Wanted a quick car wash. Surprisingly the greater Charlotte area has very few touchless car wash. Over priced and confusing entry way. The worst was the car drying- The kids doing it have no idea. They will take the same micro fiber that they use to clean the wheels/rims and clean the other surfaces of the car. Talk about micro scratches. Terrible! Blue shammy strip wrapped around my rear ladder rack and tore up my truck bed rail while in the car wash. Spoke with Chase the manager and he explained he's never seen this before and won't file a claim due to aftermarket. I asked him if his carwash has cameras. He said yes. I asked if he saw the 2:30pm footage from Friday. He said yes. I asked him what he saw and he explained he only saw a cloth strip hanging from my truck. So this manager reviews the evidence with the torn shammy strip on my ladder rack but refuses to file a claim. RIDICULOUS! Escalated through their customer care and spoke with Divisional head, Nate Perrell. He wanted to know how to help. I re-explained, he said he stands by corporate policy not to cover aftermarket accessories. Albeit the damage is to my truck. He told me they're self-insured when I asked for his insurance carrier. I then asked for his TPA group who is licensed to handle their claims. He refused so I asked for his manager. David Reep, Director of Operations. Mr. Reep, Director of Operations called me and amicable conversation. He was disappointed the problem had escalated to his level, and saw this claim was not fraudulent nor was the A/M ladder rack system installed in a shotty way. He hoped his staff could have made the same determination. Claim settled for repairs to bed rail. I appreciated his time and attention. It's important to understand the term "bailment" and how it applies. Paid for full detail. Asked if they pull mats out & scrub was told no that's an up charge. Paid the extra $7.50. Guy asked me to take a look make sure everything was good. Mats were still dirty, smudges, scuffs, spill was still all over interior that were already there, front under mats never vacuumed. The place was busy , everyone had an attitude, not one worker was smiling. I pulled mats out asked for them to clean I paid extra, plz vacuum under mats. I asked what they used to wipe interior, was told rag with water if I want I can pay an up charge for Armor All. I had Armor All wipes & spray in car, while they vacuumed & cleaned mats I wiped my car down. I still tipped because they probably don't make that much, I won't be returning. read more

I took my car in for a wash and a cleaning. After I got out of my car for the interior to be done, my car was fine. When I returned, my left rear panel was hanging off the car. No employee discussed with me an issue while drying the car. Clearly there was damage done to the panel/rear bumper that caused it to come out of place. I spoke with Jack and he told me it wasn't their responsibility because "it looks like the panel was compromised because there are two scratches on the panel." It's a black car and of course there will be marks on the car. I was then directed to complete an incident report and was told I would have no chance that it would be taken care of from them. The entire process was a joke and disingenuous. At no point did I feel my complaint was taken seriously or with any type of care. They are taking no responsibility for what clearly was damage done by their car wash. I want to be very direct, there was zero damage done to my car prior to coming to AutoBell that would have cause a panel to be hanging off, I would know if the panel of my car would easy pop off. I can't begin to tell you how disappointing it is to have a company turn their back on you and take no responsibility. I filed an "official" report with them and have not heard a word back from them. I went in for full service wash and probably the worst car wash I've ever had. I didn't think to look in back until I got home and it wasn't even touched. We have dogs and understand dog hair is tough to get out but it was obvious they made no attempt the first time. I went back same afternoon and they redid it but not one single comment about them missing anything or apology, only an excuse that the person who cleaned it in the morning said he did the best he could and it was really bad. It was NOT touched. Pictures are when I got home the first time, mats not wiped, back area totally untouched, directly under driver seat and along door jams not touched. I took my sons Mazda to be washed and vacuumed after a Florida road trip that included our dog , it came out pretty good considering I paid 23$ plus tip . All teenagers working there but they did a great job for the money considering it's not a 200$ detail wash so I don't know why the bad reviews but maybe I just got lucky that day . read more

I normally clean my car myself because I'm frugal and prefer to make sure it's done properly but being 36 weeks pregnant I decided to pass this task on to Autobell since the jingle has always stuck in my mind. The staff was super friendly and courteous but the interior "vacuuming" was subpar to my expectation. Maybe my expectation is too high but I feel when I pay to have something done it should be done well. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. Just like any other Autobell carwash. It was the closest place to me at a time when I really needed an exterior scrub on my car. The staff is fairly useless as I've found with all Autobell locations. See my review of one nearer into Charlotte to get an idea of how I really feel. All that said, a few bucks for a quick drive through wash makes your interactions with them limited. The downside is that they don't have the vacuums for you to use on the other side. In that regard, Sam's Express wins. And the price is about the same too. Of course the positive in Autobell's favor is that their wash just seems to clean the car better and actually hit the nooks and crannies. They have various tiers of wash all the way up to you getting out and letting them run your car through and hand clean and dry it for you. But that costs way too much and, as I've found in the past, isn't worth it. read more

I took my wife's car in for a car wash. I spent 50 dollars on the wash. The outside of the car was cleaned OK. The inside was cleaned horribly. I paid for the armorall for the inside the did a horrible job. There was armorall all over the place. They missed a bunch of spots got it in places that were no supposed to have it. When they did the windows they missed a bunch of spots. The cleaning cloth they used must have been dirty the windows look worse now than they were before I went in. I could see if the place was busy. There was only one other car there at the same time. They had 4 guys drying and cleaning the car. read more

This place is horrible. Its down the street from my house so I thought I would give them a try in hopes of receiving a good car wash. I purchased their most expensive wash, Super Polyprocess for $28.81. It was anything but super. They didn't clean the rear window of my Highlander, there are still fingerprints all over the window, they barely vacuumed the interior and there were plenty of bugs left on the front grille. Brought my older truck in and added extra cleaning for the carpets. Keep in mind the truck was completely empty of trash and personal belongings to make it easier for them. I paid $93 for the premium wash plus the extra carpet and interior cleaning. They were finished in less than 10 minutes. They did not do the extra cleaning and when they opened the door to show me the car I immediately noticed the side pockets were not even touched! The carpet was just as dirty. I don't know an easier way to sum it up than to tell the truth and just say that the car has never come away clean afterward. They clearly care not about quality. I have to go around in and out and spot clean every time. I just opened my trunk and I think there might be more sand in it (was at the beach last weekend) now than before the "wash" and yes, I got the most expensive wash there is for around $37 or $38 ... what's the point? I've taken my vehicle twice and I've been very impressed both times. I can't remember the name of the service, but it included washing the outside of the vehicle and vacuuming the inside. Both times they did a very thorough job cleaning the vehicle. I was hesitant because of the Yelp reviews, but I had a wonderful experience and won't hesitate to take my vehicle in again. Been here three times and each is bad. Last time I got my wife's car home and could see gummy residue on the doors. Not sure if they don't clean the auto scrubbers but they should. There is armor all over them or they use wiping rags wrong. It took me two hand washes to get it off. I usually hand wash our cars so I know the deal. On the last occasion there was no one there and they did a terrible job vacuuming the inside. Place is packed on weekends so I'm not sure why those people settle for a $30 poor wash job. I would pay $5 for their service. My advice is to ride down the street to the BP station and pay $8 for the autowash and do the vacuum yourself for $2. read more

I drove through for $4, and I don't think they had cleaned the brushes well, because when I left and returned home, there were wide, brush-stroke scratching down the passenger side of my white 2011 Sienna van. I am thinking about selling the van, so I am SUPER in tune with every nick/scratch on my vehicle... this was not done in a parking lot by a cart, or me, or anyone else. I have read on forums where this has happened to white SUVs before, and AutoBell never owned up to it and claimed it was there before they drove through. Well, my car went through the wash and was hand dried. That's the most I can say about what was done. The inside was wiped down but a lot of spots were missed, the vacuuming was minimal and the trash was just left in the side door pocket and on the backseat. I ended up vacuuming the car myself once I left. The windshields and windows were not properly cleaned. I didn't get a fragrance with the cleaning. Very disappointed. I paid for the super poly process and ended up getting a poor full service wash. read more

Excellent and cheap! Five dollars for a drive-through is amazing! You cannot find a carwash in Charlotte for five dollars that completely cleans your vehicle and drys it at the end. I have been going here for years and the quality is always mixed but never as bad as my trip this time. The kid who cleaned my car did a seriously horrible job. I got a full service wash and he didn't even wipe down my back seats or vacuum. I'm sorry but that is just terrible service when I payed for it. He didn't even touch the trunk. My brand new car less than 1000 miles received multiple scratches from recent wash. This was the cars first wash since purchase. Autobell filed a claim and denied on spot as employee indicated he was not allowed to sign approved and that corporate office will review (not true). Autobell have been ignoring me since 12/30. Refusing to give me back my receipt that was clipped to the original claim. Please think twice before you have your car washed at this location, take pics before and after. My scratches are like stones were embedded in cleaning equipment. Bad customer service and poor quality equipment. How is this not a scam? Maybe I'm wrong? I have been an Autobell customer since 1990. I'm sad to say today was my final visit. I paid $19.20 for the Exterior Special....undercarriage, polyprocess, etc. The car in front had the signs lit up for these items. My car goes through and my 6 yr old is able to tell we weren't getting the same service as the other car? The manager nonchalantly says 'yeah it does that all the time... we will just run it through again?' This is the FOURTH TIME AT THIS LOCATION THIS HAS HAPPENED?? So, if you don't pay attention you are paying for a $23 (incl.tip) car wash for a $10 basic water and soap only wash??
