My truck, a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer, has a fairly high number of miles yet it continues to run incredibly smooth thanks to the Bob and the guys at Auto Technicians. My first experience with them was a generic overhaul of my truck, providing them with a great test to verify their honesty and their integrity. I brought it in, asked them to go over everything and let me know what all I needed to do to allow me a couple more years of service out of it. I expected to hear back an impossibly high number given the age and mileage. I also knew of a couple of problems the vehicle was having, but withheld the information in the hopes they would find it. They did so, but the actual cause of the trouble was not what I thought it was so they actually saved me quite a bit of money in repairing that. They also found several items that were also in need of repair, some more important and some less. They quoted me a price that was extremely reasonable for the repair work done. A day or so into the repair, they found something wrong with the vehicle that they had missed but it was something that I brought up to them originally. They apologized for missing it and made it right for me by only charging me for the parts, not the labor on that particular repair. I didn't request it at all, as I didn't really feel like it was a failure on their part since they did find it eventually even though it wasn't part of the estimated price. They simply wanted to make it right for me. To me, that speaks volumes to their integrity and honesty. Once the repair was finished, I came in under the new estimated cost with the added repair as they were able to find a couple savings on parts. A+ as far as I am concerned. My second repair done by them was very recently my Coolant refused to stay within my vehicle and as they found out my radiator had come apart, as is apparently quite common with Mountaineers. They provided me an estimate that seemed fair, others I know that have had replacements had paid 500+ for theirs. They performed the work in a day and I had it back the morning after. It was an exceptional job as had been done previously and my car is back to running like a champ. I would recommend Auto Technicians, they are honest, quiet reasonable turnaround times for as popular as they are, and are very easy to work with.

Being 2 hrs either to my home south or to Crystal Mountain, I quickly searched for auto mechanic to stop by. Thanks to Siri directed me to Jays Auto Repair shop, and slowly I arrived 5 minutes before they closed. No hesitation from the employees, they took the scanner to check the codes and the problem was quickly diagnosed. They stayed open until they fixed my truck, even though they were about to leave for the day. Greta service and great people, from the owner Jay and his wife, to all the employees working there. Todd even took the time to explain the leak and show me the problem gaskets. The shop is very clean and the team is very friendly. Todd is also a Jeep Wrangler owner so now I know who I will come back to in the future in Midland. They offer warranty on their work and parts also. My exhaust pipe was falling off and dragging under my car for a day or two, and when the…read moredragging/scraping was more than I could handle, I called these guys up. They said to bring my car right in, and within 5 minutes of arriving, they had my car in the shop. I had told the gentleman at the desk that I didn't get paid until the next day and wouldn't be able to afford any big fixes today. He understood and went to take a look at my car. There was no muffler, and the exhaust all the way up to the catalytic converter needed replacing, at over $400. He handed me the quote, and said that they removed the part of the exhaust that was dragging and put a bracket on what was left to keep it in place until repairs could be made. When I asked how much it cost for that much, he said 'absolutely nothing. We did it out of the kindness of our hearts." What began as a stressful morning turned into a Godsend. I will be returning to get my car repaired once I've got the money. I trust these guys and appreciate the kindness they showed me.
