I took my vehicle there for start up alarm. I drove 3 hours to get it installed there by quick bite which is the best i grew up in this neighborhood so i figured i get my alarm installed there and after a day of getting it installed and driving back it didn't not work at all so i called and he told me it wasn't his fault i had to drive so far i could have picked any one els to install a alarm but i had paid already so i drove back to get it fixed again 12 hours invested into a car alarm i had a bad experience with them already and a random person asked me if it was worth going in there and i said "no because they showed me bad customer service i told the person my situation (the install was not done right because it didn't work after two day and all) Well they heard me on the camera and came out flying out like GaNG Bangers Dad/owner and younger son they threatened me with word and comments like" we have carry conceal we know your address and the younger son was trying to assault me-the hole time . The dad/owner instead of calming his son down that was making me walk backwards towards quick bite as he tried to assault me , the dad made comments "like we helped you the second time and you tell our customers lies we should show up in your house for coffee as he chuckled " topping his son's gun comments.. worst place ever! bottom line stay away.. or don't complain to them so they can fake their bully gangster personality's and give you "good service "zero stars if i could.ps i also was and still am second amendment carrying citizens and how i behaved is how ccw people should be in situations like that , calm polite humble responsible with your personality thinking about consequences actions and affects these people that own this place dad and two sons are personality's that are definitely not good citizens or good business people and should not have any interaction with anyone. I have a 2007 Chrysler 300 SRT-8 that I brought in to this shop for a remote start and alarm. One of the things that I liked the most about this shop is that it is family owned, and there is always someone there that can answer any questions or handle any issues if they should come up. Service was fast, thorough and no double talk, everything was explained up front, no surprises. and from years of dealing with other shops that was a very nice change of pace. 1 month after I had this alarm/start installed I had service done to my car, a new alternator. the mechanic didn't tell me that disconnecting the battery might cause a programming issue. after a long unfruitful discussion/argument with my mechanic I returned to Auto Sound Barrier to see if they could help resolve my issue. The staff had me in and out in less than 20mins! I have recommended this shop to other friends of mine one who's Audi has been very difficult to get a remote start installed into and this place made short work of it! Do your self a BIG FAVOR and DO NOT use these people they are a RIP OFF! They Lie! I was having a problem with my right speakers cutting in and out. I CALLED these people and was told they would look at it ( there would be a service fee, Fine no problem) then tell me how much it would be to repair the problem. I went out of my way to go there and as soon as I walked in the door the story changed, Immediately I was given some Absolutely ridiculous price and they were saying the speakers had to be replaced. They were saying that without even looking at the car. I asked what about looking at it the way I was told on the phone they would? They said they weren't going to waste there time. So I told them to stick it where the Sun didn't shine and left!! I then went over to Gold Sound Around 3100 W Irving Park Rd in Chicago.. They fixed the problem in Approx. 35minutes. I've been here twice now, both times for remote car starters. My most recent experience was as good as it gets. Haggled a good price, car was done on time, and everyone in the shop was pleasant to deal with. They were patient with all my questions, and answered them all in allowing me to choose the right product. Everything works as expected, and if I need to stop in for a question or any kind of follow up they are open to supporting their product. I will use them again, and while I can't speak for the other products they sell, for remote car starters my experiences with them has been excellent and I would recommend them to friends. read more

i bought a sound system for a car a couple years ago, and more recently a set of tinted windows. I've had good experiences with this business, and they have been genuine all the time. They even admitted to me when they couldnt install a piece of equipment in my car, because their wasnt enough space under the hood. I went forth and asked 4 other mechanics afterwards and they all recommended against it as well. I went in and the work was done very quickly and professionally. The only reason I gave this place a star is because I had to. Horrible customer service. I got window tints from here and they peeled off in two months.
