But I had no idea how much money can be saved by scavenging for auto parts here. First of all, I should let you know I have absolutely zero knowledge about car maintenance and repair. What I do know is that car parts, especially from the dealership, are astronomically priced. "You want to charge me how much for this piece of plastic trim that goes around the windshield? You've got to be kidding me!" I recently bought an older subaru for driving my dirty and wet pug back and forth from the river. I wanted to fix a few things that either didn't work, or were cosmetically impaired. Specifically, I was looking for the lid to the sunglass holder in the roof, some plastic flashing for the windshield, speaker covers for the doors in the backseat, and the electric switches for the window control on the driver's door in the same make/model/year Subaru I'd just purchased. It was a tall order, but would you believe me if I told you I found everything I needed for less than $35? Talk about one-stop shopping! It's so difficult to determine how many stars to award this experience. Yes, I found everything I needed for a bargain. However, this has to be one of the most intimidating, uncomfortable, overwhelming places I've ever been. There is a long line to enter the facility as everyone checks in with staff electronically, has a photo taken, and signs a waiver. There are rows and rows of old, rusty cars sitting up on blocks, as far as you can see, and I'm sure the insurance liability is a nightmare. I can only imagine how many injuries occur in this place each year. While vehicles are organized in lots by make and model, it takes a lot of exploration to find exactly what you're looking for. Many of the cars are picked over, having been stripped of the most popular parts and accessories. Not everyone is as lucky as I was my first time out. There's really no customer service to speak of. There is apparently an inventory, and the staff at the front desk are able to look up specific makes and models, but none of the cars I was directed to were where they said they'd be. So I found aimlessly strolling through the rows and rows of cars to be the best way to find what I was looking for. If you're up for an adventure, looking to save a few dollars, and don't mind spending a few hours with some folks who are definitely a little rough around the edges, Pick-n-Pull is just the place you want to be.

At 2:45pm, the call came while I was in the bathroom - so I missed the call. I went to return the call and was told that I would have to RESCHEDULE the pickup for another day. WHAT????? Seriously? That has to be the MOST ridiculous reason for not picking up my car. ONE MISSED attempt to reach me? For crying out loud. I wasted an entire afternoon waiting for your call, and you tried to call me ONE TIME? Don't bother using PickNPull.

Warning: Avoid Starlite Motor Sports Car Deposit…read moreWithheld and Legal Threat Made I strongly caution against doing business with Starlite Auto Sales. The owner refused to return my $500.00 deposit after the pre-purchase inspection revealed significant undisclosed mechanical and body issues. When I requested the refund, the owner stated, "I would gladly see you in court." Incident Summary (2008 Lexus IS250 AWD): Initial Misrepresentation: I inquired about a Dark Blue 2008 Lexus IS250 AWD and was repeatedly assured by the owner that the vehicle was in "great mechanical working order." I specifically asked if he would let his mother or sister drive it, to which he replied, "yes, it's a great car." Deposit & Inspection: I wired a $500.00 deposit based on these assurances. I then arranged for a pre-purchase inspection (PPI) at K and M Auto, a certified mechanic, which cost me $160.00. Inspection Findings: The PPI clearly contradicted the owner's claims. Key issues included: Inoperable Windows and Sunroof: All windows (except one) and the sunroof were non-functional--a critical safety/comfort defect that was clearly concealed. Body Damage: An obvious dent on the driver's side was omitted from the promotional video and photos. Water Damage: Rust and pooled water were found in the trunk near the spare tire well. Brakes and Tires: Contrary to the owner's claim of "new" tires, the PPI noted issues with the brakes and did not validate the tire claims. Conclusion: The inspection confirmed the owner was deceptive about the vehicle's true condition. When I cancelled the purchase based on these findings, the owner illegally retained my $500.00 deposit. I never want anyone buying a car to be unsafe so, do your pre-Inspection 1st and Never send money to hold. A pre-inspection should be done first. So, a honest review is more costly than court in the long run and there is such a thing called Karma. Karma will take 100000 plus fold so, for the return of a 500.00 deposit to losing long term repeat customers cost more than 500,000 and no referrals. BUYERS DO YOUR PRE- PURCHASE INSPECTIONS

I don't often enough, take the time to write positive reviews unless I've been completely blown away... this is one of those times where I've been completely blown away. I spent a great deal of time researching my used car purchase. I was prepared to drive as far as 3 hours away to get the right car at the right price. Like many people, I loathe the car buying process mostly due to the song and dance you usually have to deal with at the dealership. Even the places who advertise "no haggle buying" still make you run the gauntlet of sales pitches for car add-ons like undercoating, car security systems, higher lending rates they tell you qualify for, low-balling your trade-in, ect. After spotting a perfect car at a really competitive price on line at this place, I stopped in to see it. To "prepare for battle" at the dealership, I got approved for an auto loan at my Credit Union, and was firmly prepared to tell them I was going to sell my old car on Craigslist. Sami (the owner) greeted me and immediately took a mellow, no pressure approach. He asked me a couple of questions about why this car, and then gave me the keys to go on a test drive. The car was everything I was looking for, and at a price below what I was willing to spend; no haggling. Sami treated the entire process like a business transaction, not a sales transaction. He is an excellent sales person, but not in a pushy "used car salesman" way. He simply walks you through the process, trying to make sure you've considered all aspects of buying the new car and selling the old car. He then offered me a price for my trade-in that was within what I was going to ask for in on Craigslist... no, hassles with getting it detailed, fixing the curb scratches on the wheels :/, no dealing with Craigslist shoppers. I could not be more pleased with this entire process. Even after the sale, when I needed an extra key ordered and some other little things, Sami & his staff were very willing to help... I know it seems suspicious to see every review for this place at 5 stars, but just go there and see why they deserve all the praise they get. I will be a customer there forever.

I spoke with Sami, and informed him that I will be there the next day at 11 am. By the time I got there, the lot was locked and I can't find a single person. I called him immediately, and he said that he can't come due to some kind of zoom meeting. So I guess he's not interested in showing me or selling his cars. If you cannot even be there due to an emergency, I think it's fair to say that you should inform your customer or let them know in advance. Essentially he wasted our time to drive all the way out there for nothing. Not to mentioning all his cars are way over priced...
