I had a " rock chip " on a Friday, drove by Marin Auto Glass Saturday after booking an appointment at Safelite and noticed the low reviews for Safelite was referred to Stellway with high recommendations. Safelite had recommended windshield wiper replacement without seeing my car so I looked elswhere. Darryl not only answered my call on a Saturday walked me through safety precautions of not getting the chip wet by putting packing tape on it, then came out they next day on a Sunday because he was concerned. Unfortunate experience. Darryl had a bad attitude to begin with. Wasn't too happy about me getting back to him via text. On the day of he sent me a text at the time he was supposed to arrive to tell me that he's running 45 minutes late. Shows up with an even worse attitude to tell me that the crack had been repaired previously and that I must have bought a used car. He didn't care to explain his analysis any further and simply wanted to leave. Both my car and my husband's car had small chips (smaller than a dime) in the front windshields. My service provider at Infiniti recommended Darryl to repair the chips since he's local in Novato. I like the idea of giving business to a local provider, so I called my insurance company, Travelers, and they were fine with using Darryl to make the repairs. I just purchased a used 2011 Ford F-150 as is. The problem is when I test drove the truck it was nighttime and I didn't see the large chip( about the size of a dime) on the passenger side on the windshield.
