I love this shop! I took my jeep into auto words thinking it was time for new brakes as i'm almost at 45k miles. I meet with Oscar, very nice man by the way, he says he'll inspect the brakes & call me with a estimate. So we head home & about 30 minutes later, he calls & says no need to do the brakes, you still have about 70% left. I'm shocked & really happy as money is so tight. This guy is so honest, another shop would have done the brakes & charged me & I would never have known. It's so nice to know there are honest guys like Oscar!! Went to have AC done on a Friday. Had my car a half day and said he needs to see if he can get a part. Will check now on Monday and call me with cost. Now I have to wait till Monday after having my car a half of day. . Monday came 109* day. Didn't hear anything . So Tuesday morning I call and get a women saying. He must be on a test drive. He will call you when he gets back. NEVER HEARD BACK AGAIN. Now it's Wednesday before I can get my car into another place. How he got 4.5 star is a joke: Thanks for messing me over. We were also referred to this place by Discount Tires after the local Chrysler dealership said we needed four new tires (Discount said the tires were fine) and $1000 worth of repairs for leaking oil and transmission fluids. Auto Worx did the leak repair for less than one-third the cost, and it's been great ever since. It's a bit hard to find; it is next door but fortunately NOT a part of Chuck's Automotive. Recommended by American Discount Tire for alignment. Hard to find; the place is part of Chuck's but you have to drive around back. Then the comfy but Spartan waiting room is in Chuck's half of the building. Then you go pay in back at the other half of the shop. Whatever. It works. I had an appointment and spaced out. I showed up 2 hours later and still had my mini-van alignment done in just a little over an hour. read more

I was so surprised how rude this person treated me. I stopped by with an oil leak problem and the mechanic that helped me in putting oil refused my payment for the service he did. (adding oil) but he kept on ranting that my car was junk! I thanked him for the oil and told him I would be back. He answered: Not with this car! He sent me away like a stray dog.. read more

Took my vehicle here for repair. I knew the exact mileage on it before bringing it in and had this info written down. Picked it up two days later and noticed the low gas light was on which it hadn't been. Then I checked the odometer which showed that it had been driven 77 miles during the two days it had been at this shop. On top of this the repair was basically just bandaged over. The problem was not fixed and i ended up having to take it somewhere else where they actually fixed the issue and showed me what they had done. read more

Honest, decently priced, knowledgeable mechanics! I've came to AutoworX on several occasions for an alignment, changing out bushings, and routine maintenance. I'm super anal about who works on my car, and for me to be a return customer says a lot! Oscar is the man! He's straight up and honest in conducting business. His staff and office manager are also personable and friendly, working with a smile. The only Con for someone who's never been here is finding the place. I've been taking my trucks here for years. Most honest and fair place. I once was having what I thought was a transmission problem. I was ready to buy and new tranny. I let Oscar ( owner ) know that I had the money in had and wanted him to find me the best transmission possible for my truck. I got a call 2 hours later telling me my truck was done and would only cost me 200$. Apparently my speed sensor was out. They could have took total advantage and made a good buck off me but they were honest and beyond fair. Came here because I thought these people were honest and fair but I got the complete opposite. Over charged me for a service then came home to find there was something else wrong with it, a problem that didn't exist before. Took it back and said they weren't responsible for it. Wanted to charge me again! Said it was a big job and had to leave it another day. I left and took it to big O tires and they fixed it for FREE in less then an hour. Couldn't believe they wanted to scam me for more money after they were the ones responsible for the problem. Will never go back and don't recommend this place to anyone. This is the best place for car repair in the desert! I can't say enough about them. Yes, it's a bit hard to find, but once you do, don't go anywhere else! I was referred to Auto Worx by a friend, and I've told everyone I know to go there. Oscar and all the mechanics are fantastic. They are the most honest mechanics I've ever encountered. I've driven a lot of clunkers and a few great cars, too, so I've dealt with A LOT of mechanics over the years. Oscar always does a top notch job, for less than anyone else, and the work gets done exactly when promised. I've taken cars there when I'm considering a car purchase to get an honest opinion, and they never give bad advice. When one of my cars was about to croak and it was time to trade it in, they told me so. For minor problems, they didn't even charge me a couple of times. (They probably didn't want me to say that!) One time I was sure I needed brake work, so I took my car in and left it for the day. Within a couple of hours, Oscar called and told me I could wait another 5,000 miles or so and I could come pick up my car whenever I was ready. He took the time to explain what I had suspected, too.
