Please note that this is the first time I've ever had my car detailed, so I don't know have anything to compare it with. I have a dog. Sometimes the dog is muddy, or sandy, or both. I also have a bad habit of knocking over coffee cups in the car. Between the two, my pretty blue car was getting really, really stinky. I called Auto Shine on a Thursday. They came and picked my car up the next day (no extra charge), deep-cleaned everything, then picked me up so I could retrieve my car and pay a very reasonable $109 for the service. The car is very, very clean. The upholstery on the seat that took the brunt of the coffee-spilling is not exactly like brand new, but if you didn't know to look you would not see any gross stains. The nooks and crannies don't have crud in them. Etc. My only complaint is that the car reeks of cleaning/buffing chemicals, and we're not talking the pleasing aroma of Pine Sol. It's been a week, and the stink is fading, but I still go "ew, this is probably toxic" whenever I get into the car. Before I go back, I'll definitely be asking whether one part of the process is responsible for the strong smell. I'm hoping it's the dashboard polish, because that's totally skip-able. read more

The stomach flu came to our house this week, or, rather, it came to our car. Yaaay. I did what I could, but after an hour it became clear to me it was time to bring in the big guns, and Auto Shine was recommended to me. They came and got my car the next day, worked their magic on the interior, and brought it back the same day. It was thoroughly de-flu'ed and smelled like new, via an ionizing machine that breaks down smells. Thank goodness! Haz-mat Nightmare on Wheels is back to my lovely little car. read more

I've taken a couple cars here over the years and they have always done a meticulous job. The cars looked really great and it seems the price was fair. I had some chrome (or chrome looking) trim that they did not touch. He did tell me up front they may not be able to do anything about it, but it seems like something could have been done. Woman who called back insisted that she just had received my call 3 minutes ago and was rather indignant when confronted about lack of timely response. Too bad, guess they don't need business. Later owner called & apologized saying he would like to make things right. He had needed to have a non-employee cover for him while he had a medical issue & that he had just changed phone providers which is why there was a problem in receiving my message. UPDATED REVIEW: 12/21/16 According to Pat from Auto Shine Detail, they could not perform the detail I was expecting on my vehicle and unfortunately was a rushed job. Pat responded to my review, whom I got in touched with. He kindly offered to do a full work on my exterior and interior of my vehicle. The exterior detail was a lot better. The body, wheels, headlights, taillights and exterior trims are looking polished than ever. They have also fixed the runny grease inside of my vehicle and did a thorough wiped down. All of the missed spots were thoroughly cleaned and I am pleasantly surprised of the detail service this time around. REVIEW: 12/14/16 My car dealership arranged my car to be detailed with Auto Shine Detail(ASD). According to my car dealership ASD we're going to perform a interior and exterior detail. Btw, my car is brand new as I had just purchased it but we were given a complimentary detail thanks to our salesman at the dealership! On the day of picking up the car, we noticed right away the stench/smell of the interior. It was like a "wet damp rag that was used multiple times and left in an enclosed room" smell. Armorall was applied all over my dashboard and all over my car. As a result, my steering wheel was greasy and slippery to touch. Even my all weatherproof mats were greasy. They missed behind my steering wheel which was very noticeable. Parts of the rims were not thoroughly washed and wiped. There were little dirt or crumbs(not sure where it came from) still wedge in between the leather seats on the back passenger and this oily residue(which I think may be the dressing used on the interior) were leaking through the vents of my AC. Windows were streaky, gas and door jams were untouched. The only thing that was did correctly were the carpets as it was vacuumed thoroughly. According to the dealership, they didn't do a final wipe down or touched anything on the inside as it was solely by Auto Shine Detail. Overall, I am very disappointed with the detail performed and honestly I would rather do it myself the next time my dealership offers this "car detail" service unless it is performed by professional car detail technicians. read more

I am so happy that Pat and his team were able to take my car in quickly. Something happened in my car, and it was soaking wet. I have no idea where all the liquid came from, but it was clear that my attempts at triage were not successfully stopping the mildew. I needed to get this car taken care of before something started growing in it. Pat asked if he could keep my car for couple of days, I was glad to let him have it. The team did a great job! They cleaned inside and out, shampooed, and ionized the heck out of my car. I had no idea my 10 year old car could look this good, but the miracle with the smell. No mildew. The car smells new! I had my car detailed on a Friday and didn't quite know when I could pick it up. I prepaid and told Pat that I had an extra set of keys and to leave them in the glove box and I would pick it up on Saturday. When I went to pick it up on Saturday, the keys were fully visible in the console and both doors were unlocked. When I called to tell Pat I was unhappy about this fact he denied it and said someone else must have opened. Huh? Not sure how that would be possible since I'm the only one with the extra set of keys and why would I then call to say I was unhappy. When pressed about how this was not possible, he continued to claim that someone else must have opened the truck, and walked away. This lie is just plain stupid especially since I wasn't asking for a refund of any kind. What else does he lie about? read more

The only downside I could see is that their appointments are far out in the month, but honestly with the type of service and the care that they took with my car, it's definitely worth it. I took in my car for a full detail. They were very clear on the instructions in regards to everything from forms of payment to time the car is expected to be brought in and delivery time. The work was done so well that my car now has that new car smell and feel to it all over again, even though I've had it for 5 years now. Overall, they did a great job detailing my car, which I was preparing to sell. But their overall customer relations is a bit sloppy. They'd originally quoted $160 over the phone, and we scheduled a time to have me bring in my car. When I showed up there was nobody there except for the guys working in the back. In the main entry/office, they have several signs saying customers aren't allowed to go back into the garage where the guys are working. A couple of the guys back there saw me waiting and didn't say hi or offer to help me. After waiting 10 minutes or so, I walked back there and asked if someone was available to help me. The guys said the office person would be back soon, and she could help me when she came back. After waiting a few more minutes I decided to just fill out the paperwork and leave my keys. No big deal, except kind of an annoyance given that we specifically scheduled that time for me to come in to drop the car off. The next day I got a call saying it'd cost an extra $50 to detail it, because I guess it was dirtier than average. Fine, it was pretty dirty so whatever. No big deal. After a couple more days I picked up a message on my phone at 4:30 pm that said that the car was ready and I'd need to pick it up either by 5. What I didn't expect, and what he didn't say in the message is that he would charge an extra $50 per night that I left the car there. In other words, you have 30 minutes to pick up your car or we'll charge an extra $50. I wasn't able to get there in time...so I came the next business day to get it instead. So when I saw the additional $50 on the bill, I explained the situation...that to give such short notice that I have to pick up my car or get charged another $50 isn't really fair to the customer. He blamed me, saying that I should have known my car was going to be ready then, and I should have been available to pick up the car. Ultimately, it was a bad deal for me and I think they need to work on their customer relations/communication. So, ultimately, for an initial quote of $160 I ended up having to pay $300 when all was said and done. Not cool! Overall, they did a good job in the detailing. The car looks awesome. Yet with the sloppiness of customer interaction and the additional charges to add an extra 90% to the initial quote just came across as a wee bit slimey. read more

We took both cars in last year and they did such a fabulous job that we're taking them back in again this year. The cars were sparkly, shiny clean inside and out. They work very hard and for a reasonable cost. Yes, the rugs and upholstery are damp for a couple of days afterward, but that was expected. - best to get it done when it's relatively sunny. I was told upfront that there would be an additional charge to remove all the hair and when I picked up my car I couldn't believe how clean it was not a single hair. The owner was very nice! Really great service and attention from start to finish. After my son was violently sick on a road trip home from Vancouver, after a few weeks and several personal cleanings, I brought my car on for a detail. Everything was super clean and even though the smell seemed fine, they said that they could do an ionizer but I should wait and see if I still needed it after a few weeks. Nice. No hard sell. This is the second time I took my 91 trooper to them. The first time it came out great. I just washed it today, and i had the exterior package done back in aprox March. The water didn't even begin to bead, and they didn't even wipe out the door sills, or clean up the polishing compound. I don't think there was wax applied. I won't go there again. read more
