Unsafe Windshield Replacement - Periodic Advanced Driver Assistance Alerts and Systems Issues…read more I have been dealing with an issue for over a month. After Safelite replaced my windshield twice within a week the alert system began to throw repeated errors. I tried to address it with the company, but rather than own up to their mistake they push it back on me as a pre-existing issue. The store manage washed their hands of the issue rather than do the right thing. I have had no issues before the windshield was replaced. They only started after a heavy rain a couple of days after the replacement. The issue went away when the rain went away. We the rain returned last week the issue came back. I have reached out several times to speak with management and have never received a return call. I have been told many times that someone would reach out and that has yet to happen. UPDATE: Since I did not receive the a call back from management that I was promised on multiple occasions I escalated the issue to the Better Business Bureau. I have continued to get messages through BBB attempting to push the issue back on to me. I still have not spoken to anyone regarding the issue. The company made a mistake and should address the issue appropriately. This is a safety issue. the forward-facing camera is affected. Causing the advanced driver assistance alerts and systems to throw errors. At this point it is only errors, but if this is not addressed it could become a much bigger issue.

I couldn't find anyone who would repair but was eventually referred to Middletown Auto Glass & Upholstery. I went to the small "mom & pop" business to get a quote. This place is old school, and I mean that as a compliment. I was quoted a fair price. They took my seat out and I told them there was no rush, as I knew they would have to special order the vinyl. I also knew the color might be an exact match. Wow, was I surprised when, within 10 days, I received a call my seat was finished. I went to the shop and was blown away by the result. Not only was the color spot on but the repair of the seat was hand stitched with additional padding in the seat. This was one of the best auto repair experiences of my life (I am 60 years old). I recommend this business to ANYONE who needs auto glass and upholstery work. This shop may be the one of the last businesses where craftsmen actually work their job as an art.
