DO NOT USE THIS LYING THIEF..!!! First of all I'm a 100% disabled Veteran on a set budget.I went in to get my interlock and they charged me $500, it took 5 hours for them to set it up and install it, and want to charge $55 to calibrate it..???! WTH..!! I moved here from AZ where I had my interlock originally and it was $250 for set up and install, and $18 for calibration. On top of that it took 30min.....Good honest people I would recommend 100%. This guy in Elko has so many lawsuits against him for his thievery and lies and now he's got another one coming with Veterans court and services because this POS fgt mis wired all my extra features I put on my 3500 LBZ Duramax. One of them being my train horn. They fkd it up and then charged me $337 for 2 hrs labor ya right..!! I told the poor secretary upfront, (that has to face his customers he rips off) he broke my train horn and he's gonna fix it for free...She called him and he was yelling at her to video everything and call the cops to report a stolen vehicle.... I left in my truck, got a call from police stating if I don't pay I'm gonna be charged. I told the cop he can take me to court. Cop said I'm still gonna face charges with the State. The cop knows all about this cs and said I would have to pay and then sue him....WOW, the law is here to protect who..!!??? He broke my sht, reports me for taking my truck back without payment...duh.!!.He lied and stole my money..!! I'll be pressing charges after I get back from my Sister's service in AZ. If I didn't have to do this trip I wouldn't had paid and I would've already filed charges for everything I can think of..!! I'm getting with others he's ripped off and putting a lien on his house and other assets before he files for bankruptcy AGAIN for like the 6th time..!! Dudes obviously on drugs and spun out all the time. He'll also comes up under "Smart Start Interlock" where I'll be putting this same post.... I'm 47 and I've never dealt with such an dishonest lying thieving loser in my life with ANYTHING...!!! I can't believe this guy is still here in this small town. He owes so much money to all his vendors, and the big vendors won't do business with him anymore cause he never pays. If you've been ripped off by this guy get a hold of me and we'll start staking more evidence on this clown. Best shop in Elko definitely worth going to them they know what they are doing and for good prices

Sunday we stopped outside of Elko on I80 with a bad front vibration. While waiting for AAA to arrive I tried to call every auto shop in town even though they were all closed. Beto the owner from Auto Pros was the only one to return my call. He met us at his shop and diagnosed the problem that afternoon and was able to order the part to repair the car by Monday noon. Came in with an oil leak on my 93 Chevy truck turned out to be a oil cooler line. These guys replaced the line with a new one and the leak was still there new hose was defective. They replaced the defective hose with a new one and problem was solved. These guys stuck with it and got me back on the road and my truck was fixed and they gave me a voucher for a car wash because they felt the repairs took too long. In March 2nd of 2017, I sent my 2007 Toyota Sequoia with VIN # 5TDBT44A77S278363 to Auto Pros for a remote starter installation. I paid $350 plus $20 tips for the installation with an expectation of functioning remote start with power lock option as what we agree in the conversation. But till the date of the letter, I am not able to get the remote starter working properly. On September 15th 2017, the remote starter was even disabled by a technician in Auto Pros because he said he has done about my car. the business will concentrate on detailing, muffler work and oil changes. not on remote starter. This is a saga. And it's still ongoing. My car died in September 2018 while on I-80 and I had it towed here after seeing supposedly good reviews on Yelp. After finding out I needed an entirely new motor, I left the car there until I figured out what I wanted to do. Less than a week later, I decided having a new motor put in was my best option. The owner, Beto, left it up to me to locate and purchase said motor to have sent to the shop. That should have been my first red flag. Who gives the customer that kind of responsibility? Well, as the story goes, I pay $1200 out of my own pocket an engine eventually ends up at the shop. Beto thinks it may not be a perfect fit and and has many issues trying to get it installed. Let it be known that at this point I had been promised it would be ready by a certain date and the day I show up, the mechanic is still tinkering with it, to no avail. I truly am understanding and say I will have to schedule another time (keep in mind, I live 600 miles away) to come pick it up. He also makes me pay $1200 in labor for his mechanic who spent "countless hours working on it." Fast forward a month and a half later and still no luck. He claims to have had every mechanic in Elko give it a try and NO ONE could figure out what was wrong. The next step is now for HIM to locate and purchase (with my money, $1300, up front) a NEW engine for him to give another go with. At this point, I've paid $3700 of my hard-earned money with still NO CAR. He also still has the first engine, that he'd like to keep on hand, "just in case" he may need parts from it. (It's already beyond the warranty timeline for me getting my money back for the first engine at this point, and I'm already feeling hardcore screwed over). So the second engine arrives sometime in January 2019 and after weeks of not hearing from him, I take it upon myself to call to get a status update and only then do I find out that this second engine "has a bad head" and has to be sent back and a new engine procured. So, MORE WAITING while new engine gets ordered. Fast forward a month and a half later with still NO COMMUNICATION on their end until I call to find out what's going on. Guess what? No engine ever arrived. A week after this, after ME calling back again, he tells me that engine got lost in the shuffle; just disappeared. I'm starting to think I'm getting taken for a fool. Meanwhile, he still has FIRST engine, which I make him send back ASAP (he tries to wrangle shipping money out of me, which I adamantly resist) and engine is sent back. After communication with the company I purchased this first engine from and trying to explain the situation, they agree to give me a full refund, only if the engine is in the same condition as when sent out. Guess what?! Engine arrives back to seller and the engine is DEAD - they can't get a read out of it; it has no head pressure. So right there, I'm denied the $1200 I was desperately expecting to get back. Fast forward to July 2019 (10 months from originally having car towed there). I get a call that the car should be ready. I call several times to make sure it will be ready, because it involved me booking a flight and securing a ride from SLC to get to Elko to pick it up. After much effort, I arrive at the shop and guess what? Beto is conveniently out of town. I did not get a chance to ask necessary questions and ensure that he can give me any warranty of his work. (I didn't even get 500 miles away until the "new" water pump failed + $600 repair upon getting home). From that point on, he's ignored any effort to get in touch, including after me sending the bad parts and repair bill to him after a half-assed offer of potentially giving me a refund on at least the parts and labor of second new water pump. This is really only half the story, but my post is too long. Currently (as of July 2020) I'm out $5000+ and left with a car with a bad head gasket that is out of commission. THIS ENTIRE SITUATION HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE and has drained me of money, time and hope. Please avoid this shop like the plague. I sadly still have hope Beto will do the right thing and pay me back the $$$ I am owed. read more

Was very happy that they took me in on a Friday call in. I was having to go into the mountains with my service truck and my brakes started rubbing metal on metal since the brake pads wore down. They took me in and got the brakes and rotors delivered there in a short time. I was back on my way soon and was able to complete my job. Later though, 2 months later, I was having an oil change and the mechanic there said my front pads were almost wore out and they could replace them. I thought that they were scamming me for extra labor and dollars (since they were new only 2 months prior.). I ignored him and went on about my business. Just a few days layer I here that familiar sound of metal on metal. I was near an auto parts store so bought new pads. When home I removed the wheels and found the outer pads wore at an angle and one side metal on metal. On inspection I find big words on the pads "Inner and Outer" unfortunately the one that was marked inner was the one on the outside that was wore at an angle. I contacted them by email directly that same day, no response now for 30 days. I just used their website to send them another email today and will also call them today. I hate to talk directly to people because I have a quick temper and if they dispute my claim or get rude I may say things that I shouldn't. I was hoping to get this worked out via email. I will see how it goes on the call, but so far I am less than satisfied with the over all service I received from them. Not the brakes being in wrong so much, people make mistakes and a person has to start somewhere when learning and mistakes are part of learning, but the lack of response to my emails. I gave it a three star for that reason but can move it to one if I don't get some restitution. Well, the phone call turned this into a one star. I called the owner and he said he had to talk to his wife but that he couldn't imagine that his mechanics would make a mistake like that. I said he didn't have to imagine it because he did make a mistake like that. He said that he chooses to trust his mechanics and with an attitude like that I am not doing anything, do what you have to do. Then he hung up on me. Looks like I have a challenge. read more

If you're a traveler with car trouble, you've got to come to Auto Pros. Impeccable service, very quick diagnostics and sourcing of parts, and the most reasonable prices I've probably ever paid for car repairs. I had a flashing break light on i80 while passing through Elko, stopped in at 10:30am, and am heading out by noon with a new shock. The diagnostics were quick (and free!), the mechanic figured out the problem right away, listened to what I wanted, and told me exactly what he was going to fix. Very honest guys who do good work and are happy to get to know you while you wait. The part they needed arrived 10 minutes after they called, and they got my car done and road tested before lunch. Car trouble on long road trips can be really scary, but these guys are great, know their stuff, and won't take advantage. They even took care of my dog while we waited! Could not recommend these guys highly enough, if you have car trouble, Auto Pros are your people. read more

Horrible customer service EVERY TIME. At first I thought the guy owner was having a crazy day, because I understand hectic days make me moody as well, but after speaking with the same guy a second time on a totally different day it became clear to me how rude and not customer service friendly he is. Not only did I wait patiently for two hours in his shop, which mind you had no heater.. main door and side shop door was kept open.. and my poor baby boy got a cold that night although I had covered him with extra blankets while in the shop, but after they were finally done installing the inner lock device the owner guy went on saying he doesn't get paid enough to do that work and to never ever call his shop about it, to always refer to Smart Start. I've read they get paid $7 per installation and they do this as "charity" work.. yet the customers get treated like crap. Yup charity work at it's finest. So when I did call Smart Start they told me it was something Auto Pros had to do.. I don't wanna deal with this rude person! He truly just places a bitter taste in your mouth and life is to short to deal with unhappy, rude people. I don't understand how this place is still running. The guy owner is awful. read more

Beto is amazing! We broke down in Elko, traveling from Denver to Sacramento last week. It was a Saturday evening, after 7:00 and our tow truck driver, Tim arranged to store our car (filled with products) inside the locked garage at Auto Pros. Beto met us to secure the car. He left his home, after hours and had his 2 year old son with him. He then came in early on SUNDAY and went to work on my car. He worked from 9:00 - 1:00 - even talking to my Denver mechanic trying to determine the reason for the engine failure. Voila - at 1:00 we had a repaired car and were able to make it to Sacramento in time for the conference! This guy and his garage should go to the top of the list for Elko, Nevada and the surrounding area. Thank you again for your hard work and integrity.
