I have chosen to give the care of my vehicle to Auto Technicians after hearing a lot of word of mouth positive reviews of the company. My truck, a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer, has a fairly high number of miles yet it continues to run incredibly smooth thanks to the Bob and the guys at Auto Technicians. My first experience with them was a generic overhaul of my truck, providing them with a great test to verify their honesty and their integrity. I brought it in, asked them to go over everything and let me know what all I needed to do to allow me a couple more years of service out of it. I expected to hear back an impossibly high number given the age and mileage. I also knew of a couple of problems the vehicle was having, but withheld the information in the hopes they would find it. They did so, but the actual cause of the trouble was not what I thought it was so they actually saved me quite a bit of money in repairing that. They also found several items that were also in need of repair, some more important and some less. They quoted me a price that was extremely reasonable for the repair work done. A day or so into the repair, they found something wrong with the vehicle that they had missed but it was something that I brought up to them originally. They apologized for missing it and made it right for me by only charging me for the parts, not the labor on that particular repair. I didn't request it at all, as I didn't really feel like it was a failure on their part since they did find it eventually even though it wasn't part of the estimated price. They simply wanted to make it right for me. To me, that speaks volumes to their integrity and honesty. Once the repair was finished, I came in under the new estimated cost with the added repair as they were able to find a couple savings on parts. A+ as far as I am concerned. My second repair done by them was very recently my Coolant refused to stay within my vehicle and as they found out my radiator had come apart, as is apparently quite common with Mountaineers. They provided me an estimate that seemed fair, others I know that have had replacements had paid 500+ for theirs. They performed the work in a day and I had it back the morning after. It was an exceptional job as had been done previously and my car is back to running like a champ. I would recommend Auto Technicians, they are honest, quiet reasonable turnaround times for as popular as they are, and are very easy to work with. read more

Imagine your oil light blinking frantically with an urgent beeping sound as you drive through a town that is two hours from your destination. Not good. Turned off the engine and coasted into a parking lot... found a lake of oil underneath my car. A friend suggested I call Auto Technicians because he took his daughter's car there for repair and they seemed reasonable. Bob and his crew couldn't have been more accommodating. They suggested a towing company (Beerhr's Towing... very prompt and professional). I have a very cool old Jetta, which can be a challenge for some mechanics (I learned that the hard way). Bob kept me in the loop as they worked on my car. Gave me an idea of what to expect. Was accurate in the amount of time to fix it. And fit me in because he knew I didn't live in Midland. Within 4 hours, I was back on the road. My VW runs great and the Auto Technicians crew made a stressful situation much less stressful. So I stopped by Auto tech to see if they could fix my muffler . the nice lady behind the counter said no not really and the guy behind her ( now I know as Bob) said let me take a look at it. Which he didn't have to do, but went out and looked under the car and gave me an idea what was wrong. Bob then went on to tell me about a guy in Sanford who fixes mufflers and said it would be worth the drive. Little did I know how right he would be. On my way back to my office I decided to stop at Tuffy to see what they had to say. The guy at Tuffy looked at my car said he'd be right back and came back with a $670 estimate. WHAT!!!! I then called the OLD TIME MUFFLER SHOP Mike quoted me 250 to fix the car , I said I would drop it off the next day . Mike called the next day said my car was ready when I went to pick it up Mike said it wasn't what he thought it was and that it would be ( ready for bad news ) only 140 to fix the car. WHAT!! So not only did Bob from Auto Tech earn ALL my future business for what he did when he didn't have to . Anyone who needs muffler repairs IT SO worth the drive to Old Time Muffler!!!!
