and calibrated it. On time, friendly and professional service and a new windshield with fully functional Eyesight calibrated correctly. Hurrah! Then a week later, I get a chip from a gravel truck in front on me. Quickly call All Star, and they offer a home visit in a few days, or if I can bring it to shop again they will fit me in right away. My car is basically my life, and it's really hard for me to pass over the keys for anyone to do anything to it. However a windshield replacement is something I just can't do myself. Huge points to Martin, who was incredibly nice, fast, and did a great job. No glue spilled, great alignment, and 2 months in with no leaks! Okay, maybe I only seem to write rave reviews because (1) I hate dissing people, but, (2) much more importantly, I always check Yelp when in need of a business. So, that's how I found All Star Glass, and twice now, they have been out-freaking-standing. Almost a year ago, my rear windshield on my Windstar blew out. At first we believed it was vandalism: turns out it was probably because our ABS shorted out and fried the entire electrical system, making the auto-defrost in the rear window hyper-heat and explode! Yippee! Anyway, called All Star and a great guy named Carlos came out the next day with the exact replacement we needed and had everything fixed and ready to go in less than an hour. SOOOOO... a few days ago, I went out to my car and THIS time some sorry excuse for a human had indeed smashed the windshield in. (They left the rock to prove it.) Sure didn't need the headache, but I called All Star again and the very next day, I was fortunate enough to have Carlos return as the repair person. He was awesome, friendly, just a great guy who works for a great company. No one needs a shattered window. But if it happens, All Star Glass will take care of you. I did not even notice the tiny crack on my windshield until my husband pointed it out. I don't know when and how it got there. The crack was smaller than a quarter but he was worried it might get worse. Found this company after an online search. He called first thing in the morning to inquire whether they could repair it. You DO NOT need to have someone give you a four hour window on a Saturday, show up at the last minute of that window, and tell you that they are missing a critical part that must be ordered and shipped. You don't need that in your life. So I recommend you go to Marin Auto Glass, Duran's, or Safelite. Call ahead to make sure that they have the windshield and are open. I had two windows broken in my car yesterday and when I contacted glass repair places, they were all closed. All Star Glass was recommended to me by a friend. I called first thing in the morning, got a quote and set up an appointment for the afternoon. Carlos came to my place in Richmond to replace the windows and called when he was about 10 minutes away. It took about an hour to replace the windows and he even swept up the glass in my parking space. They will also clean the glass out of your car, however I had already taken care of most of it the night before. Would highly recommend All Star Glass! read more
