I recently dropped my car off around 1 PM on my workday for a tire rotation. Since the process was going to take 90 minutes, they sent me in a Lyft back to work. Later in the afternoon, I received a video recommending multiple things I should have worked on. Ultimately, I decided to only have one of the recommendations done on top of the tire rotation. Around 5 PM that day, I received a notification my car was ready for pickup and that I would need to get there in 50 minutes (before the shop closed). Unfortunately, I was unable to leave work until 7:30 PM, so I was informed I could pay online and my keys would be left with the sales team (which was supposedly staying open later). By the time I arrived at the dealership (roughly around 7:45 PM), no one was there. A janitor informed me that the dealership closed 2 hours early for a holiday party so there was no one to give me my keys. She kindly walked me over to the holiday party, which was full of dealership employees. I spoke to one gentlemen and explained the situation. He told me there was nothing he could do and told me to come back in the morning (even though I told him my working hours were before the dealership opened). Due to the fact I was not helped, I was not able to get into my home that night (my apartment keys were in my car). I had to sleep at a friend's apartment and my dog was left alone for almost 24 hours due to not being able to access my apartment. When I arrived the next morning, I had to miss work to pick up my car. The gentleman who got my keys in the morning told me he was at the holiday party the night before and that he would've been able to assist me. Oh...and my keys just happened to be inside the front desk of the lobby I walked in the night prior and the key to that desk was just sitting behind the computer screen the entire time. The reason I share this information is because I find there is a glaring lack of communication and empathy at this business. After spending over $600 for repairs, I was left without my car, access to my apartment, and missed a work day. Must mention we went to Brickell prior and we were given the old 1980's runaround, they try to beat you up all day till you finally take whatever it is they want to sell you at their price. At Ocean Mazda we had an excellent experience with our salesman WILLIAM , I highly recommend asking for him! He listened to our (pain points) comments questions and concerns and addressed them all in detail! He had the product knowledge to guide us to the vehicle best suited for our purposes wants and needs! Sales service (4 stars) However I have experience mediocre service for my vehicle needs and not satisfactory resolved, under my expectations. 1. For that appointment initially schedule for a Saturday and noted by service manager 3 weeks in advance, a few day later was changed to a weekday without option on a Saturday , forcing me to take time off work to take the vehicle to be inspected. (Again, not able to get the problem fixed ) 3. Calling to the number is imposible, no person was available to attend and the mailbox is full and unable to leave any message. I had a mission imposible to modify the appointments,, my last resource was to drive here and try to accommodate on my time by spending countless hours waiting for my car to be inspected again. (Previous time the service was incomplete due to a missing part) 4. After service on my car, the white leather interior was left with dark marks from the technician, not inspecting vehicle before turning to owner is terrible. And they do not offer car wash included with the service as other dealers do, and I am used to (this service cost here $70) Not compliment for your $40K purchase No good. Truly negative experience. Had to wait 4 days to get an update on my credit application using an excuse the finance and sales rep were off throughout that period. I would call each day and was told they are busy and will call me but never did. Also, was once advised to change my 4 brake pads which were on poor shape. I went ahead and did two of them and 3 months later decided to go to the west kendall location and I was told my brakes were fine and did not need new ones. At this point I did not return to the Doral location until recently where I had to wait 4 days to get a response due to lack of customer service and communication. read more

Mazda is an awful car and company with a terrible dealer network. After you buy it, their dealerships will screw you over any chance they get. The dealers try to bury the truth with thousands of fake glowing reviews on Google and the like. I've had $3000 repairs in 3 years on a new car with nothing covered under warranty. This year a bolt head broke off on the bottom of the car and it would cost $2,000 to fix. "The wheel could have come off at any moment" killing the driver at highway speeds. The warranty/dealer (since FYI I was told over the phone, Mazda actually has no authority over dealers) will not cover it due to the "rust," yet the surface areas around there and other side aren't "rusted." More likely the bolt was defective, over, or under-torqued, causing it to snap off THEN rusting (no rust coating under the bolt). I've been driving that car with a "clanking" noise indicating this problem for as long as I can remember. It's obviously NOT provable no matter what they say. But forget it, let's say it's rust. And they still won't cover it? In the end, not covering something this fatally insane in a new car just shows you they have no confidence in them. The guy at the dealer couldn't even keep his rust story straight! He told me "it happened when I drove it to Florida" (like these cars aren't supposed to be driven lol. Amazing how they will trash their own cars if that's the direction the $$$ is) or "call the original dealer you bought it from and complain" who I called and said it should have been covered. So basically it's like buying an iPhone in Wisconsin and you're in Florida, needing Apple to enforce the warranty, and they told you to go back to the store in Wisconsin to do that? Absolute egregious treatment Useless Mazda Customer Experience wouldn't even fully reimburse the rental and it took months to get the money. I also noticed how much smoother it rode. Carlos helped me out so much, I had a horrendous credit score and Ronnel is a beast when it came to approving me and getting a better interest rate than my last Mazda for a worse rate I was given and my credit score was better back then. They let me test drive the car and really have a feel for it! I've never been happier to say that Ocean Mazda did not fail me. Very good warranty and no headaches for a while. Last weekend I went in for my first service on the new car, so called a few days prior to make appointment 11:30am Saturday Jan. 11th. I arrived to find both the sales center and service area under reconstruction / renovation. There were quite MANY vehicles waiting in lines to be serviced and I was asked to stop at the T-intersection before I could get in line because they were managing the traffic flow of waiting cars in front of me. Initial thought was this was going to be chaotic, but did not have to wait long at the intersection, and able to turn right and park behind a car. Next was the amount of customers waiting for the service guy, and a guy calling out numbers. Did not know what this is I asked a customer where to get them and she said I had to get them from the guy. No bueno for me, as I quickly got the attention of a guy frantically walking around and informed him I had a appointment and how does it work here. He asked me to wait a moment and promptly went back toward the service offices. A few minutes later my name was called and walked over, sat in an office and they apologized for the delay. Joey Tejeda, my service advisor, processed my 1st service, ticked through the items they would be doing on the car (note the manual says tires don't need rotation until 10,000 miles so since my car had about 5,000 I declined their tire rotation). He also suggested I wait on premises as it would speed up my service. Given what I just saw outside, I took him up on his quoted offer waiting about an hour and a half. Waiting are inside: Sharing the same long-ish room where the cashier and parts accesories are, it was a nice amenity to see a small cafe offered. Upon closer look, it had very little items on display, empty-ish but maybe being close to noon I missed the breakfast rush? Anyway, also next to this area as the waiting area with short leather chairs comfortable to sit in as well as a long stubby counter table n chairs for those that want to charge up their devices. Overhead, is a flat panel TV with football on. I settled in awhile catching up on items online. Eventually went outside to stretch the legs a bit and taking photos of construction, even finding layers of dust on a new car parked on the side of the service area. Upon going back inside and sit down, my service advisor surprised me with info they are done and the car in the courtesy quick wash. Nice! He reviewed what was done, found, etc everything within specs. Then said the cashier would soon call me. I expected another 10 or 15 minutes, but as soon as he left my name was called. Wow. Walked up to the cashier to sign off the paperwork no need to pay. Was directed to wait outside and my attention immediately called to the right as my washed car awaited with the porter! All nice and said the total wait was like my service advisor said to be about an hour and a half but I believe to be less closer a hair more of an hour. The washed car? it was a quick outside wash which still was not perfect but my car was very dirty dusty bringing it in. Very nice time which left a good convenient afternoon to grab lunch n beer nearby in Doral! read more

Where mediocrity is less than what I have come to expect in customer service especially in Dade County, enter Joey Tejeda. I had a received a 50% off coupon for a oil change here. I admit I was extremely hesitant. 1) dealers have a reputation of being expensive 2) they are almost an hour from me (traffic ) 3) my best friends husband had a huge problem at a dealer where he paid $300 for a service that included tire rotation. He marked the tires and they were NEVER rotated. Dispute ensued and he was credited back the entire amount. So, I made an appointment on the app to "try it out" and take advantage of the 50% off deal. I left the service advisor assigned to me a detailed voicemail message the Friday morning before the Monday appointment to follow up because a) needed to be in and out b) there was another issue that had arisen. NEVER HEARD BACK. So I was already salty. When I arrived there was a long line and they were "backed up" (picture the line at chik-fil-a) and they couldn't find me in the system (vin). Now I am heated. I.drove.one.hour. Then out nowhere, Joey Tejeda appears like Superman, and says "I got this". He looks very young so my expectations dropped even more. He 1) got me out within a reasonable time frame just in time for my meeting in Sunrise. 2) ordered me a Lyft so I work out of a nearby branch 3) fixed my other issue 4) worked to get me the best deal with current promos. Phenomenal 10 star service. Love this kid. Joey / Madza has earned my business for the remaining life of my vehicle. read more

Don't buy here! I had a horrible and extremely stressful experience at this dealership. I bought a used car, with only 8500 miles on it. It has a smell, they lied and said would go away. It did not, they changed the air filter and didn't put the glove box back correctly. It fell on my 104 year old mother's leg taking her skin with it. The smell is still there. The car had a recall they didn't tell me about, and when I took it for the recall, I found out it needed 4 new tires?? They let me come back once when they changed the air filter and have refused to speak to me or address these issues since. This car was not properly cleaned or checked before they sold it to me. I don't feel safe in it. I've written the GM, the President of the Company, Mazda, and no one has gotten back to me. How sad and dishonest that hey would take advantage of a woman shopping for a car to take her elderly mother to medical appointments. Shame on you! And then I found out the axel was bent and that the car was probably in an accident. I'm sure they would not like if someone sold their wives or sisters a car like this. Great service! I made an appointment for service due to recalls on my car. I brought it in and was told about 2-2.5 hours (online it said 1 hour but that's understandable). They also noticed my car had a slow start and were able to replace the part for free since my warranty was about to expire. Andy did a great job of explaining what services I needed today and what I should have done soon. Unfortunately waiting for the part did take awhile so I went to the mall nearby, great place to wait. The waiting area was pretty chilly but the bathrooms were clean and they had a little cafe for coffee and snacks! I would bring my car back here in the future but expect a wait and make an appointment if you're going during the week! read more

Wow. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of responsiveness to negotiation. Apparently this dealership sees a woman coming with a check for a lease payoff and pretends to negotiate. Not sure whether it's being a woman, or a smart woman that was more intimidating. Sad that they would let a deal go over a few simple fees, and as mom used to say cut off the nose to spite the face. I am not one to post a bad review but after my horrible experience, I feel like I just have to warn people about this place. I was unfortunately one of people who had their car flooded during the tropical depression. Ocean Mazda's website clearly states that they service flooded vehicles. I brought my car in, had my insurance ready, and expected it done in a week. A week goes by and I call asking for updates about my car. They said they didn't have my car any more, the sent it to another shop to be repaired for a lower cost. I was confused because I specifically brought my vehicle to them, and insurance approved any shop of my choice. I go to the other shop to pick up my car. It was awful. The only ripped off the padding underneath the carpet, didn't clean or inspect anything like I asked. The service light was still on, and it smelled awful. I called Ocean Mazda, expressing my disappointment with the service, and asked if they would fix it correctly. They argued with me with everything I brought up. The maintenance light? Must the the radio. The carpet not being cleaned and installed incorrectly, that's how it's done. So after myself and my insurance calling and having to speak with the manager, they agreed to take my car back, to have it fixed. 3 months go by, and finally they call saying my car is ready. I inspect my car and yes, finally new carpet, but now my buttons in my door no longer work, my center console lid is broken off, and everything else I asked to be fixed, is not. There was dust on everything as if it was just sitting those three months without being touched. The seats smell terrible, are now rusted and feel damp constantly. I was really hoping to keep my car for a long time, and the whole time they had my car, I kept getting letters from them saying I was approved to buy a new car from them, perhaps that's why they didn't want to do the work correctly. So instead of having them take my car back for god knows how much longer, I'm just going to have to take it elsewhere to get it fixed with people who have integrity in their work. Please do not take your car to get serviced here, the work WILL NOT be done correctly. read more

The Service Department at Ocean Mazda is probably the best I have experienced with any of my cars. They go out of their way to attend to you and your car as quickly as possible. I was told my car would take a little more than two hours and it was probably a little less than an hour before they called me. I love their Lyft service too! I purchased a 2018 preowned Mazda CX-5 from here. The experience was very good and will definitely recommend coming to visit them. Everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful. The dealer is very clean and spacious. I traded my old car also here. Finance was pretty smooth (though I arranged finance myself later). Basically, I was able to take the car with only courtesy contract. Being a preowned car, there were few issues but was quickly resolved by both sales and services team. I would like to recognize the efforts of Steven, Angel Pelaez, Brian Morales, Steven, Andy and the entire team for amazing customer service. The dealership is clean well maintained and the staff was friendly and courteous. They even got us a Lyft to and from the mall while we waited. So freaking cool of them. I highly recommend you give this place a try. They even sent a video explaining the recommended maintenances that our vehicle needed and explained thoroughly. My piece of shit 2019 Mazda 3 series is once again stuck at Miami international airport as the pathetic key fob does not allow me to open the doors or start the car. This is the second time in my 57 years on earth that this has happened , both with this car. I stupidly went to Ocean Mazda in Doral to see if they could help. The only option given to me was to have the car towed to the dealership as they can not remotely assign a new key fob to the car even with the VIN #. Avoid Mazda products in general, and Ocean Mazda in particular as neither company gives a shit about you. Stay with Honda or Toyota. read more
