My parents and I have been bringing our cars to Autotech since I was 16 years old in 1986, before Ralph Jr took over the reigns.

Five Stars - The Absolute Best in the Business! If you are…read morelooking for an auto repair shop that actually cares about its customers and excels at what they do, look no further than The Car Doctor in Falls Church. Other auto repair shops seriously need to take note of how this place operates. They don't just see dollar signs when you walk through the door; they focus on building real relationships and providing honest, top-tier service. They have gone completely above and beyond to extend the life of our family's vehicles, keeping three very different cars running beautifully: * My truck (2007 GMC Yukon XL Denali) * My wife's car (2013 Chevy Equinox) * Our daughter's car (2016 Toyota Corolla) Finding a mechanic you can trust implicitly is rare, but the team at The Car Doctor has earned our loyalty completely. They treat your vehicles like their own and never try to push unnecessary repairs. Truly a gem in the community--highly, highly recommended!

They provided a detailed, easy-to-understand report showing what needed immediate attention and what items may need to be addressed down the road. What really stood out was their honesty. They never tried to upsell me or pressure me into repairs that weren't necessary. Instead, they took the time to explain everything, prioritize the repairs, and let me make an informed decision. It's refreshing to find a shop that's focused on helping customers rather than selling unnecessary work. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, trustworthy, and professional mechanic, I highly recommend The Car Doctor for all your vehicle needs. I'll definitely be bringing my other vehicles here for future maintenance and repairs!

At first I was thrilled as the service manager was nice enough and I enjoyed going there. -This past weekend it changed dramatically and NOPE will never go back. Backstory- called roughly 2 weeks ago because my car needed some items done. We agreed that because the parking lot is small, I'd swing the car over to have them look at it so they could order the parts Saturday- stopped in and someone I've never seen before essentially refused to look at my broken mirror. Saying "well I can tell you now you need a new mirror" ironic considering he hadn't step foot from behind the counter. As he was "too busy" LUCKILY A SHOP WASNT "TOO BUSY"- walked out of there vowing to never go back and called another shop in Falls Church. The gentleman said "bring it on by. Happy to look at it" went to that shop and the nice guy not only looked at it but showed me the parts online to order (spoiler I don't need a new mirror) so I could save money from buying through a dealer. He then went as far as to remove the hanging pieces so they wouldn't damage the paint In conclusion- Schmitz managed to lose out on a broken mirror (purchase and replacement) fixing the cable for the gas tank, oil change, emissions and state inspection, and a car wash all because the guy "was too busy" I suggest finding other places that value customers

You should check your cars first. They have synthetic oil too. But it's really pricy like $100. The customer service is bad and good. The one at the reception desk is not friendly at all. We booked for 2 cars but he thought 1. And he did not want to admit it. The mechanic man is really kind. He explained about synthetic oil and tire rotation well. He is respectful. He told me that he would quit explaining, if I'm not interested in those great tips. He knows car maintenances well and is proud of it. That's why he'd like to share the information with the people who care about their cars a lot but don't know how to take care about them. I really appreciated. The location is great. Close to The center of Tyson's corner. I killed time with shopping. The office is small next to or in the gas station.

After several attempts to get me to fix it there and lowering the price a little, they reluctantly passed my inspection, making me feel nervous about the breaks/safety of my car. The next day, I took my car to my mechanic (Rosslyn Automotive-highly recommend), who told me that 1) I have drums not rotors and 2) they hardly ever need to be replaced. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION FOR CAR SERVICES, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A WOMAN!

Good experience at Meineke after bad experience at Midas. I initially took my car to Midas (Lee…read moreHighway) but felt they were upselling the transaction. They probably are used to naive customers just agreeing to pay for whatever repairs they come up with, esp when cars are often coming in because of failed inspections. At Midas, I was quoted a repair cost of $1014 for supposedly two leaks in exhaust. When I found out the genuine dealer replacement parts (cat converter/resonator combo) were only $1000, Midas suddenly tried to negotiate. When I suggested Midas' $1000+ repair cost was high considering dealer-replacement cat converter/resonator combo was only $1000, Midas became sarcastic and said "you do you", said I should come pick up the car. Then I brought the car to this Meineke who found just a single leak and repaired it for $400, all with courteous service, excellent communication and no up-selling.

In July, I went to get a routine oil change. I was told my brakes also needed to be replaced, and I had this service done. A few days later, I was driving on the highway with my family and my brakes completely went out. Luckily, I was able to pull off the side of the road and avoid hitting anyone or anything. When my car was towed to the Jeep dealership, they told me the brake caliper was incorrectly installed. I have contacted this location multiple times through email and phone calls in an attempt to get a refund for the incorrect repair service they performed, which could have killed my family. It has been months, and no one has returned any of my emails or phone calls.
