Asked the carwash attendant to please clean the area around my vents because I could visibly see the dust and I just paid $46. He complained. Okay well can you clean the side door where there is clearly dust everywhere - I was quickly told to leave. I didn't yell - didn't scream. The manager was high strung and just unnecessarily rude and difficult. Clearly new to leadership, management, and customer relations. Stopped at Autobell on Hollad rd. The only packages available that included interior cleaning started at $34.99. I chose $34.99. The only soap used was from the handheld wand. I told the attendant to be sure and lower my windows and clean the top of the windows which he did; however he left the windows lower part dirty until i called it to his attention. When my car was released i noticed inside the windshield had water spray, again i had to call them back. as im driving home i realize my cloth seat is damp enough to seap into my slacks, a glance in my review mirror shows the back wjndow wasn't cleaned on the inside. This place was awful we waited forever for them to only vacuum the middle of our mini van they didn't wipe anything down, move anything or even try to vacuum the front or back. A basic car wash is all your getting for a $25 high-end interior/exterior cleaning description. I can't even believe I sat for 15 minutes watching 7 different individuals clean my car. I'm just wondering WHAT DID YOU CLEAN? I genuinely can't see a difference. I even tipped them generously before seeing the interior because I figured a 15 minute 7 person job had to be good. I was wrong and never have I been so disappointed in a car wash service. For starters the carpets were not vacuumed, mats not wiped down, dash not wiped down, interior doors not wiped down, interior glass not wiped down. All of which were included in the description. Avoid this car wash!!!! Got the manager special and carpet cleaning spent about 89.00 I might as well lost in in a casino this was a gamble and the house won. I had to point out. How they didn't vacuum the back a good amount of sand from the beach trip was still their. Huge brown spot on the door had them clean it off. The front was a joke. They didn't wipe down all the sides. Now for the interior Jon seemed ok still miss a few areas I didn't even look hard for these issues. I expect a spot here and their but to have water spots all over too! Save your money! I called customer service awaiting to hear back from the manager. I must say, I really hate writing this review, but I have to be honest .... the quality of car washes has gone down quite a bit at this location, and it is extremely noticeable. I started coming to this location when it first opened a few years ago, and loved it. They really knew how to do a full service wash, and the price was absolutely worth it. I moved away in 2016 to the west coast, and fast forward to 2021 I moved back and needed my car washed back in June. I didn't even give it a second thought that I was going to take it to Auto Bell. That wash in June was a huge disappointment, and I purchased the top wash with add-ons. In the end my car was half dry, and the guys completely missed vacuuming my rear floor carpeting and didn't wiped the seats. I pointed it out to them, and they told me that they didn't know how to move my seats. Although I found it hard to believe because my seats are just like every other car with electric seats, I still gave him the benefit of the doubt, and showed him how to move it, and then he vacuumed my carpets. Looking further, they barely touched my wheels, and they were also included in what I paid for. After that visit, I basically took my car up the street to Liberty off Independence, and did everything myself. I ended up tipping the guy because I figured maybe he was having a bad day, or they completely swamped. Again, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but make no mistake i was not pleased leaving there. I decided to give them another try a few weeks ago, because again ... I've known of this place for years, and the quality that I used to know was always phenomenal. Unfortunately, this past visit wasn't any better than the last. The car was half dried again, they barely touched the front of my car because there was still bug splatter on the front grill from my recent road trip, and there were water spots on the back of the car. Again, I pointed them out to the guy and he took car of the water spots, but not the bug splatter. Soooo, I took my car to Liberty and did the rest myself and got everything off. I paid for the top wash with add-ons, they even told me how the wash was a $69 value, and I was getting a great deal. I don't even think the "deal" that I got was worth it. In case you're wondering why it took so long for me to post this ... Well, today I took my car to Buggy Bathe off shore drive for the first time in many years, and I must say that this is what I've been looking for all along. This was the quality that used to exist at Auto Bell, but I feel it no longer does. In fact, when Auto Bell first opened, I stopped going to Buggy Bathe and started going to Auto Bell because they were that much better. It seems as though the roles have reversed yet again. I felt the need to share with others. So if you're looking for a good quality wash for the same price as Auto Bell, check out Buggy Bathe on Shore Drive. I'll be leaving them a review as well. Auto Bell, I highly recommend you either take a look at your pricing and make it match the quality or your washes - because currently it doesn't - or I recommend you take a hard look at how your employees are washing vehicles, because at the moment they don't seem to be meeting the mark, and other reviews on this page seem to validate that fact. -Stephen read more

So after several months of swearing off Autobell, I finally decided to come back and give them another shot in hopes that things have tightened up since my last visit... They hadn't really. Positive: To give credit where credit is due, all of the employees were pleasant and had good attitudes. This made a positive impact and made my future disappointment easier to bear. Sort of good is that I didn't recognize a single employee. My last few visits before I ultimately stopped coming (until today), I noticed the employees that I'd seen there for a while were some of the worst offenders for having a lackadaisical attitude towards their job and the effort they would put in to it. Maybe this time around with this new crop of employees, management will bring back the quality and hospitality I once knew them for. Going back to just the cleaning itself, the exterior looked great. My car shined like it hadn't in a while and it was definitely refreshing to see. In addition, they did a great job with vacuuming the interior and shining the tires. Also, my car has a nice lemony scent that makes it feel cleaner and I'm sure my future Uber passengers will appreciate it (if they're sober enough to notice). Negative: There was very little in the way of attention paid to the details of the interior cleaning. I watched two - and for a few minutes, three - employees work on my car. This had made me hopeful that I wouldn't need anything touched up but I ended up needing a lot of the interior redone. Upon inspection, I found that none of the doors had been wiped down (which is included in the $30+ package I paid for), the rear floor mats weren't wiped down, and the door jams (not sure the proper terminology but literally where the door meets the car) wasn't wiped down well. I hate being that person that has the poor employee following at my heel as I point out the things missed because I know they're trying, but the sheer number of things not done just made it all hard to ignore. After all of that, I finally tip the man and head on my way, only to find that my dashboard was completely untouched. Somehow one of the biggest interior surfaces that needs to be cleaned literally had not been touched. They got the steering wheel and the radio console, but nothing above that. So I had to turn around and come back and have the guy clean that as well. I had truly high hopes for this visit as I really loved coming here until the quality declined so severely but I'm going to have to maintain my review of two stars. One star for the polite and friendly employees. And one star for the young man's good attitude about fixing everything that was missed. I really hope they manage to turn things around with this new staff they have. read more

I received some very exception service while getting my Xterra washed and cleaned here. They offer a lot of different car cleaning services and they all seemed reasonably priced. Or just get a quick wash for 4 bucks! Today I got the Manager's Special with Armor All for my first time here. It was an excellent value at $29.99 and it took less then 30 minutes from start to finish on a SUV none the less. My car looks great and smells great too! I was very pleased with this place and will return again. I will even get my wife's car done here in the very near future as well. read more

Autobell is not what it used to be. Paid for the managers special at the Independence location and they may have spent 5 min on the truck and they were not busy. Didn't ask or receive the fragrance and left cup holders wet with no wipe down. Dust still on the dash as well. Took our other vehicle last week to SSS in Norfolk and not only was it cheaper they spent a good amount of time on the vehicle and it was perfect (and they were busy). Worth the drive or maybe the Autobell at Hilltop is better! read more

Got my truck washed and cleaned out. When I got home I noticed my $100 sun glasses were missing. Went back the next day to look for the manager Kisha. She was not working so the employee called another manager. The manager asked the employee who had her on speaker phone when he told her the issue was she said "are you F ing Serious"? Police report was filed. I recommend people not going to this location as they will steal your stuff and they are not professional. This location made no effort to rectify this issue. read more

If you have he option to wait in a line at car spa, or not wait in a line at Autobell...choose to wait in the line. I paid 35.00 ($5 extra for the front mats to be cleaned) and had to come home and finish the job myself. I don't think they vacuumed at all, and the left over salt residue on my steering wheel and door didn't get touched, even though they were extremely noticeable. The $5 mat cleaning service was apparently just putting water on them to create lumps of mud. Not sure exactly what the "managers special" is...other than a rip off. I come into thisAuto Bell about every six month because I am usually disappointed in the service. I give them the benefit of the doubt that the new staff will be better. Nope, not today. I paid $21.99 to have my fiat (same price as a tundra) cleaned inside and out plus a 15% tip which I Per-paid...need to stop doing that. I got back to my car and there was a visible scrape that I knew could be rubbed off. I asked him for a rag. He handed it to me. I said no problem I'll just sit here and this. I went to Auto bell 2 days ago. I was excited to get a car wash because of the high ratings & reviews. What a disappointment! There are marks on the windows. Dirt still left on the chairs. From what it looks like, they just wagged the rugs off. Did a quick vacuum.. No wait! They used their hands. I had Doritos chips on the floor surrounded with dirt. They only picked up the big pieces. Obviously, they didn't vacuum. All of the cup holders weren't cleaned either. Bird stain was still on the car. I paid 28, tip included for this dirty crap. I paid less in San Diego & they did waaay better. If you wanna save money & be satisfied, do it yourself. I don't plan on going here again. I would rather go to a car wash machine place & clean the inside of my car at home. I would've given a star but because the guy was nice, I added another star. I also regret tipping $5. I've given these people a second chance on my detailing. Windows were greasy streaked and in the right light appeared cloudy. Dash wasn't wiped down. I have expectations for a quality job because I paid money for the service. I'm not a professional, but I feel that my own work is much better than what I've received. I had an absolutely horrible experience with Autobell today. I brought my brand new 2017 Jeep Cherokee to Autobell to have it cleaned and upon inspecting it, once they were finished, it had a long fine scratch across the rear passenger door that was not there prior to the employees handling my vehicle. I spoke to the store manager about my concern, but he claimed that they did not cause the scratch and that it must have already been there. There were no other scratches anywhere else on the vehicle and with this being on my driver's side in plain view I spotted it immediately and am certain that it was not there before, as there were no scratches present when I exited my vehicle. I am beyond upset and only wish I had never taken my car there in the first place. I will definitely warn everybody I know not to take their cars here. read more
