This happen many years ago. They did a paint job, but it was horrible because you could see a boundary from the old and new paint. I paid over $1000 for their work. I was so upset that I went to my dealership to get it done right. So I paid another thousand. Live and learn, you get what you pay for. Moreover, even after I showed the shoddy work and asked them to fix it, they refused to do anything. I have a Red Chevy C-10 that I took in to Auto Graphicks to have the Carb adjusted since I put a new on myself and it was not running properly. The motor would diesel on sometimes after turning the truck off was the reason for the new carb. It should have been a simple fix. While talking with Rick the owner about the problem, a bigger carb which he already had on another car in his shop was recommended which I approved. I went and picked the truck up and it was still dieseling on so he said switching out the Stall converter would take care of it so I approved that as well. Still the problem remains. He found tons of stuff that was wrong with the truck and we proceeded to fix them all. New rotor cap and coil. He changed out the springs inside the distributor. He reset the timing. He changed out the transmission filter and gasket. He put a new drive shaft on and yoke because my drive shaft was not balanced. He put a new MSD box in. He change the gas tank and neck since it leaked a little on a full tank. He changes out the spark plug wires and plugs. After the new drive shaft went on I went and pick the truck up and drove it for about 20 minutes before all the transmission fluid leaked out. I took it back he said the shaft was too short and tried to charge me for another drive shaft. I told him I was not paying for something he got cut too short so he took off $100 of my bill which clearly it cost much more than that to get a new one and have it installed. the bills I received for the work were not very detailed so its hard to say what actually cost what. Went and pick the truck up again and this time it broke down after 20 minutes and would not started. Had it towed back and he acted as if I broke something else and did not even apologize for me having broke down to begin with only 20 minutes after picking the truck up from him or the cost of the tow. this time its was the distributor that had now melted so Of course I paid for a new one. I picked the truck up and it was making a really funny noise so back I went and this time the harmonic balancer was almost about to come off so of course I paid to have that fixed. I now have the worse oil leak and transmission leak ever. I paid almost $5,000 to have all this work done and the truck runs worse than when I took it to him and now has an oil leak and transmission leak something terrible. It now smokes really bad when it did not before. After I realized this guy does not really know what he was doing I ended this nightmare of an ordeal before my bill grew to over $10,000. The truck had a very small oil leak that resulted in a few drips on my drive way. The oil stain is now about 3 foot in diameter. Since it now leaks transmission fluid too. I called him a few months later just to say man my truck runs terrible and has since I got it back and the leaks are ridiculous in my drive way. He said he was sorry but did not offer to fix anything at all. My power steering now squeals when you turn the wheel all the way left or right which it did not do before after he fix the harmonic balancer. His response was it is supposed to do that. I told him the truck still diesels on and his response was sometimes cars just do that. I don't think these folks are bad people or anything I just think he is not very good at what he does. Each time I picked my truck up from having something fixed that broke the last time I picked it up, something else would break. Sometimes before I could even pull off the lot. Of course he says all this stuff was about to break anyway and if you let him tell it he saved my life over and over again by fixing something that was just about to kill me. My truck must have been the raggediest truck he has ever seen. Even if that were true it should not still be RAGGEDY after paying $5,000 in repairs. He always has a lot of muscle cars out front. He also has a bunch of pictures of race cars he supposedly built on the walls inside the office. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY ALL THAT. I ran into a guy who had his SS built and painted there which he said ran Months and Months pass schedule that he picked only days ago and as he pulled up all you could hear was squealing from a fan belt. I asked him who did it and he said the same people who did mine. Auto Graphicks on Bonney Road. I am sure there are people who have gone to this place and had everything work out. I am not one of those people. I basically threw $5,000 in the trash by going to this place. I am sure he is fine though since he has my money. He should be ashamed. If anyone in the Virginia beach area sees me and want to see the kind of work they do just wave me down. The truck is Candy Red with Gold Daytons so it cant be missed.
