Update: The owner reached out to me after looking into what happened. He has offered to make it right and the truck is currently back in their shop actually being repaired now. While mistakes happen, a good owner that will correct the mistakes is priceless! THAT is good business! As a current deisel owner, having a local repair shop that can be trusted for any future needs is immensely valuable to me. I will update further after I get the truck back. I am thrilled to have a running truck soon! Thank you, Jeremy! In my opinion, Neff's services were costly, inaccurate and took to long. I bought a 2018 Ram 1500 Big Horn EcoDiesel with a 30-day warranty in Las Vegas and drove it home to Elko. The truck started to experience coolant loss and overheating during the drive home, showing the tell-tell signs of a cracked EGR Cooler as there was zero visible leaks. The dealership directed me to take the truck to Neff's instead of trying to get the truck back to Las Vegas. About a week later, Neff's submitted a repair order to the dealership for a coolant system flush and heater core back flush which the dealership paid Neff's to be completed. This along with a license plate light install came to $1,360. Unfortunately, I was left out of these "repair" details. The next day after picking up the truck, thinking it was repaired, it was still experiencing the same coolant loss and I took the truck back into Neff's that day. It took Neff's over 2 more additional weeks to diagnosis the EGR Cooler failure bringing us to the very end of the 30-day warranty. Since the dealership had already paid Neff's for a "repair" the dealership is no longer willing to cover any further repairs. While most of my dilemma is from the dealership not honoring their warranty, Neff's significantly added to the dilemma by initially misdiagnosing the issue (Neff's tech admitted that verbally over the phone to me) and taking so long to correctly diagnosis the issue. The quote from Neff's for EGR Cooler replacement is also about $1,000 more than Elko Motors (the Ram Dealership) quoted. Thought that might be valuable information as well. Perhaps, if Neff's had accurately diagnosed the EGR Cooler failure initially and in less time than 3 weeks, my unfortunate circumstance might have had a better outcome. What makes me most upset is how common and known the EGR Cooler issue is with this specific truck and how long it took Neff's to diagnose it. Oh yeah, Neff's also tried to charge me for a second diagnostic charge when I picked up the truck. read more

100 % honest and diligent in repairs. Neff has worked on our truck since 2021. One DEP pump failed, and they warranted it 100%. We had one other item that required warranty, and they worked us right in and made it right. The Neff team went above and beyond to get us on the road. Thank you. read more

She was more than friendly extremely helpful gave us several numbers of different shops to call. Rear and went out on my truck. It was tied up in Neff's shop for nearly two months. I was warned to really check out the work done. Most people I talked to in Elko had negative things to say about this shop, but I was stranded and felt I had no options. When I finally got my truck back I had made it to Salt Lake and found that the inner rear tire was flat. The valve stem was broken off??? It could have had deadly results. Took my truck for a simple tranny flush and tire rotation. They tried to get me to ok a front end alignment which I knew I did not need. When I picked up my truck the alarm was going off all 4 tires where extremely low. I had to go straight to a gas station and air them up. The following day I took off for a 3 hour trip. I did not make it. The tranny slammed into a lower gear on the Interstate. I pulled over and had to have it towed. They had over filled the transmission. I was stuck out of town for three days. When I called to explained what happened the owner hung up on me. I called back and explained to an employee what had happened and that the owner should treat people better. He then called me and apologized. But did not take responsibility. Stated we followed the trucks amount of fluid. He then stated they could not get the 13th quart in. I guess because I am a woman he figured I was to stupid to understand what they had done. He never called me back after I asked him to cover the rental car and motel room. Coming back from a funeral my truck broke down in Elko. Towed it to Neff's on a Wednesday night and they worked me in on Thursday.Had me up and running and on my way home. I appreciate the understanding they had of our situation and the compassion to get its back on the road running as smooth as it did brand new. read more

Had a truck go into limp mode on a Saturday while I was coming through Elko. Was able to get to Neff's and Jeremy came right in to help, even though they were closed that day. I posted a review a few weeks ago and since then I have realized they actually managed to break more than they fixed. Every mount on the radiator is broken and it was not like that before and I don't even know why they opened the f*cking hood to replace the drive shaft except to find more ways to work me over. They charged for hood struts about half way in "for safety"... I would wager money they dropped the hood on the board they used to support it before that and broke all the f*cking radiator mounts and then tried to get me to voluntarily replace the entire cooling system. Run, don't walk, from these crooked lying clowns. read more

If I could give this business a no star rating I would. It has been at least 3 years now from the approximate time that the owner Jeremy told me that while replacing one of my injectors on my Cummins that they put a bore scope down through that tiny hole into the cylinder and inspected it. What he told me was the cylinder was badly scored. I asked what my options were and he told me a new long block. He also told me his technician was so concerned about my motor that he wasn't even comfortable moving the truck out of the bay. I told him to put a new injector in it. I'm still driving this truck to this day with no issues and zero blow by. I felt the business was being shady. I do not recommend using them. read more

Traveling through and had a fuel leak on our duramax. Went there when they opened and they put us to the front of the line to have us out before noon. No extra charges for being out of towners or emergency situation. Very pleased with the price. Would highly recommend read more

We had a heavy duty diesel truck engine go in and Neffs did a top end rebuild. Within a couple of months we were already having issues of it using oil beyond normal rates or even break in rates. We contact Neffs and they say to bring it in again and they will take a look into it. After about a week, we are notified to come pick it up and that they were unable to diagnose why it's using oil. Truck comes back to us, we continue monitoring its oil consumption and adding as needed which was regularly. Truck begins losing power, to the point where it barely pulls even small inclines. Truck is taken to Idaho diesel shop on a lowboy trailer. Shop contacts us within a day to notify that engine has blown. This is all within a 6 month period of top end rebuild. I'm not pointing fingers but seems something should have been found on diagnosis by Neffs. read more

Jeremy helped me resolve my (house attachment bolt gouging into trailer tires) problem quickly and affordably - I wished I had time to get some work done on my truck! This last time I dealt with him I was looking for a simple gasket, no place in town had it in stock. I was stuck in Elko when my truck would crank but not start one morning after a cold night. I called Neff's and asked if they could help out - they said they would not be able to get to it until the next day. I had it towed there that afternoon. The next day I called them around noon and they said they would not be able to look at it until the afternoon. I heard nothing from them and stopped by right before they closed. They still hadn't looked at it. The next day I heard nothing from them, so I called them around 11. they were just looking at it and said it started right up. They could not find anything that might have caused it to not start and had no working theories. They charged me $250. I see a lot of reviews that say they are quick and fair with pricing - that was the opposite of my experience. read more

I was over in Elko for the Ruby Mountain balloon festival and as one of the pilots, had an issue with my Ford F-350 6.0, a bad injector and they slipped my rig in front of other jobs to get it in and done. The worst service, 100 % dishonesty,bad work ethic and irresponsability.I sent my pickup and they did not guarantee the big amount I paid for the work done.Later when I complained they sent me a sarcastic ,ridiculous note blaming me for the problem.I will continue to travel to Twin Falls,Idaho for my pick services. read more
