I came in to get my car window repaired and to remove the deep scratches on my passenger side door. This review is mainly for the car window repair. I was very unhappy with the work done! My passenger side window was completely shattered due to vandalism. I did not think about cleaning the broken glass myself but instead called the professionals at Marin Collision. However, I was disappointed in their clean-up! Not professional at all! There were still tiny fragments of glass all over the floor in the backseat, underneath the seats, and even inside the seat pocket! I am STILL finding tiny pieces of glass on my car's floor five months later! This is after multiple times of vacuuming my own car since first visiting Marin Collision in April! I do not recommend coming here to get your broken window fixed! read more

After a minor collision, my insurance company told me to call a body shop to set up an appointment for a repair estimate, and to say that calling this particular shop was a mistake would be a severe understatement. The overall work and customer service is exceptionally poor given that they're being referred by MINI of Marin. My MINI Cooper 2010 was rear ended and the bumper needed to be detached, painted, and placed back again. They did an awful job of fixing the bumper back into the right place. As a result the bumper is misaligned and now has a gap between the plastic pieces. The gap is visibly big compared to other MINI Cooper 2010 models. When asked they never offered to take any comparable measurements, let alone fix the issue for me. I had to take the car to MINI of Marin showroom for a measurement and they confirmed that the rear bumper was not placed properly. The people from the shop are extremely passive-aggressive and you can never predict what their real intentions are. They'll tell you they're taking care of everything while you can only expect them to be blunt or unresponsive when asked questions. They are rude and distastefully unhelpful. I am never returning to this shop and will be working with another shop to fix the bumper. read more

In short: Extremely time-efficient, honest, fair-prices and did above-and-beyond what I asked for. I came to Marin Collision Center after searching yelp far and wide for a reputable repair shop - an area of trepidation for me as I know very little about cars. Chris was warm and efficient. He was able to look at my car almost immediately after which I was able to go back to work (within 10m of arrival on the lot). He emailed me a quote, which I thought was fair and reasonable. Within 48hrs the part had arrived and I drove my car back to Marin Collision. They were finished with the repair (mirror had ripped off) within 1 hr and I picked up the car several hours after I dropped it off. In addition to fixing my mirror (what I paid them to do) they buffed out a few minor scratches on my bumper and helped replace my license plates which had rusted screws making them extremely difficult to take out - all for no charge. Seriously, I had never had such a pleasant experience at a body shop, ever. My semi-exotic aluminum bodied car was damaged, and Marin Honda Body Shop is one of the few in the area certified to perform repairs on aluminum cars. When I drove into the shop, I noticed a number of exotic aluminum bodied cars: Ferrari 599, Acura NSX, Honda Insight and others which could not be repaired at most other shops. Due to the severity of the damage, the repair took two months, mostly waiting for parts to arrive. Thanks to their extensive network with salvagers and parts dealers, all authentic parts down to some esoteric parts were located. And the finish: the paint job was arguably equal if not better than factory, and the manager, Steve has the eyes to spot any imperfections which most eyes would not see. The panel alignment was perfect, there was nothing sloppy about the repair work. During the agony of waiting for the repair to be completed, they kept me informed of the progress on a regular basis via e-mail, and questions with regards to replacement parts were answered promptly. All the conversations with the insurance company were handled, and I did not have to get involved at all. In all, a top notch job. Thanks! read more

I rarely post to Yelp but I had to write a review after picking up my car today at Marin Collision. Brian Johnson was the estimator and project coordinator. He went above and beyond what I would have expected with this auto body job. They could not find parts for my rare 2011 Saab 9-5, so they did all the body work without new parts. They even threw in the added work of fixing the scrapes and repainting the front bumper, which I didn't expect at all. The body work and paint job they did were really impressive, and the customer service far surpassed my expectations. My schedule has turned incredibly hectic, and I thought about perhaps trying a new place that was closer to my home. Was rear-ended on a freak rainy day in June of this year. My vehicle didn't even have plates assigned yet, so you can bet I was bummed and worried my car wouldn't ever be the same. USAA recommended Marin Honda Body Shop as did Marin Acura. I later learned that this shop is one of only two Acura "Certified" repair facilities in the Bay Area. Well, being that my Acura now needed some work, I was referred to Glenn McClure, who handled my claim from start to finish. I bombarded him with (probably annoying) requests to ensure that the work would be up to my exacting -- and admittedly, in some cases, unreasonable -- standards. Marin Collision Center did a fantastic job on my MiniCooper as far as repairing the ding - it looks brand new! However, the communication between my estimator, Glenn and me was less than stellar; if you expect someone to call you back when he says he will, that's not gonna happen. The timing for picking up my vehicle was "off," phone calls not returned, so I had to constantly call and he rarely answered his phone - so I was continually having to ask yet another person about my car. The shop did a great job of repairing the panel, but I'm not sure it's worth having no communication, missed deadlines and miscommunication as it happened. read more

WOW!!! Talk about over the top great service! My 2 years old Jeep Compass was keyed by some jerk on three panels on one side, very deep. I checked out three auto body places for a price and MCC was the most reasonable for price and time. They were also recommended by AAA. They were timely in their work and my Jeep looked brand new when they were done, I also suspect they did a detailing job on my Jeep so it looks PHENOMENAL!!!
