I'm in the process of selling my 2017 Porsche 718 Cayman S which is in immaculate conditions to buy a brand new GTS, a friend told me about AutoBuy and said they pay more than any other competitor so I have them a chance, called them in, answered a bunch of questions uploaded a bunch of pictures then got a call from Biel the next day with a lowball offer... He asked me if I had any other offer for them to match/improve and I said I do have one from CarMax so I sent it to him and silence was all I got... Two days later I texted Biel and got a good bye response saying they couldn't match or improve the CarMax offer. I came to Autobuy after going to CarMax which is pretty close by. I recommend going to both and weighing your options. Autobuy beat Carmax by $150 but unfortunately they do charge a $59.99 fee. I think they try to justify this by being able to give you a check right away as compared to CarMax might take a week for payment. I was selling a 2009 Honda Civic with 191k miles on it so I did not expect much, but they offered $1650 which was on par with some online sites. My car needed the AC fixed, new paint, new tires and just a few things simply falling apart that I was not going to pay for myself. It was finally time to say goodbye after 11 years! An appraiser checked out my car fairly quickly and I'd say I was In and out in an hour. First I got an online offer of $12,600 I know it's online offer so I went in the morning expecting them to offer less when they actually see the car, I went they checked out the car saw a bad carfax still clean title they offered all the way down to $5,000 I told them no my lowest would be $7,500 they accepted that offer as a buy now price but I didn't have paper work on me, so for their convenience to not use the car anymore I Ubered home got another car and got the title printed went back and they asked for a bill of sale notarized, once again left spend more money time and gas, came back with bill of sale and title and they said they could no longer buy the car( this is 2 hours later only same exact day), then they noticed how they were bad business and started giving excuses of bad carfax which they already knew about and said they'll still buy the car but only for $5,000, I waisted my whole morning, time, and almost $200 getting all the stuff they needed as fast as possible for them to then end up being declined, ridiculous. read more

I can't auto buy based on a recommendation on one of my friends who sold his leased vehicle and received according to him the best price possible. I came in without an appointment requesting for an inspection. The customer services representative in the front were very accommodating and very hospitable and took down my information. After a short wait the gentleman came to inspect my vehicle which lasted about 10 to 15 minutes. I can see through the windows he search the entire vehicle and took it for a short drive, 1 block approximately. The gentleman came back with an offer for my Lexus which was exactly what I wanted. I Had a great experience doing business with Autobuy at their Miami Gardens location. Found them online while looking to sell my 2022 Hyundai Elantra and decided to stop by after seeing the many positive reviews. Showed up on Sunday afternoon to a mostly empty warehouse type plaza with plenty of available parking was able to pull right up to the suite door. Soon as I walked in was met by Pierre at the front desk. He kindly asked if I had an appt scheduled, told him I did not and he penciled me in anyway no issues and said to give him a few minutes to inspect. After completion he presented me an offer, I showed I had a better one from Carmax (online they stated will beat any legit offer they gave) and then beat their offer by over $400! The final steps were taken care of by Ruth. She prepared all the closing paperwork, handled the payoff remaining to my lender, and even coordinated my transportation home! 10/10 best in the business I will be recommending everyone come to Autobuy. read more

We got an offer from Carvanna for $800 more than what this company offered. Brian lied to my elderly mother telling her he used to work with the sales manager over at Carvanna. He stated he shared his company's contracted appraiser's report and Carvanna said they would pass. We Found out later he never spoke with Carvanna and Carvanna is still sending my mother offers to buy that same car to this day. Tried getting it resolved with Steve, the owner, supposedly. He tried to stall out on the complaint by saying he'll get back with us. He never did. When I called him back he tried to fast talk me, bait me into an argument, and talk over me. So I decided i need to warn others about this company. I will be reaching out to google and every other review page and social media outlet. Consumers must fight back. . I feel it is unfair and deceptive for any company to advertise we beat any price, and then when the customer presents another competitor company for price matching , they lie and tell you the competitor says they will pass on the product. It is wrong for this company to defame buyers and their cars by using their contracted appraisers findings to do so. I feel it is extremely unfair for this company to go behind the consumers back and underhandedly contact the competitive company provided by the consumer for price matching purposes only. They definitely compete with Carmax. After reading reviews I definitely wanted my Carmax appraisal in hand before coming. I scheduled an appointment and was able get in the same day I also received a phone call with confirmation for the appointment. When I arrived I was greeted by friendly staff. I will say I thought I was at the wrong place because it looked like a vacant lot because there were no cars in the parking lot, but mine. After being greeted by staff I was immediately asked if I've been to Carmax and if I have a copy of my appraisal. I refused to provide until after they gave me a number so I could negotiate. The place was clean and the customer longe was nice. There was a tv and a vending machine. The appraisal started as soon as I came in. Of course they came back with a low offer then when I popped out the Carmax appraisal they tried to top it by 1k pending approval. So then the waiting game and negotiation started. They then only wanted to beat Carmax by 200, then wanted to beat Auto lenders by 100, however they have fees $59 which still took away money so I ended up going with another company Auto Lenders and I got more money! read more

2nd time dealing with Auto Buy, and both offers were more than CarMax. On this recent visit, got an offer in under 30 minutes, and it was 1K more than CarMax and almost $1200 more than my lease buy off price. I went in the next day and sold the car to them. It was no hassle, everything was smooth. I can understand how this may not work for everyone, because certain cars are worth more to them (in auction) than others, but you cant be upset if they don't offer what you want. I came in with a realistic expectation, and they exceeded it. On my first transaction with them, the offer for my car was lower than expected, but it was fair, and it was also more than CarMax. All recent reviews are pretty much on point. They do not offer you the "Best" offer. Far from it. Similar to the other reviews, they asked if I had another offer. When I told them I did from Carmax (which was $5000 more than their offer) they asked to see a copy and that they would try to match or go above it. My opinion on this is that they offer the lowest offer and hope that you are not smart enough or educated enough to shop around and find out for yourself what the true value of your vehicle is. Pretty sad. The front desk clerk and sales rep were nice enough. But unfortunately for them, I have enough knowledge to see that this is a scam. I first took my car to Autobuy for an appraisal and they offered me 20k and then I went to Carmax and they beat the offer for 22k, without to see the appraisal from Autobuy. I spoke over he phone with the sales person from Autobuy, send him the Carmax appraisal and they beat the offer for 22,2k. I went back to Carmax and sold my car because they made a serious offer from the beginning. Autobuy should have paid the max because their marketing campaign (we pay the max) :-) read more
