Robert was incredibly pleasant to work with he took the time to really listen to what was going on and made us feel confident the car was in good hands. Within a day, we got a call that everything was ready, and they absolutely delivered. The sunroof works perfectly now just like it came straight from the factory. The pricing was fair, the turnaround was quick, and the entire staff was phenomenal. It's rare to find a shop that combines great customer service with high-quality work, but they nailed it. On 2 occassions, I've tried to get an estimate on how much it'd be to install a headliner in a 1990 chevy beretta. I took it there TWICE since 2022; NO ONE EVER GOT BACK TO ME. My mechanic even drove the car there in 2025 & they didn't get back to him either with an estimate. I wouldn't recommend them as they don't have the decency to just say "we don't know" or "we can't work on this". This represents to me that they pick/choose what they want without being professional by responding. They'll still have clients but as for me, I can't honestly recommend someone that won't make contact with me. read more

After my car's sunroof was smashed in, we were referred here by our insurance company for them to install a new sunroof. Once the sunroof was delivered to Orlando glass, they called us promptly to bring in the car the following day. After bringing in the car at 8 am, the repair was finished (including clearing out all the glass and replacing the sunroof) by 4pm. We had a leaking sunroof and consequently a lot of water made it's way into our car. I noticed the rubber seal around the sunroof window was broken which was the start to how the problem started. I found Orlando. The crew was very nice. They cleared out the drains and replaced some carpet padding, but to my surprise they didn't fix the broken rubber seal on the window -which was the root cause of the problem. After pointing it out to them they took care of it, so in the end I left generally happy. But if you use them, you definitely should check their work as I question their thoroughness. read more

I've had some vehicle upholstery-type work done through them several times, as well as having them replace the amp for my radio on my 20 year old Chevy truck. They do a good job for a fair price, and they are reliable (just don't piss off the lady who works the cashier's window). Orlando Glass and Trim has given me THE WORSE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER had with any automotive business. Need a windshield replaced, call everywhere and Orlandos has the HIGHEST price, They claim "we've been here for a 100 years so our quality speaks for itself" Not wanting to take chances with Either Fernando's, Armando's Glass, Gerbers or Aarons since I was unsure about their warranty and whether or not they would even honor it if they are even still around. I opted for Orlando; 1st week Phone call they Insist that I bring it By so they can inspect the moldings before they order moldings... (was kinda iffy I mean... I asked for the OEM Mouldings) For whatever reason they Insisted I had chrome moldings and the car should be inspected first.... (It has regular black trim smh that should've been my first sign but I ignored it and well.. I shouldn't have) 2nd Week : I stop by, no-one really seemed to know why I was there since they couldn't find the paperwork, after an hour they inspect and order the parts and I go on about my way 3rd Week: No response from the company after 4 days, I call Back Friday mornings; Its arrived (Why was I not informed). I double check if its ok to come by at 3; they Say Yes; I call at 2 to reconfirm; they give me the green light; I arrive at 3PM check in and drop off car; 3:45 I get a phone-call "We ordered the wrong glass, We know you wanted a Pilkington, but we received a xyg...." I don't believe they were trying to bait and switch thats just silly; but what else is silly is I CALLED IN THE MORNING; Before you give a customer the o.k to come in; would it KILL YOU to verify you have the right parts.... I grabbed my keys; resigned to the fact that I have been there twice now; wasted a total of 4 hours (They're in downtown Chicago) and got absolutely nothing accomplished, not to mention missing work to have it Inspected, and then missing work again to drive out to the shop only to have them sheepishly tell me they received the wrong glass. Yet another car issue and being a card-carrying member of the unemployed, I dreaded taking it to the dealership. I thought the motor on my rear passenger window went out because I could no longer raise or lower it with the touch of a button and it would even slide down if I hit a hard bump in the road. Not a good look at all. After hearing several horror stories about how much it would cost to fix, I just resigned myself to the fact that I was going to be out about $300. Amazing service. The staff are extremely polite. My window got smashed in the mid-afternoon. I do not have a garage so I was concerned about parking on the street overnight. After looking at their reviews on Yelp, I called Orlando glass. I was worried that they were not going to be able to help me because it was late in the day but they told me to come to the shop and I gave them my vehicle information. As soon as I walked into the office, I was acknowledged immediately and only had to wait a minute for the receptionist to finish a phone call. They gave me a price for replacing the window in less than ten minutes and told me the work would be finished the following day. They addressed my concern about parking outside overnight and I watched them park my car in their garage. My car was ready by mid-afternoon the following day. The whole incident was resolved in less than 24 hours. I was totally surprised to find that they had done an amazing job cleaning up all of the broken glass that was in my car when I brought it to them. Started the day bringing a relatively small broken window (vent on a Toyota Echo) to Gerber Glass. After being made to feel bad because I hadn't made an appointment (even though the place was deserted) a nice serviceperson gave me a quote of $450 and told me they couldn't work on it for a few days as "special parts had to be shipped." Figuring that Chicago is filled with Mom and Pop auto shops, I drove south on Ashland until I saw "Orlando's" sign. Pulled in and yes, there were Mom and Pop, with hundreds of kids' photos plastered everywhere. The quote was $120 and the window would be ready in about two hours. Orlando's did a completely excellent piece of work and I guess anyone who uses Gerber's has more money than they need. read more

I took the car back to them the day I posted my first review. The owner genuinely cared about my experience and prioritized my repair ahead of his other customers. The moment I arrived he had someone come take a look at the door. This mechanic took apart the door and then informed me that some "dumbass" forgot to attach the cable from the handle. While re-assembling the panel he scratched the plastic in his rush. I'd love to rate these guys higher than 3 stars. As a small business owner myself I can tell the owners care about their customers.
