This review was on Google reviews. Now Auto Save Google reviews is MIA. I am changing my 5 Star review to a 1 Star review from 7 years ago. They have gone way downhill. My last balance and tire rotation. They didn't torque my lug nuts to spec. Two broke off and the other 3 were loose, after 1463 miles. Fact is all four wheels had lug nuts that needed to be tightened up. No excuse for this. This could have been life threatening, Think about driving 70 Mph on the interstate and your wheel comes off !!! Sad thing is this wasn't the first time with them, two years ago one lug nut came off after a rotation / balance... this is the third time in less than a month that I have experienced problems. I am trying to be patient but I hadn't ew wipers installed this week. I never turned them on until I left the bank because it had started to rain. As soon as the wipers came on the blades on the drivers' side came loose and got tossed up and went under my wiper arm . I called and told them what happened. These were only on the car for a couple of days. I thought what would have happened if I had been on the interstate and this would have happened. I could have caused an accident. Chad told me that they clip on until you hear a click. Obviously no one who installed the wiper blades never heard the click. I would not be so upset but three differnt problems in a month is almost more than I can stand read more

I hate the fact you can not make a appointment. First come first served. I left my car with them once on a Friday and didn't get it back until Monday. You can expected a few greasy hand prints along with some snot all over your steering wheel. I never went back. read more

I have to give two stars only because Billy tried, but here is the story. I brought in my truck, just self serviced it, changed plugs, wires, and a few other things, but it started a shudder while driving down the road after my garage tree attempt. After days of trying to figure it out I tossed in the towel and took brought it here, the problem seemed beyond my capability. They kept it a few days, two weeks in total, trying to figure out what was going wrong with it. They replaced several sensors I had already replaced, sometimes you get a bad aftermarket, but that did not solve it. They replaced the computer to the tune of over a thousand dollars, and that did not resolve it. The finally determined that the Timing chain needed replacing for another $600 bucks... Well after spending over $1,500 with them, I told them No and took the truck back, still with the exact same problem I had before. It was not fixed one single bit. After a few more weeks of trying things myself, double checking everything. I finally found the problem, one of the brand new plugs I had put in was apparently bad, cylinder 7 was not firing at all.. You could not tell it on idle or when you rev'd it up due to the cam in the truck. and the computer generated codes that seemed totally unrelated, crank shaft sensor fault, which was replaced. I went sensor by sensor, plug by plug, injector by injector, plug wires, to find the issue. When I ohm'd out the plug, it was open between the connection and tip, I guess the resistor in it when bad. So in the end, a $3 spark plug cost me over $1,500 with Auto Save of Prattville. I write this review because this is something that they should have figured out rather than tossing expensive parts at it. If you want a shop that is going to take the time to diagnose the problem before they toss expensive parts at it, then avoid this shop. Lesson learned. read more

I have been doing business with this company for several years now and always had good service up until the past six months. However, the owner appears to have changed the way he does business and treats customers. He no longer stands behind his work. I am unsure what his problem seems to be. I paid nearly $1,000 for a major auto repair on my truck a few months ago. On my way home from the initial repair, I had to turn around and take it back as I knew right off the bat there was a problem. I ended up taking my truck back five times and the repair was never corrected. After only a few months, another major repair was needed. The owner assured me the estimate was going to be "free". When he found out I was not going to spend another $1,800 on a truck that was not even worth that amount of money, my "free" estimate all of a sudden became $204. If all you need is VERY BASIC auto maintenance, such as an oil change or a new battery, they can do that with no problem. Anything else, find you another place because it is not happening here. Run, run, run! read more

While traveling from Birmingham to Baton Rogue in the 100 degree + heat, we had an RV tire to blow out. We waited about 30 minutes for roadside assistance. They arrived and changed the blow out with our spare to the tune of $115. We were grateful. We drove about 15 minutes and 2 RV tires on the opposite side blew out (totally devastating). We unhooked the RV from our truck and set out to find a tire dealer. We called several tire shops and even WalMart tire center. No one had what we needed except Auto Save in Prattville. NOT only did they answer the phone courteously but they located the proper tires, gave us excellent directions to their location, and a price that couldn't be beat. What a blessing. But, there's more. They loaned my husband a 3 ton floor jack and impact wrench to get the blown out tires off to put a new set on. God certainly has angels at this place. We are so very blessed to have met the staff here and pray that they have continued success and their blessings are 100 fold. read more

Took my car in and they diagnosed one thing to a tune of $1200. Decided to take it for a second opinion somewhere else. Diagnosis was not the same as Auto Save said and the fix was less than $300. Saved over $900 by getting a second opinion. I believe my problem would have still existed after Auto Save's repair and would have cost me more money. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more
