They took excellent care of me as well as being very transparent in the repair process, in addition to being really easy in reaching out to them. I brought in a SUV with a pearl white metallic paint, which is a 3 stage coat paint, and they dead on match the color. The big scratch that was there just disappeared, as if nothing happened. Really great shop! I hit my coworker's car by accident and scratched the side of her nice ass Lexus pretty bad. The recommendation to use these guys came from my insurance agent, who said they were fair in price, as I was going to pay out of pocket. Both Zack and Raymond were very accommodating. Zack actually drove over from his house to let me park the car after the shop closed. Zack is absolutely adorable so if you are reading this, holler! I'm kidding, sort of. The quote was the same as the first place I took it to, but Raymond said he could cut some corners. By cutting corners I don't mean anything shady -- it was literally a paint job. The car looks awesome and I saved about $400 by not getting the Rolls Royce of paint jobs. Even though I live in Oakland and this place is in Marin, I will probably use them again. It's truly a rare occasion when a business exceeds my expectations. Raymond, the owner of AutoBody Express did just that. I have a 2015 Range Rover that had "issues" on almost every panel and lots of front end wear and tear. It was time to make it brand new again. I have gotten three other quotes, and in addition to being much higher in price they all wanted the car for about 5 to 7 days, which means I would be in a rental, increasing the cost. Raymond was able to get it done in two days, and went beyond what we had agreed to do. His shop is tucked behind a building, and the main entrance is actually on the street behind, just follow the signs. His shop is large and bright with vintage bicycles and surfboards surrounding the perimeter. I also enjoyed talking with Raymond and finding out all the good work he does in the community and he sounds like an awesome dad too. Unlike the extremely large mainstream auto body shops pumping cars out as fast as they can; not paying attention to detail. They will take care of anything you need. Raymond is one of the best auto body mechanics in San Rafael and takes pride on everything he works on. And makes sure all of his customers are satisfied before they leave w/ with their car done. I backed my Mercedes C350 into a rack of bikes that left a nice-sized dinger on the trunk. I got estimates from 4 auto body shops (all came highly recommended), each of which said it was a bad dent. 3 estimates were about the same at @ $950, and 1 came in at $3100 (Anthony's Auto Craft). Raymond of Autobody Express actually sent me off with the name of another guy, who does remote dent repairs, because he thought I could save money and the guy would do a great job. I tried that avenue, but it didn't work out, so I went back to Raymond. Raymond quoted $940 and the final bill came out lower, at $860. The car looks perfect! I couldn't be happier. I knew when I met Raymond that he was just what I was looking for: an honest person. I'd had 2 other bids, both almost $1,000. Raymond's philosophy is to do the minimal amount of work to make your car look like new. After talking with him I knew he was the right person to use. He repaired several dings & scratches on my Prius & spoiler, even an area I didn't ask him to do, without raising his price (which was about 1/3rd of the other 2 bids). He knows his cars, and with the newer ones being so low to the ground, it's inevitable that you'll need/want more touch-ups & repairs on down the road. It's a great relief to me to have used Raymond, knowing I can keep my car looking like new!
