Boy oh boy. I have a lot to say about this place considering I spent about 6 hours in their tiny lot yesterday. My boyfriend and I drove 12 hours from Tahoe to come and purchase a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. He spoke to Filip over the phone, and after Filip confirmed that vehicle was in excellent condition he put a down payment down and we began the drive up to Portland. He had asked about everything; brakes, tires, clutch, what has/hasn't been replaced, general issues, etc. Filip assured my boyfriend that this vehicle is in great shape. When we finally arrived in Portland, it turns out that it was Filip's day off. No biggie, we were expecting to just sign the final documents and be good to go. We get not even 5 miles away and onto the highway before we notice the car is shaking. We immediately call Filip, who tells us to bring back to PDX motors. Once there, they take the car over to their service center and have us wait. For hours. One of the wheels was bent, and they sent us off the lot like that. Someone came out and accused us of hitting a curb and saying we had been gone for 2+ hours. He also claimed the car had brand new tires (it did not), and that his service team would be "retarded" to send out a vehicle with a bent wheel. We did have an actual certified mechanic with us who was calling this mans bluffs as they came out of his mouth. At this point, we wanted to just walk away but with the paperwork already done and driving 12 hours, we gave them a chance to make it right. They found some "new wheels" (from a previous generation crosstrek, which are a different size) and slapped those on, before noticing some rubbing and stating they were going to put wheel spacers in, which we didn't not want. No one really knew what was going on, and when we finally got to speak to the "boss", he was nice but also didn't really seem to know what to do. It seemed as though this car was not actually ready to sell, and the guy who initiated this sale wasn't even on the property. Anyways, the car finally comes back. The TPS sensors weren't working, and they said they wanted to "get us out of there" so they offered to have us take it to local shop in Tahoe and pay for them to get fixed. Then they "through in" crossbars and roof rack (that the car was pictured with in the original listing and had been removed before we bought it). We take it for one final test drive and the speedometer is malfunctioning. This is now the 3rd time in a single day that the car has left their "service center" with an issue. At this point, it's 7:30pm, we had been driving all night and morning, hadn't eaten, and sat out in the hot parking lot for 5 hours. We turned the car around, brought it back, and asked the two very very nice young men that were shuffling cars around so they could close to get us someone who can get us our deposit and check back. I work in the service industry, and I get that pleasing people is hard, especially in the car world. But this was by the worst experience I've ever had. Filip blatantly lied about the condition of the vehicle. No other employee seemed like they really wanted to help us. We did get his check back (still waiting on his deposit), but both had to miss an additional day of work due to literally being stuck in Portland for 5 hours. Some advice for PDX motors; If you sell a vehicle, be there when the customer is picking it up. I get that everyone needs a day off, but not having our salesmen there was so impersonal. Bottom line is, do your research and don't buy a vehicle from here. read more

I bought a car through PDX Motors a few weeks ago. We got the car home and by the next morning,the clutch system went completely out. I contacted them and told them about the issue. They sent a tow almost an hour a way to pick the car up, and take it down to their shop. They replaced the entire clutch and everything around it for free! They are amazing! It wasn't, unfortunately, but what stuck out to me was that even after I was denied the salesman was willing to talk to me about ways to improve my credit and just the car buying process in general, despite the fact that I wasn't going to be buying a car anytime soon. I had even mentioned getting a personal loan and buying from a private seller if my credit were to improve. I think after it was clear that I wasn't going to be buying anything he was just doing so for the sake of helping a stranger out. Update- after 3 months of ownership. The STI blew the engine that PDX motors replaced after it blew initially. After tearing into the motor, it appears that they reused parts such as oil pump and the heads do not look like they were touched at the time of the short block replacement. I also experienced a coolant leak from the AOS coolant line. I found the hose clamp to be completely loose, not tightened at all, as well as 2 downpipe bolts left loose. I have reached out a couple of times to get the service record of this service to check what they did but have been ghosted unfortunately. While I don't expect any action on the part of PDX motors, at least receiving paperwork for an engine they replaced would be nice. Overall, I have owned this car for about 4 months and it is now going to need a second replacement engine due to their half ass work. After posting about the situation on instagram was I able to get a response. They initially only replaced my engine because I posted a video of the car blown up on the side of the freeway, minutes after buying it. The video received over 800,000 views. I had to post again and tag them to get a service record. The manager of the dealership started going off on me from his personal account. Levon should be fired. Hopefully the more than 1,000,000 views on the videos with them tagged will change how they treat future customers. Good luck to this shitty dealer. read more

All error codes were good but after driving a bit error code came on. They took it and said it was a wire. Fine but after driving a bit again another error code saying the catalytic converter is bad. My son tried calling several times and the manager will never answer. Is it illegal to sell a car with a bad catalytic converter?? I am going to check with whoever I can at the state level and also hire an attorney. They claim they have a good mechanice checking all cars out. I don't think so!!! read more

The car I bought from PDX motors 10 months ago is not a good car. I had to have the water pump replaced last month. The mechanic told me that the water pump fell apart when they took it out. Now it's back at the mechanic shop. Now they're replacing the timing chain and it's components. Right after I bought it there was a rattling in the engine. I went back about a week later and told Jared the person that sold it to me and he said, "It doesn't rattle". But it was rattling. All they did was clean the interior and nothing else. The timing chain is costing $6000 to replace it. What you could improve is, giving me compensation for the timing chain. I know you'll say it was sold as is, but you guys didn't check out the car before selling it to me. I had to have you fix the TPM, replace the Cd player, and the back bumper as well. I appreciate that at least you fixed those things. I won't be buying a car here ever again. read more

DO NOT BUY CARS FROM HERE!!!! They sold me a broken car and offered no help with fixing it. I bought a Subaru from these guys and after getting the car off the lot and driving it around for a day or two, the check engine light came on. (I came to find out that they CLEARED THE CODES FOR THE TEST DRIVE) I tried to work with them to get it fixed and every time they handed it back to me the same issue came up. I went to a real mechanic that was very recommended by my car enthusiast friend, and the service took 2 MONTHS AND $6,300 extra from what I paid. Absolute scam dealership, if I could go back and not buy from this place I would. I asked to talk to the manager and he also argued with me that THE DMV WAS WRONG, but eventually said I could come out and get both my title and a proper Bill of Sale, and theyd even give me gas since I already had to come out once to get the car fixed, and I live all the way out in Beaverton. well, I waited for the guy for almost an hour, and he did finally arrive, and I did get the right bill of sale & title, no gas reimbursement, but whatever I guess. I registered the vehicle no problem after that. Though all was finally well, until shortly after that, my AC went out. This company has been nothing but an absolute headache, and their boss has been nothing but hounding me to change my review, so now that I know what's wrong with the car, HERE YOU GO SIR. Honestly a horrible car company, and they upcharge your car based on the Kelly Blue Book standards. If I could give a zero star review I would, but let's just say this: not only will I never be coming back, I honestly don't want them to try and fix it either, because they already told me their mechanics looked it over, and this is the state it's in. if you value your money, and want a good car, buy it somewhere else. The guys here do come off as very friendly and trusting, and they did work on us to give us a better price, but I've had issue after issue after issue with this car. And always very expensive fixes. When we came to pick it up after it had been raining, the attendant offered to put gas in the car, but later we realized it had probably been to air out the car and remove the humidity caused by a leaking sunroof. Maybe I'm wrong in that accusation, but it seems unlikely that they could be unaware of this issue. That was only the beginning. I've dealt with oil leaks and more, and I've had the car less than 8 months. I wouldn't recommend you buy from here; you're likely to get a lemon. Dealerships are more expensive, but it's well worth it for your peace of mind and your wallet in the long term. read more
