I also have Rains feet trimmed like a Poodle show dog.. for hygiene reasons and footing on slick floors. Prior to going to the Bark'N Lot I used the services of "Happy Pouch professionals in Kalispell for a year. They did an excellent job, just like Meagan does, but, it wasn't the $7.00 they charge for nail trims that sent me looking elsewhere, it was listening to Rain screaming at the top of her lungs repeatedly!!! I also took my daughter's Dachshund *Rocco with us, the sweetest most trustworthy mini dapple you can imagine, he rolled his lips, snared while having his nails terms. Happy Pooch groomers told both of our dogs to STOP BEING DRAMATIC! Honestly if you want to see with your own eyes how happy Rain and Rocco are to see Megan.. just show up at our standing monthly appointments!!

Randy was extremely warm/receptive, from the moment he walked out to greet us at the car- to every detail noted on Anya's "report card" - each and every interaction on the phone- he made both my pup and I feel so comfortable right off the bat. The grooming was wonderful as well (we wanted her hair around her eyes and mouth slightly shorter and they were so sweet to do a touch up the next day!) I recently used this Leilani person at this grooming business who was very rude and frankly mean to…read moreboth me and my dog. She told me never to bring my dog back because she is mean and aggressive and had ripped a muzzle off. I had taken the dog there for baths and nails 2x before and there didn't seem to be a problem. She understood the dog was a rescue and would require patience and understanding. She had let me go in the back the prior 2x while she did her nails. But this 3rd time was very different! After I dropped the dog off at 745 AM, I no sooner got home and she was calling me to come get my dog. When I arrived, the dog was soaking wet in a cage. When I asked what happened, she cut me off and said I was being rude to her and "if I tell another groomer, she is kind and gentle, you're wrong; she is mean and aggressive." Then she said she would try to dry her if I helped, so I went into the grooming area where she proceeded to tell me her insurance would not allow me back there! I guess the first 2 times, I was allowed, this time I was not. She said she would try to dry her, which she did. She put the muzzle on her and attempted to cut her nails. When I asked her why she wasn't drummeling them as she had done the prior 2 times, she said "do you want me to finish this or do you just want to leave?' I never said anymore. The woman was rude to me and frightened my dog. She had long claw-like nails and told me that my dog has "got to act like a normal dog and get up on my table." My dog is a shelter rescue dog who had been in a shelter for 2 years. When I left there, I asked "so she can't come back here?" She said "no she can't" I guess I was so shook up at 8 am in the morning, I didn't know what to think because my dog had been there 2 other times, so I figured she was having a bad day and took it out on us! And the dog needs to have a bath and nails done so I didn't know what to say. I questioned what my dog and I had done the rest of the day. I guess I felt intimidated and now I know she was gaslighting me. This was a horrible experience, and I would not recommend anyone take any kind of an animal to her. I have since found a wonderful groomer who is patient and kind to both me and my dog. Like my new groomer said, some dogs are paw shy, but you just have to work with them. My dog now does not shake and act frightened as she did with the prior groomer.

**Extremely Disappointed and Concerned About Safety Practices**…read more I had taken my 9-month-old Rottweiler to The Dog Club for several months, trusting that he was in a safe and professionally managed environment. Unfortunately, I later learned that the owner had knowingly allowed a highly reactive--borderline aggressive--Sheltie to interact with the general dog population for over two years. I first became aware of this dog's unstable behavior during a Saturday class led by one of the trainers, and I had hoped the situation was being responsibly managed. It was not. Eventually, I received a call notifying me that my pup had been involved in an "altercation." What actually happened was far more serious. The aggressive Sheltie had lunged at another dog, rebounded into my Rottie, and when my dog tried to set a boundary, the Sheltie escalated. My dog was left traumatized and had visible scabs on his neck after the encounter. As is often the case, the larger dog was unfairly blamed. The fact that this Sheltie had a long history of reactivity--and was still being allowed to roam freely among other dogs--is completely unacceptable. Using the general dog population as a "buffer" for this Sheltie's behavior was reckless and dangerous. Most reputable daycares would never allow this dog to remain in group settings, let alone for two years. To make matters worse, when I met with the owner to express my concerns, she took absolutely no accountability. Her proposed "solution" was to isolate my Rottie behind a gated area where he could watch other dogs play, while staff would spend one hour a day with him--an arrangement she admitted was also being used for the Sheltie. In other words, my well-adjusted, social dog was being punished for defending himself against an unstable dog who should never have been in group play in the first place. The Dog Club failed my dog, and I would strongly caution other dog owners--especially those with large breeds--to think twice before trusting this facility with their pets' well-being. The owner herself even stated that her staff cannot handle my Rottie as he is "too Strong". That should probably be put in her advertisement then!

I have taken my dogs here for a few years, both for boarding and daycare. The staff has always been…read morenice, and I fully trusted them to care for my dogs. Recently I took them in, and when the webcams came on, I saw that one of my my dogs had an extra collar on. I called to make sure it wasn't a shock collar, and was assured multiple times that the collar was not capable if shocking, it only beeps or vibrates. I was also told the collar would only be on her for short periods of time. I was watching the cam extra, to make sure my dog was not reacting badly to the collar, and saw the video attached. My dog (white/red on right hand side) was just standing there, no bark or anything, and obviously the collar either shocked or vibrated. My dog goes spinning out of view, and is still losing it a bit when she comes back in view. The employee takes the collar off and puts it back on a few seconds later. I called immediately and this time the owner answered. I let her know I was on my way to get my dogs and told her to have the collar taken off immediately. She asked what kind of collar my dog had on, and I told her it looks like a shock collar and asked if they use them. AGAIN I was told, this time by the owner, they don't use shock collars, they only vibrate. When I got there to pick up my dogs, she stated that what I saw online was just the first time the collar had vibrated (this was at 1:00, and she had been wearing it since at least 10 am when the cameras turn on) and that's why she had a strong reaction. When I asked to see one of the collars, they finally admitted the collars do have the capability to shock, they just "don't use that function" the lead trainer came down and tried to explain that they had taken the collar off multiple times, but had to put it back on again. Unfortunately, I know this not to be true. The only time they took that collar off was to adjust it. He admitted the collar was put on shortly after they got there, which was somewhere around 8 am. Whether the collar shocked my dog, or just vibrated, I know that the owner, lead trainer, and the lady that is usually at the front desk, all lied to me, and they used an e-collar without letting me know, didn't remove it when my dog had a strong reaction to it, and they used it in a manner that is outside their own policy, as the owner herself told me they should only be on for short periods. This situation would have been easily solved with a little honesty during my first call. Unfortunately, my dogs won't be returning, and I would never again reccomend this business for anyone who needs trustworthy care for their dogs.

He had been attacked by a few dogs and having him around other dogs was almost impossible. He was scared of other dogs and people and was labeled and an aggressive dog. I messaged JPK9 thinking I would be turned away. Within minutes I had a reply of Yes, we work with dogs like him, no problem at all. I signed Icka up for the two week boarding training. Drop off was smooth. There was detailed communication on what was needed supply wise as well as what I needed to work on to prepare myself and Icka for a smooth transition. Every day there were videos posted so I could watch his progress, and progress there was. He was heeling, sitting, laying down and staying. HE WAS WALKING WITH OTHER DOGS CALMLY WITH HIS TAIL HELD HIGH. Daily walkes and so much time put into him. He went into stores and was asked around other people and dogs. When it was time for me to pick him up from training I got a class myself on what to to and how to continue his progress, how to work as a team and be the dog handler he needed me to be. Right after pick up we jumped into a group class and practiced everything we have learned. They saved Icka from living his life locked away from everything. They gave him his confidence back and showed me how to continue his growth as a secure dog. I would 100% recommend JPK9 Montana for anyone's dog. They truly care and dedicated their time and knowledge into the training. We look forward to attending life time classes with the help and support from this amazing group of people. We booked a different groomer this time, and right away she refused to groom my 50 lb shepherd mix--first because of shedding (which is exactly why we made the appointment), then claiming my 11-year-old dog was "too old." When I picked her up--after paying a high price--it didn't look like she'd been properly bathed. She still had visible dander, smelled like she'd just been sprayed, and her feet weren't cleaned. It's hard to believe she received the full service. Before leaving, I saw my shepherd mix in the grooming area, calmly being combed on the table. Later, the manager told me she was "too difficult" and wouldn't allow grooming--even though she hadn't even been bathed. That didn't match what I witnessed. Between the poor service, lack of honesty, and overall treatment, I won't be returning. I'll be taking this complaint to upper management. I wouldn't trust this store or that groomer with my dogs.

It made me very nervous to take my pups to someone new, as they've only ever gone to one groomer back in San Jose. The ladies were super nice, and I am pleased to say they did a great job and followed my instructions to just trim their little feet, and not their entire body. Upon picking them up, they both seemed happy, which matters! They are clean, smell good and they did a great job brushing them out. Our show dogs beautiful coat was completely shaved off which they did not have permission to do. They claim our dog was matted which was a lie. They most likely washed her without brushing her out first which can cause matting. Bouviers are supposed to have the ears shaved tightly and they left longer hair on the ears and forgot to trim her nails. Basically they butchered our dogs grooming and now we will have to cancel all her spring dog shows because it'll take 6+ months to grow her coat back! Unacceptable. I cannot recommend this place and will not be returning.

In reality they did me a favor - their shop is too small/crowded for intake of dogs at once - parking is dangerous and I was even side swiped in the parking lot of puddles and mud - I would not recommend Happy Pooch Professionals LLC to anyone - not worth just "getting you by".
