The shop rarely answers the phone and when I do get through, I'm given vague or shifting timelines about when the job will be finished. I've had to call repeatedly just to get basic updates. A transmission repair can take time, but clear communication is the least a customer should expect. Unfortunately, that hasn't been my experience. I would not recommend this shop to anyone who values honest updates and timely service.

A couple weeks after i got my vehicle back the car began having the same exact issues as when I brought it in. I asked them to take another look at the car and they literally told me "we don't know what the issue is". They returned it and it drove fine for a week before it once again began having issues. I took it elsewhere and was informed that I actually had a brake issue and it had nothing at all to do with my transmission.... DO NOT GO HERE. I have no idea if they even worked on my transmission... awful experience, save yourself some time and money and take your business elsewhere.

So we looked on YELP and Next Door and decided to have a mechanic check her out. At Lou's we encountered the rare species of an honest mechanic. He checked out the little problem and said "I could begin replacing things but I'm not sure that would solve the issue." He then advised us to hold off for a while. My husband was so impressed...especially since with our other car at home the dealer forces us to spend a fortune on stuff we don't need or they will "void the warranty."
