My recently purchased Mercedes had a pebble that hit my front windshield while on the expressway & put a small hole which had started to crack on two sides of the hole. The damage was beyond repair so I needed a replacement. I researched awhile for auto glass places & came upon this one that had good Yelp reviews. I called & spoke to Leslie on 1/7/26 who was friendly & informative which I appreciated. She looked up my vehicle & gave me a quote that was the best price out of all the places I got quotes for. She told me she'd need to order the glass so I told her to do so. I then came at 8:20 a.m. on 1/8/26 to get the glass put in. I was the first customer to arrive. A tall skinny guy came out & I told him what I was there for. He wasn't really friendly. He then took the keys to bring my car into the work area & I went into the waiting area. I like that there is a glass window by the front desk where you can watch them while they work which I checked a few times to see what they were doing. Many customers do business there, the waiting area became pretty full fast. Forty-Five minutes later, my car was ready. I went out to look at my vehicle. I didn't like the fact that they left all kinds of small bits of glass & debris on my front fender & I let them know that needed to be cleared. I felt on the windshield panel & some sort of black substance got on my hands (see picture). They cleared the debris & I then paid through Zelle because any other payment incurs a 3.5% processing fee. I asked for a receipt & asked the person who gave me the receipt his name because I had a few questions. He said "Carlos" & gave me a car calendar which was nice. I then go out to my car to leave. As I adjusted my mirror, the mirror suddenly came out of the holster. I was shocked & went back inside to let them know. It was the tall, skinny guy again who went out to look at it. He brought it back into the work station. They worked on it for awhile which made me a bit nervous while back in the waiting area along with the fact that there is a camera that the mirror is a part of. At first, the one worker requested me to put the mirror in the position I wanted. I questioned him - the mirror should be able to be adjusted, not just in one position. At that point, no part of management came to me to address the problem. Finally, the tall, skinny guy told me my car was ready. I now had been there 2 hours. I went to the car & tested out the mirror very carefully. I then asked the tall guy what the issue was that caused the problem. He mentioned about an original part but he wasn't communicating very well for me to understand what happened. I asked him if I have any other issues with the mirror what should I do. He told me to bring it back. I then asked him who the manager was of the establishment. He told me "why do you want to know?" At that point, my opinion of the establishment completely changed. I told him that I have spent close to $500 here & you are not willing to give me the manager's name? He then told me the manager's name is Carlos which is who had taken my payment prior. I asked him to bring Carlos over which he did. I confirmed with Carlos that he indeed was the manager which he said he was. I let him know my concerns as far as what the issue was with fixing the mirror & why his employee got snippy with me when asking a simple question of who the manager was there. He was able to explain why there was an issue with a bracket that secures the mirror & what was done to fix it. He told me he would address the response his worker gave me. He thanked me for my business, my patience but that didn't come until I asked to speak to him. It would of been nice to have gotten that at the time the issue was first presented as he was right there at the register knowing what was going on. Carlos was friendly & professional so I appreciated that. The lady at the front desk said that they've been in business for 17 years which is great. They have signs that say not to talk on the phone on speaker or video (see pictures) but the young lady who was working at the desk was talking to a woman on speakerphone & loudly playing games on her phone while also talking to another employee about a customer who she just spoke to on the phone who wasn't willing to give their car information. They had a big screen TV in the waiting area but it wasn't on. The waiting area is small but nicely constructed with black comfy chairs to sit & wait for your vehicle. My advice is to make sure you carefully inspect your car before you leave there. My wipers automatically turn on when there is water on the windshield so I had them test that out before I left to which it was working. I'm glad to have a new windshield but didn't like the hiccups that happened along the way. Mostly all the employees are hispanic & alot of times as they were working, they were talking in Spanish so I couldn't understand what was being said which for me was a bit uncomfy. read more

Cool little shop in a shady area. Nice guys, with seriously unbeatable prices. My repair turned out to be a bigger problem then expected, but they still fixed it for the price they had quoted. Went there to get a window replaced and the wiper was still attached but attached in the 5 pm position . It took one hour to replace for a reasonable price but he came back saying that wiper blade broke off! Like how???? It wasn't in the vicinity of the window! I should have taken pictures first. It was definitely a reasonable price but now I have to replace the arm. The window didn't take all day to put in as well. The didn't offer to replace it either which was disappointing! To me the right thing to do would have been to fix it since it wasn't broke when I gave it to you ! read more

Shady area my arse. It's not in a shady area. The railroad and construction companies are over here as well as auto parts wholesale companies. The police station is 2mins up the street. I'm here now getting my windshield replaced from a stone hitching a ride on an 18 wheeler. Paid $150. Sorry there are no flower pots lining the streets. You're in a commercial area so expect commercial vehicles and beaten up streets. They were done in 20mins. I got there at 10am and was out at 10:20am. The staff is friendly and se habla espanol. Ok, so the area seems a bit sketchy but it's the BEST price around and well worth your business. One glorious day I was traveling to the city and a happy little rock was jettisoned towards my windshield from a mamoth dump truck. After a thwack and a crack, it was no longer such a nice day. I called numerous repair shops and no one came near Auto Glass Solutions quote. I had to have my whole windshield replaced on my super cool Nissan Cube and they were about $80 less than any other place! Not only that but I was waiting for a grand total of about 24 minutes! Some schmuck decided to break my passenger side window and break into my truck! After asking around for a great recommendation, all signs pointed to Auto Glass Solution. I called to check if they had the window for my make and model. They didn't but they ordered it and in 2 hours, it arrived! They called me, I came in, and in 30 minutes Auto Glass Solution put in a new window and super vacuumed my truck to remove the glass debris. Fantastic! I could not have asked for more! It's a shame that I spent more time waiting for an officer to file my report than I did having my window changed and truck cleaned! Either way, Auto Glass Solution left me impressed! THIS PLACE IS TRASH. You now the space where your windshield meets your firewall, to better describe: the place where you windshield wipers sit. Well...they don't replace that, although they remove it. The don't replace it, and don't care. They will tear your car up, and will act like it supposed to be that way. The only place in Chicago, or probably the world that doesn't replace, or not damage, that part of your car. read more

Every other place i Cale's wanted a payment update front for the windows and they were able to take care of it rite away. Soon as the window. Came they were on the job. I was driving down the Dan Ryan the other day when this big rock or bolt of some type gets kicked up from a big semi. It seems as it is coming at me in slow motion as it hits my windshield with a loud bang and causes a spiderweb like crack in the windshield of my subaru. I do a quick google search and come up with a fairly cheap quote from these guys who come out to your place and replace your auto glass. I call on a Sunday afternoon and they are ready to send a guy out Monday afternoon. I set up an appointment at 6pm and the the guy comes out an replaces the windshield in about 30 minutes. He does a very professional job and even scrapes off my city sticker and places it on the new windshield. These guys are great and super professional. read more

They charged me $10 less than the lowest quote I'd received at the time. The low price, in combination with their service reviews, pushed me to make the hour-long trip. I went to Auto Glass Solutions today to get my sunroof fixed after it shattered . I was on highway 57 returning home from Memphis when i heard a loud pop & when i looked up I noticed that my Sunroof had shattered.I immediately pulled over got my car & there was a big hole in my sunroof .I got on the phone called my insurance company just to find out that i still had to pay a $500 deductible.I went to a near by gas station in Centrallia ,Il bought some duct tape & the young lady in the store gave me some cardboard to put over it got back on the highway & heard another noise just to pull over & find that the cardboard was gone & the hole had gotten bigger so i pulled over on the next exit to another gas station & my daughter knocked out the entire glass & vaccumed it out & we got back on the highway due to the high wind i had to hold the cover from the sunroof to keep it from flying open again.So i drove 50 miles to Walmart in Effingham,Il got some plastic to cover up the sunroof just to find out that didnt work.So my last resort was to drive 240 miles home with the sunroof open praying that it didnt rain.So my daughter who had her windshield replacement at Auto Glass Solutions 1 year prior & was completely satisfied gave me the number to Auto Glass Solutions.
