Had a cracked glass replaced by the company whose ad says they Repair, they Replace about 8 years ago. Went in a couple of weeks ago because the glue they used was failing, and my rear glass was close to flying out. I did not expect a warranty repair after that long, but at least stand by your ads and repair it. Gave me a song and dance about glues not matching that years glue? Huh? remove all the old adhesive, and reglue. I asked to have a tech look at it. Sales person up front said $800 or go to a Mom and Pop shop. I love both my mom, and pop. I trusted them to care for me, and my well being, to love me. So I left and drove about two miles from them to Auto Glass Xperts. Mom greeted me at the door with a huge smile. Quickly had a couple of Xperts look at my glass and give me the lowdown. Yes, they can Repair, yes they can replace. Both services together less than the one option at Safelite. I had it repaired so I could go on a trip. I am back, and now I just had the new glass installed. Both still cost less than SL. The nerve of them to use the term "Mom and Pop", in such a derogatory fashion and think customers that choose smaller shops might not get the best service over theirs. AGX proved to be the Mom and Pop we all need. No catchy jingle, just savings that fold neatly in your wallet. You are paying for glass and labor, not commercials the other guys don't stand by anyway. Nobody ever likes being in a situation where they have to replace auto glass, but that's where I found myself last week, when someone tossed a bottle through my window of my hatch. Despite the hassle and unexpected expense, I had a very positive experience with Auto Glass Xperts from initial contact through the actual home visit and back window replacement. The woman who assisted me during my intake call was polite and professional, despite it being close to closing time. She explained the entire process to me as well as the charges, and assured me someone would come to my home the following afternoon between 1 and 5. I felt the price was reasonable enough that's I didn't bother to shop around for something better and booked my appointment. Brandon showed up at 1pm. He was very professional, courteous, and detailed oriented. He made sure I understood the process and made recommendations on how to deal with any remaining glass that their machines might not be able to vacuum up. He efficiently took care of my window and did a great job. Not only that but there were no surprise charges or anything like that. He also made sure to explain how long Auto Glass Xperts guaranteed their work and how long I should wait before any washing or tinting of my window. Short version: Great people. Great shop. Great work. Great service. And they handle all the insurance claim stuff for you (a State Farm preferred vendor), which just makes it all so much easier. About four months ago, we arranged for them to replace the windshield on our 2020 MB GLE, due to a badly spreading crack caused by a rock that a big rig kicked up (that was the second one for this car... GRRRR). It took about a week or so, but they were able to get the legit Mercedes factory glass we wanted, and then installed it quickly and as scheduled. The facility is very clean and nicely decorated, with a comfortable waiting area, and a break room that is open to customers. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, when we got a starburst chip caused by yet another rock kicked up by a sloppy truck driver who drifted onto the debris-filled emergency shoulder for no reason (jeez...so aggravating... feels like this car is a magnet for rocks!). So, we called up to see about another replacement windshield (this would've been our third, and those babies are not cheap), but they said they could do a repair instead. And, since we bought the glass from them less than a year ago, the repair would be free! Woohoo! The repair was extremely quick and easy, with no appointment needed. And while the starburst is still visible, it's very low on the passenger side, and the repair should keep it from growing into a full fledged crack. Considering the number of miles we spend roadtripping, the likelihood of yet another rock makes us glad not to have to buy more glass until it's absolutely necessary! They totally did not have to volunteer the free repair info, especially since we were already prepared to buy a new windshield. Cannot emphasize enough how very much we appreciate that level of service and integrity. We are moving out of Texas soon, but if we need glass work done again, and if we are passing even sort of close to the area, we will go out of our way to get the work done here. The windshield replacement came out great and all. But the price I had to pay at the end, was different from what I was quoted. I have my VIN number and was quoted for a windshield repair and a quote for recalibration of camera. Turn out they didn't double check with the manufacturer before the quote. So I didn't need a camera recalibration. But now the quote for just the windshield is costing more because the previous quote was for the special windshield for camera sensors. How is that? Then they proceed with the repair without telling me the quote had changed, after they double check with the OEM. Now I'm paying for their mistake. That's just bad business. I will not be coming back. If you do work with them, just make sure to double check with them if their quote is valid, before they repair. read more

It was small about 21/2 inches long . I was going to try to tough it up my self but was afraid if the result . I called them three days after the fact. Overall great experience. I still gave a 5 even though the incorrect windshield was bought out the first time since the office rep wrote down the wrong car type. But I understand mistakes do happen and gave them a 5 because everyone I communicated with at the company was very nice. I was able to get the initial appointment for a replacement windshield 3 days after contacting them. The technician called 30-40 mins out to provide notice he was on the way. I liked the fact that they brought the windshield to you so you don't have to drive out to their shop. The repair itself took about an hour (on a 2 door Acura).
