The quality of the work I won't question, but the fact that I got charged for 8 hours of labor to replace two hoses and a coolant filter is beyond me. PLUS TWICE YOU CHARGED ME 1.5$ per mile each direction on top of the 110$ Specialist fee for a person to pick up a part, 110/hour plus 85$ for fuel just for the guy to drive and pick up something you as a shop should provide because that's what you do, you fix trucks and trailers by replacing its parts. Why did I have to pay out of pocket for the mistake you made as a shop by not picking up all the right parts the first time around? Why did your mechanics neglect their duties to inspect every issue before being sent out and not be held accountable for THEIR mistakes? Why am I paying for 8 hours of labor when this is a 2-3 hours of actual labor if it was even done slowly? I appreciate the fact that my truck is up and running, but charging me an arm and a leg for it then telling me over the phone you're being fair with me is complete bulls***. Don't give with one hand and take with the other then try to come off like you're doing me a favor. I don't usually review services for other people but I want to give a big thumbs up for the emergency road side service for a retired U.S. Navy submariner Chief on his way to Washington State for an awards ceremony he needs to be at. His RV's transmission decided to retire on the cross country trip with 2400 miles to go. Considering this blow out could have happened anywhere, the local emergency repair was able to get a replacement Jasper transmission and install it , basically out in the middle of no where. Although the new trans was slightly delayed un arriving, the service technician was professional and competent , getting the RV back up and running. We certainly hope the everything stays together but we're greatly relieved the Plankowner Chief is on his way to the decommissioning event. If I could give less than 1 star I would!!!! if you EVER need a vehicle towed in Scott County. Do NOT EVER use GOODINS auto service. They are complete crooks. When My husband had an accident my dad and I asked if the car could just be taken right around the corner to our home. (Less than 1/2 mile) The police officer said yes go on to the hospital. They didn't tow it to our house. They took it back to GOODINS I called speak to them and asked how much it would be and why it wasn't taken to my home they told me it was taken to GOODINS because we left the scene. They not only charged me $175 for getting the car out of the tree, $40 for holding the car for 2 days, (it was less than 36 hrs when we asked for it to be towed again). but also charged me $75 to tow it back to my home for a grand total $335! The woman was NiCE enough not to charge me the 4% for using my DEBIT card not a credit card. I was told that generally they charge $275 to deal with a wreck like that. But I'd only owed $275 for the removal of the car and if they'd brought to my home like they were supposed to. GOODINS may have got an extra $60 out of me .....but they have now lost a lifetime customer and a few more. I will Pay EXTRA any day of any week to ANY other company but in nice terms that man at GOODINS is a CROOK!!!! read more
