I wish I had a better experience like the other reviewers here. 18 months ago, the touchscreen went out on my 2008 Prius. I found out about these guys on the Prius chat forum board that they repaired dead MFD's. I gave them a call and sent my screen in for repair. A week later, I received it back, and it looked like someone drop kicked it. The screen was all skewed in the bezel housing and had broken clips. I contacted them immediately, and they said it must have been damaged in shipping (funny, because the box it was shipped in was in pristine condition) and to send it back and they would take care of it. Well, I sent it back (and ate the cost of shipping it again) and waited another week to get it back again. They give a warranty for one year on the repair.... well, guess what? Right at the 18 month mark, it just died again today! My suggestion is to look elsewhere for your MFD repair, or find a certified used one on ebay. read more

I just found this place randomly online after my Toyota dealer could not repair my MFD and said that even replacement MFD were not available at any price (2008 Nav). I spoke with the repair tech on the phone and he sounded knowledgeable. The Yelp reviews of this part of the business sounded positive. I sent in the dead MFD, paid the repair fee and I got it back in about a week. Installed it and it's working normally. Its been about 2 weeks so far but they have a 12 month warranty on the repair. Auto be Yours- Although this place was recommended to me by a family member and was perhaps once upon a time a place of ethical and moral integrity I found quite the opposite. I was sold a Prius that had 71,000 miles and told I had to wait for them to restore it. I rented a car and waited for about month. I dropped the car off at the airport in Louisville and took possession of the car that they assured me had 71,000 miles. As I was almost to Louisville I looked down and noticed the speedometer said 171.000 miles! I called them and they agreed to take it back and find me another. Chris the owner found me a car with 100,000 miles and wanted to charge me more! But we agreed on the same price and I had to wait for them to fix it. I waited for weeks and I had a book signing tour in Virginia Beach and had to drive the "car". The morning I was to drive to Virginia Beach the car would not start. I called AAA but they could not start it. So I rented a car and went on my book tour. When I return I called AAA and had the car towed to AUTO BE YOURS. Chris refused to give me all the money back for my cash purchase. He short changed me over $1000.00 dollars blaming me for the battery dying and AAA for damaging the car!!! A few months ago the touch screen on my Prius died. When I took it to the dealership they said the part alone would cost $1,200, and there would be significant labor on top of that to actually do the repair, which is probably more than my car is worth at this point. However, after we pulled out the screen ourselves we figured the worst case scenario was losing $300 so we followed the instructions and sent off the touch screen. To our great surprise a couple weeks later we got it back, and it works perfectly. Autobeyourscom does exactly what they claim, and they will save you thousands of dollars. Additionally, I have not come across any other mechanic that does this repair. I highly recommend them if your touch screen dies on your Prius. read more

Ditto for all of the good things that others have said. I was quoted a crazy price by the Toyota dealer of $8900 for a new MFD (2006 Prius with 103K miles). Didn't trust what I would get from eBay. An online parts dealer sent me a refurbished one for $380, plus $300 reserved until I sent back my old MFD. But their MFD did not have the same electrical connections, so I had to send it back. Was getting discouraged as I could not use my defrost. Thankfully I came across AutoBeYours. Fast, easy process! Highly recommend them. The MFD on my daughter's 2009 Prius was acting up, not functioning and the touchscreen out of sync. Autobeyours provides great service. The main display (MFD) on my 2007 Prius went out - no image, no touchpanel, no cellphone, etc. - dead. The price of a new unit at the dealership is $6,400 + labor! Steve (of Autobeyours.com) has a video on Youtube showing how to disassemble the dash and remove the unit. I was a little about nervous doing it, but it went quickly and easily, only 4 minutes. I shipped the unit to them. The day they received it, I got a confirmation message with the invoice for the $299 repair. Two days later, the unit was repaired and on its way back to me via Express Mail. It arrived today. Three minutes to re-install it and I was back in business. I have a 2007 Prius has 75k hybrid battery replaced. Driving get the Triangle of death but car ran. Had battery replaced again at 1pm drove to client and couple hours driving back whole dashboard light shut off car stopped. Had towed to home replace inverter pump but still no dash light or Triangle. Called companies referred to Autobeyours. I purchased the 2014 Prius v back in August 2020. I drove it off their lot home to Detroit Michigan. The ride home was smooth sailing all the way. I continued to drive my new car worry free. Just last week, on November 2, 2020 my check engine light came on. In a panic I drove it to the nearest Toyota dealership and requested diagnostic test to be done. When the diagnostic test were completed the service department informed me that the light came on because I had driven my new car 5,000 worry free miles, and also I was not putting the gas cap on tightly after fill ups. They did the oil change. They told me I should see that light again after the next 5,000 miles. In short this is the best car I ever purchased in my life! It is the most efficient worry free car and rides like a dream. The family at Auto be yours is friendly, down to earth, and Honest. They explained everything to me about the history of my Prius V before completing the sale. They answered all of my questions to include a 12,000 mile, 1 yr full warranty. I just re-installed the Prius multi-function display repaired by Autobeyours and it's working again. (If that should change I will update this post.) My 2005 Prius MFD stopped providing any data for me and it would not control HVAC and radio.
