    Paint repair is fading.

    Had my truck hood repaired at G&C auto body San Rafael. I've been there before for other work. This time within two years the repair on the hood was failing substantially. I brought it to them and they did another repair free of charge. A few years later the same repair area was coming apart and blistering as it seems the components that they used we're not compatible with each other. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went back to them to ask if they would repair it again and they asked for my receipt. I couldn't find my receipt from five years ago and so they declined helping me[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Although they state that their repairs are guaranteed for as long as you own the vehicle, apparently they don't keep any database of you being in their shop. The blistering paint was undetected until I was washing my truck and a piece of it came off and I cut my hand on the jagged edge of the broken paint. The side of the hood paint is now fading. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I then went to the main GNC auto body in Santa Rosa where they took down my information but nobody ever called me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's hard to believe at this day and age that they don't keep a database on their customers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All I want is my hood fixed. Seems that they just don't care anymore about the quality of their work or what materials are compatible with each other so these FAILED repairs dont happen.

Sure there could be cheaper shops out there, however if you are looking for quality, high standard, Barsotti's is the place to be. The two employees I interacted with, Manny and Vanessa, have always been great. For example, Manny is the technician that has worked on prepping my full carbon fiber wing and has done an amazing job each time. In fact, Manny always goes above and beyond and even texted me with updates / pictures throughout the process. Never have I seen a technician do that. Vanessa always promptly answered my emails and was a pleasure to work with in terms of communication and reply speed. Overall, I will continue to use Barsotti's as my body shop of preference, thank you to Manny, Vanessa, the painter and the entire team at Barsotti!

    I've used this shop three separate times over the years because they're certified for Range Rover…read morerepairs and generally have positive reviews. The people I've dealt with have always been courteous and nice, which I appreciate. However, my overall experience has been frustrating due to the length of time my vehicle has spent in the shop, communication issues, and problems with the repairs. My first repair took approximately 4 1/2 months to complete. During a later repair, my vehicle was returned with an unfinished component underneath the front of the car, causing my tire to rub against it for nearly a year. Most recently, my vehicle was in the shop for about five weeks. Communication was also a challenge. I frequently had to contact the shop myself for updates, and I was often told the vehicle would be ready in a few days or the following week, only for the completion date to be pushed back repeatedly. I understand that delays can happen, but after three separate experiences, I expected more proactive communication, better quality control, and more reasonable turnaround times. I returned because of the shop's positive reviews and Range Rover certification, but after three separate repair experiences, I no longer feel confident that the repair timelines and quality control justify the inconvenience.
